A couple of years ago, I hired solutions to clean my which are in the floor. He sold a sanitizating light system, even though the ducts are terra-cotta and won't mold. The light has a lifetime warranty and I have the paperwork that says so. However, now the light has gone out and they refused to send me a new light or send somebody out to replace it. Further, when you try to call them, it comes up an automatic busy signal and no one responds to email. In my opinion, stay away from this company. Called to schedule appt and phone agent asked me questions about my homes size. I had already counted all of my vents & return vents. She noted their $49.99 special (unlimited vents, 2 returns, 1 main, single furnace). I noted things like "I have 8 returns or 3 main lines", and asked if it would that means that it would essentially be like 4x the promotion ($200)? Which would have been very reasonable. She sort of laughed and said it would be less than that, as adding in the returns would be $15 each additional, so more like the $50 special, plus 6 more returns at $15 each ($90), thus ~$140 total. Technician arrived hours after scheduled time (I ended up having to call and was told they were delayed). But once he arrived it felt like a bait and switch... was a total 180 to the service and quote on the phone (This time with my wife at home). Technician said it would be ~$400 to do the basic clan out. Honestly, maybe $400 was fair, but I never even called around or got other quotes because on the phone she was so confident it was going to be under $200 ($140), and that seemed great. But the guy was pushy and rude, and it got to a point where my wife decided he just needed to leave. Probably the most surprising was that after sending out a technician to a job that was planned/quoted, the company never called to find out why we declined services. Which made me think is must be a common practice that they 'bait you in' and then just expect that once they are there and you have adjusted your schedule that you will just let them do it regardless. If Kleen Air solutions reads this; feel free to call me if you are interested in sending out a different technician to do that job as originally quoted. Just like if you have a coupon that says free sandwich but with purchase of fries and a drink, in small print, you have to purchase the fries and drink to get the free sandwich. I asked specifically what the additional charges would be by describing our HVAC system over the phone. Was advised "they come prepared to do the work". No explanation of charges. I scheduled an appointment ("between 8am and 10" ) they'd call when they're on their way. I called back the next day & got the same vagueness without any explanation of additional fees or charges. I called KleenAir Solutions after another company failed to show up the day before. They were able to come out the next day. We used the $69.95 Reach Coupon with the common sense knowledge that there were going to be additional charges. Who really thinks a skilled contractor is coming to their home for 2-4 hours for less than $70? Jeremy was our tech, and I cannot recommend him enough. He arrived on time, was courteous, and was a very hard worker. Our home was probably one of the worst he's had to deal with. 5 dogs with 2 cats over 20+ years, our ducts were filthy. He busted his butt to make sure everything was clean. I watched him send the spider hose down the duct, then he looked inside with a flashlight, didn't like what he saw, and did the duct a second time. He actually had to clean the filters in his machine outside because our ducts were so bad they clogged up the vac. After reading some of the reviews on Yelp, I was honestly worried I had made a mistake. I was prepared for the tech to walk around and give me an estimate, and if I didn't like it, I would send him on his way. We have a Bi-Level home with 9 vents, 3 Main Trucks, 5 Returns, and 1 Air Handler. The estimate was $285. As a contractor myself, I felt like this was a very fair price, and I authorized the work to be done. There was zero pressure to do any of the addons like Deodorizer, Moldicide, or the UV system. He explained them all and we did decide to do the deodorizer treatment, and he gave us 1/2 off for that. At the end of the job, he cleaned up, we paid the agreed upon price and he left. We could not be more happy with KleenAir Solutions and I recommend that you consider asking for Jeremy and waiting an extra few days to get him to work on your home. read more

When the technician come out he explained to me that I had more mains and returns than the coupon allowed. He worked up a new price and the cost skyrocketed to $554.75! Classic bait-and-switch. Exactly the same experience as two other posters, with the sole exception that we refused the extra work, and paid only the coupon price of $49.95. Like a previous poster, our house is about 2000 sq. ft., and is only six years old. Quote was $694.65! When we said no, technician did the used car dealer thing, said he'd try to get a better price, went back to his truck, and came back at $539. On the plus side, the technician worked hard, was at our house more than an hour, and apparently the work he did do was competent. We'll get a contractor with better reviews to look at the additional problems he identified, and fix them if necessary. Ironically, the $539 may turn out to be an OK price, but KleenAir forfeited any chance of doing additional work with the bait-and-switch. We did tip the technician $20. Still, he was visibly angry when he left ... P.S. Looking at websites, it appears there's an unaffiliated national corporation with an extremely similar name. Upcharges galore. Like another review, I had a coupon for $49.95 to clean all vents. After 20 minutes in the house I was told I had up to 6 mains also. With kids running around I told him to go ahead and just clean everything as I was expecting some upcharges. An hour later after the tech left I noticed the final bill of $600! Shocked I went downstairs to my unit to see what had been done. Apparently 5-10 feet of ductwork counted as a main to him for $85 a piece. I was also charged $25 for each hole he cut into my system despite there being access holes close by for another $100+. Not only was the work rushed being in and out in less than two hours, but poor work and also claiming to do work that was not done. He claimed to clean other parts but they were not accessed and there was no way he could hve cleaned them but I was still charged. After waiting nearly one month for an appointment, taking the day off work and having the wrong tech show up one hour later than that 4 hour window .... the tech talked on his phone in the van for nearly a 1/2 hour then told me their equipment was too large to fit through a standard door frame to reach my furnace. This company is very unreliable. I had an appt in March which had to be rescheduled due to snow. Scheduled for today between 1-4 pm. At 3:45 pm, no call or show. Contacted Debbie in the office who was going to check with dispatcher regarding if and when they would show up and call me back. At 4:15pm, no call back from Debbie. Called her again and she informed me that the dispatcher had not returned her calls and I would have to probably reschedule for another time. A day and a half of work missed for nothing!!!!! This company is not reliable or helpful. They are difficult to get a hold of when you need to talk to someone - like when they don't show up for the appointment you scheduled. I had to call them three times to find out where they were and was assured the tech was on his way and was one of their best, yet no one ever came. They have an answering service that hangs up on you. The next day, all they offered to do was reschedule the appointment for weeks later than I needed the work done. No thanks! I will go with a company that shows up or at least calls. read more
