We started with the Fried Pork Dumplings upon suggestion from our waitress Ashely who was knowledgeable and attentive of the menu. These where great it came with two dipping sauces a sesame sauce and a spicy version of that sauce. They where delicious. The garden salad with the ginger dressing was delicious For our main course we had the Tonkatsu Ramen and the Tonkatsu with a side of white rice. The main courses where out prompt even with a constant flow of people picking up take out orders. The Ramen has a sesame based broth but it was flavorful. The Tonkatsu was the shining star. Golden fried and paired with a plum sauce that was perfect for the pork. The bar is nice and the Mai Tai was good and strong. The decor is clean and modern with the Asian theme. read more

I asked if avocado could be added, and they did. For only $4, I was expecting a little salad, but what I got was ver generous! A lovely dressing, carrots, cucumber pieces, baby tomatoes and quality greens. For my late dinner, I ordered the special Spicy Tataki roll. It was spicy, but not overly so. I didn't know the imitation crab fish is consider a fish lol The rolls is not bad but feel like every sushi or roll they use load of imitation crab I m not a big fan of that but some ppl might like it. Significant other and I went there for the first time recently. Our waitress, Angie, was awesome although I wish I could say the same about our food. Ordered pork dumplings - the dough was VERY thick. S.o ordered beef and broccoli with some chicken fingers - the beef was not cooked all the way and the veggies were most likely canned veggies. The meal smelled & tasted like it was 3 weeks old (both of us got nauseous after barely touching our meals). I'm also not sure if the chicken fingers we received was actual chicken, it definitely didn't taste like it. It tasted like a store bought frozen chicken dipped in a fryer. Visiting from California and wanted some sushi. Came in at 8:10pm and was able to place my order by 8:15pm. I wasn't super hungry so I ordered a spider roll and yellow tail sashimi. (Sorry forgot to take pics). Got my iced water quickly. Then I waited, and waited. I noticed the time was 8:55pm I was aware of this because I remember the restaurant closes at 9pm. The sashimi was good. (But how do you mess that up). If it's fresh, cut and serve. The roll was so disappointing, the soft shell crab was over battered to the point it consisted of 2/3 batter. I thought I had a giant claw but it was just mostly a blob of fried batter. That's what I could mostly taste as I chewed each slice of my roll. If the food was really good, I guess it would have been worth the wait. Soooo disappointed!!!! I was out the door by 9:05pm. At least I got my check quickly. What kind of Asian restaurant buys in crappy pre made frozen dumplings and attempts to pass them off as house made for an insane markup? Why Kiyomi that's who! Their spider roll consisting of frozen old crab held onto more water than my dish sponge, and tasted about the same despite their best efforts to conceal it with thick fried batter. Multiple menu items rely on lots of batter to pass as edible. Rice used in the sushi was somehow dry, not sure how they achieved that miracle. Their eel sauce which inhabits many of their sushi options was alarmingly gelatinous and chunky. When asked if it was made in house, which is the only thing that would justify the prices, the waitress ran away and didn't return even to take our money. I don't blame her though, the incompetence of chef microwave was enough to make me run away too. We had to hunt down a staff member in order to pay our bill after about 10 minutes of waiting. Some cute little flies kept great company while I waited though, sure made me feel good about how clean the kitchen is where they prepare the raw meat. read more
