Coupon showing that company miss represented themself's.

I tried to use a coupon for air duct cleaning for 49.99 and get a free dryer vent cleaning. I called and scheduled the appointment giving detail of the dryer vent is out the roof for yesterday and they told me no additional cost since the coupon defined the cost and I went thru all cost multiple times with Debbie o. The phone. So yesterday they came out and the guy (Jeremy) came out to my home and went over everything and he said it's an extra 100 to get on my roof. I told him about conversation with Debbie and he said it's standard. I told him to leave and I will find another company to do my home.

They came to my elderly inlaws house and took advantage of them by causing a mess and then charging them $350 to clean it up.

You might think that seems like a fishy tactic to lure in customers for shoddy work. Definitely not the case here! Scheduling the appointment was a breeze and the technician let me know when he was on the way. My issue was a dead circuit board in my 20 year old garage door opener. The tech went over the replacement options along with clear and upfront pricing. Once I decided, he was able to do the install right away! While he was there he went ahead and gave my other garage a tune-up as well. Both doors are quieter and smoother than they have ever been. It's actually kind of amazing how much better they are now. I highly recommend them for anything to do with your garage doors. Thanks!

Lonnie took my call, answered all my questions, and quoted me a fair price based on what other such installations have cost. A month later I called them and scheduled the installation. (Needed to get some electrical work done first.) When Adam arrived he did some quick measurements based on how the garage doors opened and informed me that the track for the belt drive openers wouldn't fit since I had such a low ceiling. He took photos and discussed it with Nick, the Service Manager. After some serious discussions a solution was found and thanks to the exceptional team of Adam, Nick, and Lonnie I now have excellent garage door openers and an answer why previous owners never installed them. Great problem solvers!

I got a quote from them in 2019. My granddaughter was diagnosed with cancer shortly after this,…read morethen Covid hit so insulation priorities weren't so important. I finally requested a new quote this spring. The exact same job I was quoted in 2019 was almost 3X higher! That's 3X in six years! Original quote was $1800 in Feb 2019, new quote was $5300 for the exact same thing. So I did some research to see if I was over reacting. I reached out to ChatGPT to see if labor and material costs had increased enough to justify the new price. It said no way! No, the $5,300 quote is not fair. If: The scope hasn't changed The spray foam type and thickness are the same They never came out to remeasure The original 2019 quote was $1,800 Then jumping to $5,300 (an almost 300% increase of the original cost) is well beyond reasonable, even accounting for: 45% material increases 20-30% labor cost hikes Higher fuel and insurance costs What Would Be Fair? Using the 2019 price as a base: Factor Estimate Increase Adjusted Price Materials (open-cell) ~45% ~$2,610 Labor/overhead/fuel/etc. ~30% ~$3,400 max A reasonable 2025 price: $2,800-$3,400 Not $5,300. So I checked Gemini and Grok AI engines to make sure I covered all bases. They confirmed that the the price increase was unjustified. Grok said: The nearly 300% increase exceeds general inflation (~20-30% from 2019-2025) and construction cost trends (~40-50% per Turner Building Cost Index). Insulation-specific increases (50-100%) suggest a $1,800 job in 2019 should cost $2,700-$3,600 in 2025. Gemini said: a near 300% increase (from $1,800 to $5,300) in 6 years is at the very high end of what might be considered justifiable given the market conditions. Increases of 50-100% (or even up to 150%) for some materials and services over that period have been seen, but 300% is extreme. Given the ridiculous price increase, I would be very leery of using them based on their pricing model. As all 3 AI engines suggested, Get Multiple Quotes: Contact 2-3 local contractors for competitive bids.

Synopsis - Mooney and Moses (Overhead Door) charged to install 13" of blown in fiberglass…read moreinsulation. M&M only installed 8" (40% less) but still charged for 13". M&M will not return phone calls and the salesperson was combative when challenged on their cheat. AVOID AT ALL COSTS Full in-depth issue below: Contacted Mooney and Moses (subsidary of Overhead Door) to quote installation of additional insulation to bring us to an R49 or R60. House was built in 1996 and has 12.5" of insulation for an existing R30 ( I found the paperwork stapled into the attic after I inspected M&M insulation install) M&M sent a salesperson to quote the install in August. She quoted some odd things, such as PSK paper having an R10 value, so we spent a few weeks going back and forth trying to get a cut sheet from the salesperson Kimberly Quinn. We finally got a contact to verify the PSK R value in early September - by this time I had to travel out of town and we tried to reconnect with Kim in the end of September. Weeks go by and I finally call M&M and the original salesperson had quit. M&M wanted to send out another person to requote the install. We agreed and in the middle of October their Salesperson John Smith came out to quote the job. We explained to him our concerns. He figured the area to be ~1,000 and then he sent us a quote the next day. (John nor Kim never did inspect the attic which in hind sight was very odd) I paid Mooney and Moses $100 down on an $760 installation for 13" of blown in fiberglass insulation plus $100 to extend baffles in attic. I was told I'd be contacted to schedule the install. I finally called over a week later and the less than friendly scheduler says they'll be there Thursday in the morning. I tell her no, I work and I need a Friday afternoon. She's says they are busy but schedules me for November 5th and says they will call on Thursday the 4th to confirm. November 4th comes around and no phone call. I call to verify and it's obvious they didn't have me on the schedule. They take my number and call me back later, saying they will be there in the morning on the next day. I tell them no, I need afternoon, and they finally come back to the phone and tell me they will be there between 12 noon and 5 pm. I ask if they will call before arrival and she says no. FIVE HOUR INSTALLATION WINDOW WITH OUT A PHONE CALL? Anyway not always trusting contractors I made sure I photographed the attic prior to the install. Installers come on November 5th and are nice and courteous. They never did call but did arrive at 1pm. A week goes by and I got curious and decided to inspect the attic and low and behold they have only blown in ~6-8" of insulation BUT I was still charged for 13" of insulation. I call M&M to see how we will remedy this. Billing tells me I need to call the salesman. I call John Smith and he is immediately combative, telling me they have been in business for X amount of years and how did I know they didn't blow in 13". I told him I took photos and he immediately changed his tone and asked me to email him the photos, although I did not have a warm and fuzzy from out exchange. I didn't receive a follow up so I contacted M&M again. I left messages for two days for the OPs manager. And then when I would call I was told their OPs manager Beverly Fitzsimmons had just left for lunch, she'll call you right back. Then when I didn't get a return call, I was told 'oh she just left' when I called again. I finally got ahold of a woman who claimed to be a general manager. She said they were busy and wouldn't have time to come out and verify what they actually installed. She was less than friendly and wanted to know how much money I wanted back. I told her I wanted to pay for what I received, nothing more, nothing less. I told her I think they blew in between 6 and 10" and that would mean I overpaid by ~$200. She said she would adjust my account. Essentially they didn't care that they overcharged, they just wanted me to go away. What about the person who didn't document or double check their install? How many other people have been overcharged? Now 3 days later I have seen nothing on my AMEX and have heard nothing from Beverly Fitzsimmons or John Smith. I have since filed a dispute with AMEX and contacted the Better Business bureau. John Mattarese with WCPO is next. In conclusion a shady company who cares only about swindling as many people as they can - AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

That…read morebeing said, I never expected to be saying this about a "garage door service/system" company. Last night, our garage door system came off the tracks and the entire door was literally half-hanging on the tracks. We were able to find 2 of the wheels/pins to somewhat secure the door enough to get the vehicle in the driveway. After that, our family said a prayer that everything would stay in place long enough for a technician to come out (thinking that it would be 24-48 hours before someone would be out. This morning, we contacted Advanced Door Systems (as they originally installed our Garage Door System). Mrs. Jenny answered the phone and patiently allowed me to ramble as I tried to describe the issue. When I was done trying to explain, she did a basic troubleshoot based on my description. Then after getting our address, checking where the technician was currently located and looking at the shop's schedule, was able to get a technician out here in just over an hour from when I placed the call. Mr. Abner came out and he sure knew his stuff! He even knew who installed the door, several years ago by the handwriting on the original paperwork (which we had in the garage). Apparently it was Mr. Billy (the business owner along with Mrs. Jenny). Abner figured out that one of my old (and solid) round point shovels, which we had against a wall (near the track), must've been jostled enough that it clipped the door while closing, last night. That knocked things loose, popped 2 of the pins, bent the opposite track and the weight of the door was shifted to the bent track. End result... Garage Door was completely fixed and is even quieter than it was before the damage. We love that Abner fixed the issue instead of trying to sell us on something needing replaced. The cost was much less than what we expected to pay. Abner mentioned that he has worked with Billy and Jenny for 40 years and it shows that they form a More Than Amazing Team! We are glad that our neighbor gave us Advanced Door System's business card when we moved in several years ago. This is our second interaction with Advanced Door Systems, through the years and both were extremely pleasant. The staff is Friendly, Knowledgeable, Thorough and Honest! Their pricing is more than fair and this was an emergency situation where a business could have really taken advantage of us. Although we hope to to never need the business' help in the future, we hope that we can recommend other potential customers to their business. Advanced Door Systems in West Chester, OH is not only in the business of garage door systems but also in simply Putting Good back out into this World! We are very grateful and blessed to have worked with Jenny, Billy and of course today's experience with Abner!
