An October late afternoon was spent here wandering through Lewisville Regional Park, and by the end I felt like I'd stumbled into a slice of old‑school nature magic. The park's 2.8‑mile trail winds through a mix of dense forest and sunlit meadows along the East Fork Lewis River, giving you moments of peaceful reflection and wide-open breathing room. We decided to spend our time taking Halloween photos all over the park. While enjoying ourselves, it was great inspiration. There is something grounding about the tall Douglas firs and the hum of the river nearby. I found a quiet spot on one of the gravel paths, sat down for a bit, and just watched as the river ran. Apparently it's not just a walking park, either..there are places to picnic, horseshoe pits, and even a small boat launch if you want to get out on the water. There are lots of picnic tables and covered shelters too, perfect for a family gathering or a chill afternoon with friends. I heard on warm days, people swim here..though heads up, there are no lifeguards and the river currents can be strong. Parking is simple, though there's a daily fee (around $3 for a car). If you come here often, the annual pass is a pretty good deal. If you're craving a place to get away from the city, stretch your legs, or just be near water and trees, Lewisville Regional Park is the perffffect place. This park is fabulous. After a very frustrating entrance I figured there was no way the park could impress, but it won me over. We took the loop trail, about 3 miles around the park, into the forest and along the river. There are multiple large grassy areas, play areas, and courts. The pavilions are superb. They are fully equipped, including a water source and fire pit, and are spread out throughout the acreage. The trail was great as well. The paths are very wide and well maintained, a dog walkers paradise. I was also impressed with the amount of trash cans, no excuse for litter in this park. There was a very small thing that really impressed me, hadn't seen it before...a container near the waters edge to place used fishing line. Would love to see those more often! The ONLY negative experience we had was trying to get in. Neither of the parking pass machines were working well and consistently. It took us about 10 tries to get a ticket. After multiple swipes of the credit card and attempts with some bills, we finally got one. And it wasn't us, we had a long line behind us and multiple people out trying to get them to work. When we left the park we noticed the same traffic jam...they definitely need addressed! As frustrating as the parking machines were, the park made up for it. Hmm, I'm tempted to make this a 1-star review so that I could be the first & only one....... Fantastic park -- one of the best in Clark County. Tons of reservable spots if you want to throw a party. Nice place for an extended walk. Lots of places to take your toddlers (playgrounds). Tennis courts, boat launch. I would say parents need to keep a close watch if their children are near the river. Children have drowned here..... Only downside is on a really nice day 503 northbound can get really backed up. IMO the annual park pass is a really good deal -- also gets you in to Klineline. read more

It was a cool and damp Pacific NW day, when Erin suggested that we take a short drive to the Lewisville Regional Park and walk the 3 mile loop trail. It took a little while to navigate to the end of the park to begin our walk. But parking was easy and with the exception of the occasional dog walker, we felt that we had this beautiful park to ourselves. The park is huge, spacious, green, and gorgeous, especially along the river. Along the way were play and picnic areas, river access, and room for about anything one wanted to do in a park (preferably legal). We saw hardly any litter and I guess the only caution is that not all the restrooms were open when we were there. The hike was great and I'd love to come back the next time we're in town. Jim and Erin also purchased a park pass, which eases any complications around fees. read more

This is one of my favorite places to go when I want a kid-friendly trail or walk to do with my little one. It's easy to find and access yet feels like it's own little world. The park is really large which means I've never felt too crowded or too many people. I also love that there's some water for the days that get warm. Definitely recommend to anyone looking for a light outdoor trail or something to do with the family. read more

There is little denying Lewisville Regional Park's natural beauty or history as Clark County's oldest park (1936). The East Fork of the Lewis River rushes its way through the park at widely varying speeds, currents, and depths. Swimming is allowed, but at your own risk. Otherwise, the tall Douglas Firs and cool Pacific Northwest air provide a few good options for hiking. A very easy 2.5-mile loop trail along the river and through some forests combines a mix of dirt, gravel, and paved paths. Throughout all of it, dogs must be on a leash at all times. The only real negative about Lewisville Regional Park is the parking fee. It costs $3 to drive in which is why you'll see so many cars parked near the entrance. The fee is required year-round; however, the toll booths are only staffed from mid-spring to mid-fall. When no one is at the booth, visitors are expected to submit parking fees at the self-pay stations. An annual pass is $30. There are over 300 parking spaces. Lewisville Regional Park is open daily 7:00 a.m. to sunset. Scattered throughout the 154-acre park are picnic tables plus some shelters and BBQ grills. A work group rented one of the shelters for about $150 (not including parking) that allowed us to stake out a space for a company barbecue. There are 5 restroom facilities in the park, too. With so many other great parks and nature reserves nearby that don't charge parking, we rarely come here except when attending a group or family party. When we do come, there is little denying natural beauty of Lewisville Regional Park. read more

Nice sprawling park along the river surrounded by huge trees with many, many options for places to picnic including a LOT of picnic shelters in various sizes you can reserve (I'm not sure what the fees are). We saw 3 different weddings set up at some of a larger shelters and it looked really nice all set up for the ceremony along the river or in a grove surrounded by trees. There are several wide-open grassy areas to play soccer, frisbee, etc. and also have a few playground areas and various sports areas including a basketball court and baseball diamond...there may also be tennis and volleyball as I think I saw that on the map but didn't come across them personally while walking around. There were also restroom facilities in a few places. Additionally there are some areas you can swim in the river where it is shallow and the water was very clear when we were there with a lot of kids and families enjoying a swim. For me the trail that goes along the river was slightly disappointing in that while it is along the river it isn't right next to it but mostly on the other side of a forested bank, so you really only see the river in peeks unless you are at one of the swimming areas along the bank. According to the map the trail that goes around the park is 3 miles and it was a mostly flat, dirt path on the river side. We did not hike the other half, so I'm not sure of the difficulty of the terrain on the other side of the park. This is a Clark County Regional Park so there is a $3 per car parking fee for the day. read more

Very fun park! The entrance fee machines are annoying, I prefer & enjoy when they have park attendants to take the fee instead! They are kind and nice to talk to! They have expressed to me their struggles since having these entrance fee machines as well. Once your inside the park however there is an endless amount of fun! Running trails, tennis courts, 5+ parking lots, food gazebos, flowing river, open fields, baseball fields etc. Great place for family gatherings! read more

This is a perfectly okay place to go for a walk. Nothing grand, but you can roll along for about 3 miles in total without re-looping. If you're a hiker there are far more interesting places in Clark County. Still, this is a top notch place for a picnic and other family fun like a softball game, or pitching horseshoes. Being right on the Lewis River is a bonus; better river fun in the summer of course as the river really roars when it's rained. There is a $3 fee to park in the lot, but in the dead of winter you can usually find a place just outside the fee gate. Worth a visit. read more

Our family loves this park. From the playgrounds or playing in the Lewis River to hiking the trails. Lots of things to do for just about everyone. The 3-mile loop is a good little workout with hills and diverse terrain. If you live in this area or just take a trip to the northside of Southwest Washington this is one of the best parks in the area! You can plan birthday parties or family barbecues at one of the many covered shelters. I've lived here my entire life and this park is always beautiful and fun to visit. read more

Went here a few times. There's a lot of places to have parties and bbq. There's also alot of swimming holes. Place is always packed though and water is murky. There's a hiking trail, but no views. If you're looking to hike, I recommend Lacamas/Round Lake trails. read more
