It needs just a few small fixes: stitching a tear on the pocket, changing the lining of both pockets, and replacing the zipper slider. (Just the metal part.) How hard can this be? Owner said it would be ready in 1 week. I call 10 days later and she says she's still waiting for the zipper. She is going to get it from another manufacturer. On the 14th day, I called again. Answer: zipper is not here. Everything else is ready. Today--2.5 weeks after dropping it off--I call again. Nada. Still waiting. I popped by around 3pm and ask to see my jacket. She didn't want to bring it. Why? Because she HAD NOT DONE A THING! She promises it will be ready tomorrow. I call at 7 and tell her i need to pick it up. She argues on the phone and tells me not to. Good idea! When I come she had already started. What a lousy job. Really. I need to undo what she's done before i can take it to another tailor.

The Manhattan shops I've purchased dress clothes and dress casual from always know how to make the shopping experience a day that stands out in the buyers mind. Waiting on your every need, tirelessly opening boxes if shoes, pulling wardrobe from all ends of the store, etc.. A nice Italian blazer may set you back $700. but you get what you pay for. I reached out to several shops through Yelp's quote request blast system, including leather workers, dry cleaners, and tailors. These guys were the quickest to respond, quoting me a flat fee of $30 (paid upfront) with a 1-day turnaround. They even offered pickup and delivery, which made the whole process super convenient. The job was done the next day, complete with photos of the alteration. Their pricing was very competitive, especially considering other shops either weren't willing to take the job, quoted 2 week turn arounds. Definitely the most reasonable pricing. Best of all, they saved the rivets! The belt looks fantastic and fits perfectly now. Fast, professional, and friendly service--I highly recommend them.

After taking her time my item was finished on July 20th versus the promised date of a month after the material being dropped off. Prior to going to bed I realized my leg had minor scratches on it - after deliberating, I realized it was caused by my outfit I picked up earlier. I scanned the shorts of the outfit and realized she didnt sew it properly (it had different color threads and some of the sequins was exposed) Please see video and/or pictures. I had to take the dress back to her to be fixed. My second outfit, I brought in a replica to have it duplicated and she created something slightly different - it wasnt a huge difference but it didnt mirror what I brought in. I was okay with the work because it fit great. The kicker is that I asked her for the original piece and she advised she misplaced it. MISPLACED my outfit. My third outfit was to be a jeweled collared item as seen in the picture and the video. When I brought the material she said it was too heavy and she directed me to buy a lighter material. After bringing her the lighter material she advised that she had directed me incorrectly because she assumed that my event was on an island. So needless, I waisted money on material and my time going to the city. 2 days before my party, I called her advising her I am on my way. I get to her location and I have to wait another hour. After she called me to come get my supposedly finished dress. I come in and the jewels are not secured. In the video I took she asked if I wanted it sewn down - IN FRUSTRATION I walked out the store because I WAS ABSOLUTELY IRATE that 2 days before my party she would present a poor job to me and ask me if I wanted the jewels sewn down. If I started dancing the jewels would have lifted from the dress. As a result, I had to go searching for a NEW ALREADY MADE dress the day before my 50th birthday. I admit I shouldve communicated my frustration but I chose to walk out because if I wouldve displayed how I truly felt - the authorites would have been involved. Then 2 months later she sends me a text saying to zelle her the balance of $150. Jina what about my wasted trip to the city. I live in Queens which is an hour commute each way. Jina what about my wasted money for gas, tolls and material that went down the drain. Jina what about my trips to your shop for fittings and having to come back to finish the leg of my shorts that wasnt done properly.
