Crunchy large servings of battered fried fish. Chips were fresh and hot. Service was fast

The menu features a variety of options, including classic fish and chips, jumbo fish burgers, shrimp, calamari, and battered oysters. They use locally sourced produce and local fish in their signature crispy batter. I was told this place has the BEST fish and chips on the island. The fish and chips were very very delicious and the batter was light but crispy.

My husband and I were excited to try Kiwi Style Fish and Chips before our Polynesian Cultural Center tour. We ordered the fish and chips, a side of calamari, and three battered shrimp. However, the cashier only charged us for one of the shrimp, I assume he didn't hear me say three. It took fifteen minutes to receive our food, which was disappointing since we thought everything would be freshly prepared. However, once we received our food, we found our fries to be lukewarm. Overall, the food was just okay, with the fish being our favorite part of the meal.

Best Fish and Chips I've ever had. The batter is light and crispy. The fish is soft and flakey. I love it, My kids love it, It's always a win. Sometimes it takes a while to come out, But it always worth the wait! They also h e tables with umbrellas in front of the truck to sit and enjoy.

Really good fish and chips. Juicy, flaky fish. Two large pieces. Good batter. Fries are good. I just wish the fish batter had a little more seasoning. Even the tartar sauce was mild. However, I love spicy food so my taste buds could be the issue.

We were visiting the Polynesian Cultural Center and stopped by this food truck for some lunch before we headed in. The fish was delicious and fresh with a crispy batter and not greasy. Combined with the tartar sauce it was perfect and hit the spot. Food is made to order and worth the few minutes wait! We found seating nearby with a nice breeze and shade.

Nicest people working there. Big portions and perfectly fried fish and chips! They must be using good oil. It doesn't smell old oil at all. Very delicious. Fish and chips a good choice. Kiwi snack pack you get fish, calamari and potato. Fish taco is delicious. With the salad, it is a great balance of fried and fresh. You cannot go wrong with Kiwi Style!

Not bad fish and chips. Uses beer batter. Was kinda greasy. Chips were okay. Not fresh cut.

Following the 15 best Fish & Chips locations on Oahu so decided to take a run up to PCC to checkout Kiwi Style Fish and Chips food truck to if it beats my favorite place. It started off well with three pieces of nicely golden brown beer battered fish and a good portion of chips, unfortunately one of the pieces of fish hadn't been cooked correctly and was still translucent from being undercooked. The service was excellent and friendly with shaded seating areas around the area for eating in comfort, although I did have to swat a large number of flys away while eating. Hopefully my experience with the undercooked fish was just a one off experience, which I will be back to check on soon.

    Fish and chips plate.

Finally found a decent fish and chips meal in Honolulu (well actually Laie). Generous portion of fish, battered well and served with standard fries. Unfortunately, I had to drive back to Kaneohe, so I really didn't a chance to experience the crispy batter fresh on the spot. Next time! Yea I will be back. Great meal for a great price. Warm and friendly staff. Good place to get a good meal.

I am providing a review before Turtle Bay was acquired and the food/service provided then. That being said, this was one of our favorite restaurants. We would take the kids here to enjoy the view and food. The food was very reasonably priced for the location/view and the service was always top notch. People were very friendly and would really accommodate for our children. We really appreciated the quality of the food too - usually when there is a good view there isn't good food but this location had both. We liked how diverse the menu was and that it was always rotating so you got to try new items and dishes. It is one of the few restaurants that has it all going for it - location, quality servers, great food, good price. Since it's been acquired/the menu has been renovated we haven't been back. I believe the price points have all gone up to match the luxury of a Ritz which I get. But we'll see maybe we will go check it out and we can update the review from there.

There is an upstairs seating area that must provide some exceptional views, but it was closed during our visit. Our lunch was easily 5-star. We began with the Spicy Ahi Wontons. Fresh ahi with shallots, scallions, tobiko (Japanese caviar), and cabbage. This App was extremely complex with a hint of spice. Truly wonderful! For our mains we ordered the grilled mahi mahi and fish and chips. My mahi mahi was grilled to a moist perfection, and the brown butter sauce could have overwhelmed the fish, so I went light on the sauce. Their fish n' chips are not your traditional Irish bar offering. The fish was gently battered with panko and fried just right. Their homemade tarter sauce was absolutely delicious. They have a very interesting craft cocktail menu. My Ku'Ula-Kai Mai Tai was on point and perfectly balanced - sweet and sour. Plus 1's Aloalo Fizz reminded her of a Paloma, only made with vodka with a tropical twist. Service was attentive and knowledgeable regarding the menu and ingredients. We really appreciated the chill environment, beautiful view, and the welcoming ocean breeze. Pro tip: After dinner, head downtown to walk off your lunch/dinner and check out all the shops. Dessert? If you enjoy waiting in a long line, then the famous shaved ice shop is located there (IYKYK).

We ordered the Spicy Shrimp and the Shrimp Scampi plates, and neither was impressive. The food came out almost instantly, which proves it is not cooked to order. Because it sits around, the shrimp is incredibly difficult to peel. Anyone who cooks shrimp knows that if you do not peel it right after cooking, the shell sticks to the meat, which was exactly the case here. The Spicy Shrimp had a decent kick, but it lacked actual flavor. The Shrimp Scampi was better but still bland. Honestly, 9 out of 10 shrimp places back home in Southern California make a better plate. To make things worse, the two ladies managing the truck were rude. My wife asked for extra napkins, not realizing some were already in the bag. The worker snapped back, "Are those not enough?" and made her feel super awkward. We also asked for a cup of ice to go with our canned sodas. They flatly refused and told us to ask another truck nearby. Luckily, the other truck owners were much nicer and gave us the ice. Save your time and money. There are much better, friendlier options out there.
