The photo shoot took much more time than expected because our 3 yr. old "Mr. Grumpy Pants" had no nap and was not being cooperative that day. Poor Cheryl, she did everything to get him to smile and pose for the camera (including being repeatedly struck in the head by a stuffed animal). In the end, we were SO thrilled with the photo's she captured of our family. I was especially thrilled that as early as the next day she had a few "teaser" shots sent my way. Cheryl pays close attention to details and lighting and takes time to edit photo's so they look their best. We found her pricing very reasonable, especially given the quality of her photography. The resulted pictures I got back were fuzzy and blurry - even the prints. I don't want to complain to her because it seems like she doesn't even care or respond in a timely manner. We were recommended to shoot with Aika for my son's headshots (he is 2). From the beginning she just seemed not very friendly and like she didn't want to be there. I think my son sensed that my husband and I weren't comfortable and she wasn't super comfortable either. She seemed almost annoyed with us the whole time that we couldn't get him to sit still in the studio with bright lights flashing in his face (again, he's 2). My husband and I did all of the work of trying to get him to laugh, dance, use music etc. Aika not only didn't help with this, she actively got in the way and seemed annoyed the whole time. The photographer we most recently worked with worked with my son rather than against him. She followed him around, caught him doing things he was interested in, and it was a much better overall experience. Maybe she's better with older kids, but I wouldn't recommend her for toddlers.

The family was finally united with my brother just returned from having been deployed to Iraq, and I was about to leave the state for school. Overall, we were pleased with our experience initially with our photographer, the shooting experience and the photos. The 2 stars are for the service I experienced in the present time. Fast forward to 2017, our house has been destroyed in a fire and everything was lost. Naturally, we wanted to get our photos back, and I discover that Pro Image Studios migrated elsewhere. On their web site, I find that they've changed their name to "Creative Imaging." For several weeks, calling the establishment was of little or no avail. I decide to email them which was encouraged on their site. It is acknowledged and appreciated that my correspondent typically replied by the next morning to my emails if not shortly thereafter. My family was strongly interested in buying digital copies of our photos as well as prints since these mattered so much to us. I made a rather large purchase to get a direct download of my digital photos. Their site seemed very disjointed, and sometimes it didn't feel very intuitive to navigate. Every page they sent me looked different from the initial layout. When I purchased a package to directly download, the confirmation page gave no instructions on how to receive my product. I felt I had to bother my correspondent to clarify this, and she said they would be available within a week. Then came several days of confusion and frustration reaching out to this person that the photos were inaccessible. She insisted that there was nothing wrong. I got the impression she was blaming me for the trouble rather than troubleshooting the problem properly. After entertaining her by trying and re-trying, then re-trying again on 2 computers and 5 different browsers for several days, she finally decided to burn the photos onto a CD to be mailed. I believe their photography skills are professional. But their inability to admit fault, to apologize for the inconvenience of not being able to receive my product in a timely manner, or to troubleshoot adequately the problem without placing blame on the customer's end is the reason why I gave two stars. Further, this was the first time sharing with a professional establishment that no one expressed sympathy for having lost our belongings to a house fire. Not that that particularly means anything, but it's just an observation of indifference in stark contrast to other businesses where we've had to re-order something to replace whatever was lost to a fire. My encounter with Pro Image Studios/Creative Imaging was overall a negative experience. We were not impressed with the way it was handled over email, and we chose not to get prints from them. I also found it unprofessional that their site was visually unappealing with numerous typos. At end of these encounters, I did get my photos. I am grateful that my business with them is done.

When I received my picture package I noticed that they spelled my kids last name wrong on the trading cards. She is engaging and thoughtful. Poses look natural (even posed ones) and light. I think she has as much fun behind the camera as the subjects in front of it. She cares about your needs and expresses her ideas and concepts in a non pushy way and seems to truly love her art. She has creative ideas that seem to reflect Anne Geddes and Annie Liebowitz. Robin visited us three times: when I was about 39 weeks pregnant, when my newborn was 3 weeks old, and to show us the results of the two photo shoots. We enjoyed each visit. We all felt at ease with Robin. My wife and I are not usually drawn to photographs of ourselves. Now with two kids (newborn and three year old), we are being very careful financially. We took a personal and financial risk when we hired Robin and we are very happy with the outcome. We will treasure our photos.
