The offerings are fantastic, with fresh salmon lox, a heaping helping of cream cheese, capers... you name it! I had The Fancy Fancy on an everything bagel, my husband had Lev's Bagel on a poppyseed bagel. I can't stress enough how delicious everything was, and I was thoroughly impressed with the portions. The bagels here are really good! I chose The Easy bagel and the salmon was very fresh. Same goes for the other fillings like the cream cheese and dill. I like how there's a self serve water station. They also have snacks on a shelf for sale! There's lots of seating but I think this place gets busy in the mornings since they only open Friday-Sunday from 9am-2:30pm. If you want to sit outside, there's two tables and a bench for you to sit outside and enjoy your bagel. This place is great if you enjoy lox bagels. Messaged them immediately and asked which sandwich it was and made plans to go and grab it. Went early in the morning right as they opened (I am traumatized by Toronto restaurants and always try to go as close to opening as possible). Store is located by St Clair and Bathurst, the store itself is pretty spacious and friendly to the eye. Onto the bagel.... it had salmon lox, a bunch of other amazing toppings and CHIPS!! I love a crunch component in my meals so this was the perfect bagel to order. Surprisingly it wasn't too messy to eat either it somehow all stayed together. All the flavours went super well together and it was a pretty generous offering of salmon lox which i enjoyed. My favorite place for lox and cream cheese bagels in the city! The small-batch smoked fish is definitely a step above. My toddler will ONLY eat lox from here and turns his nose up when he's served lox from other locations. The pastries, Savoury tarts, etc are also really good and the smoked trout salad is seriously too tasty. It's never lasted more than a day in my fridge and I eat it with a spoon. The owner Lev is friendly and remembers your name/order. The sandwiches are on Montreal bagels, which are slightly smaller, but I actually enjoy that I can taste the fish and toppings more. OMG.... Just OMG!!! WOW. Lez and her staff are awesome. It's quite a large space, with 7 very large tables and 2 cafe tables in front, and very comfortable! I had the Fancy Fancy Crunchy on a toasted sesame bagel. OMG!! So absolutely fantastic! Just spectacular! And definitely get the "crunchy", they add dill pickle chips! Now they don't use tomatoes in the winter, because they taste like cardboard! But you don't miss them at all! And they have smoked salmon prepacks to take home too. The smoked salmon is to die for. It's done in house. That's the big difference. I dislike commercial smoked salmon; I find all you taste is a ton of smoke and nothing else. Not here! The smoked salmon is so fantastic! I order my lox with no choice of cream cheese style and only one topping choice. What? I sit down, they bring it to me and it's not a big proper bagel like I was expecting but this tiny little thing like a 1950's donut. So I'm staring down at this junior bagel with one choice of cream cheese and one topping and their tap thing and thinking "What are these clowns doing?" I take a bite of the bagel. Holy shit. This is the real deal. The salmon is unusually high quality. Most places there's that sort of chewy sinewy kind of thing going on. This was fresh, buttery, tasty with a smooth texture. Amazing. The cream cheese is even better. I don't know if it was super hyper super food organic and/or higher fat content but compared to other cream cheeses it was like margarine vs butter. Absolutely smooth and rich. Just fantastic. An absolutely incredible tasting lox sandwich. I enjoy my food and I'd rate this up there as a top food experience. Now down to the sandwich, they use a cashew based cream cheese with veggies that are both fresh and cut to perfection. Thinly sliced onions, cucumbers, and a bushel of sprouts and fresh dill. I love this spot for so many reasons. The sandwiches are stand out - consistently delicious. Every person in the place has a giant smile on their face as they take a bike of their OG or Fancy Fancy. The ingredients are such good quality and the price is right. If you're lucky, you'll come in on a day when the smoker is going, and the whole place is so cozy and fragrant that you'll never want to leave. The staff and owner make the spot feel like community living room where everyone is welcome. The pickled red onions are divine and the fresh dill is a great touch. When the tuna bagel is on special I highly reccomend stepping back from the salmon to try it out. It is UNREAL. You have never had tuna salad this good. And with all the toppings, on a warm bagel........... seriously, some magic is happening behind that counter and I don't know what it is, but I don't need to know either.
