​If you really want to hear about it, I went to this Argentine-Mexican fusion joint, which already sounds like the kind of phony idea some guy in a suit thought up to charge you double for tacos, but the prices were reasonable. But anyway, there I was sitting on the patio next to these fake-looking potted plants, staring at my drink and looking at Metropolitan traffic. ​ My Red Sangria came in this tall glass with a slice of orange stuck on top, looking all fancy, and it had a bunch of chopped-up fruit floating around at the bottom that you couldn't actually reach without making a total mess, but to be fair, it wasn't half bad. It was cold and fruity and kept me from having to talk to anybody for a few minutes. ​Then came the "Tacos Entraña." That's skirt steak, if you're not trying to sound like you're from somewhere, somewhere, where its like common and stuff. They serve three of them on this wooden board because apparently regular plates aren't stable enough for many Mexican restaurants anymore. They were absolutely smothered in this white crema stuff, cilantro, and chopped onions. I'll admit, though, the meat actually tasted pretty damn good. It was thick, properly charred. I go into these new pop-ups expecting the whole food fusion thing to be a total fraud, and then the food actually turns out to be quite excellent and not too expensive. ​We visited Klan Destino on a Monday evening. It's located in a busy commercial area, surrounded by other businesses. Finding a spot can be tough, so give yourself a few extra minutes for parking. ​Once inside, we were greeted immediately and seated right away. Since it was quiet on a Monday, we had our pick of tables. The atmosphere is warm and inviting--dim lighting paired with low Spanish music playing in the background. ​We sampled three different drinks throughout the meal, and all were excellent: ​White Sangria (First Place): Exceptionally refreshing and smooth--the standout drink of the night. ​Frozen Margarita (Second Place): Perfectly blended with a delicious, smooth, slushy consistency. ​Red Sangria (Third Place): Very enjoyable, though slightly outshined by the other two. ​It's worth noting that Klan Destino offers two distinct menus--one Mexican and one Argentinian. We ordered entirely from the Argentinian side, and the kitchen delivered on all fronts. ​ For appetizers we ordered Burrata Klandestina which is a unique spin compared to traditional Italian burrata. It was well-executed, served alongside a fresh salad and flavorful prosciutto. ​ Our main course was Asado Klandestino Pura Vaca - For Two. The highlight of the meal which was packed with an outstanding selection of meats. The portion was huge and we couldn't finish it all. It made for fantastic leftovers at home. ​For dessert, we had the Tiramisu. It was perfectly balanced. Neither the espresso nor the chocolate overwhelmed the dish, making for a light, delicious end to the meal. ​Klan Destino delivers great ambiance, excellent service, and great quality food. I went on New Years Day as I was in the vicinity. Not many places were opened on this holiday so we called in advance and found a spot that was which was KlanDestino. Once I heard that they served Argentinan food, I had to go try it out. Walking inside it was nicely decorated as it was New Year's Day. We were the only customers which we liked so the service was great. There were people doing take out or delivery service. We took note that if you decided to use cash it would cheaper. Good thing we carry cash with us. While looking over the menu, I had to ask what the waiter would recommend and he stated they are known for their Argentinan food. So, I ordered the Milanesa Napolitana which was Argentinan breaded chicken or beef, which was topped with tomato sauce and tomatoes, and mozzarella. It came with a salad or side - I got a side of Yuca Fries. The other entrees that we ordered for the table was the Klandestino Skirt Steak with Churrasco. The chimichurri sauce was banging and yummy. The Argentinan dish was very unique and I would definitely order it again. We were stuffed and couldn't eat another bite. I would come back if Im ever in Middle Village area again. read more

Not a bad spot a bit over priced food like the calamari 20$ for this little plate . Drinks were ok and not enough alcohol . Service was ok as well. But we were rushed out just because they didn't have any customers at all. And was not refilled until asked . But menu did look good and calamari tasted really good. read more

Interesting date night spot for locals, nicely decorated. I enjoyed my beef salad klandestino. Beans and rice was a bit bland, had to spice it up with chimichurri. My bf enjoyed the Milanese Neapolitana it was a huge portion of beef. Service was a little absentminded even though we were the only people in the restaurant. Overall would come back but not get the beans and rice... I think their Argentinian food is better. read more

I went here to celebrate my graduation early last month. My friends were able to decorate the table in my honor and it was beautiful! The food was amazing, many options to pick from if you are pescatarian like me so I appreciated that. The food came out in an orderly fashion, very efficient & the servers were very friendly. They had no problem helping us pronounce the dishes, we may have not been so familiar with & letting us know what the drinks were made of. I got more food but I didn't take a picture, you guys will just have to trust me and go check this place out for yourself! Great for events or even just a night out as they do provide karioke! So I went finally to this restaurant that I have wanted to come in my neighborhood and was so disappointed. It is sad that I went for the first time to have a drink and eat and the guy in charge just said, It's only you so please know that when others come I will have to move you. How rude!!!! He said he would put me in the bar area. Well I can't go up any high chair because I have bad knees. Then the waiter explained when I asked about what food they had , said eat the Argentinian food, and I tried to ask about tacos and he left before I had a chance to ask. Also rude!!! It's a shame that I went in for the first time and my last time. I walked out and am at my neighborhood Colombian place, Rico's Chicken, that always treats me great!!!! So my opinion of this business Klan Destino is they have rude people serving!!!! Don't know about food or drinks because they wanted me out!!! Bad service all around!!!!! This place was a so amazing the service was impeccable the food was out of the world for example I ate the ribeye and I've had Unkle jacks, Peter Lugers and long horn and this place blows them out of the water. This is a family owned business and has only been open for a year and this is one of the best places I've eaten in New York!! i was there for cinco de mayo and it was great the food was very good but this lady and her daughter had their dog in the restaurant on the table. this is uncalled for and should not be allowed. the manager said nothing and my friends told me not to complain. this dog was under other peoples tables. if you have outside tables then that is ok but you do not bring your dog into a restaurant. a child can be afraid of the dog or someone can be allergic. and no it was not a service dog. you need to put a sign up no dogs allowed unless it is a service dog. read more
