    Wiener Schnitzel with potatoes
    Jonathan C.

Where to start. This place is nestled away in the Swiss Garden which was across the street from our Hyatt Andaz Hotel. Now this was my first time in Vienna and I was only here for a couple of days but I wasn't gonna pass up the opportunity to try their food. Now this place had a touristy vibe but the food was on point I went for a classic and ordered the Wiener Schnitzel...I mean if you come to Vienna and don't try it did you even come?! Man I know this plate looks "plain" but I'm not gonna lie...it was amazing. The veal was absolutely delicious and so tender...and the potatoes were equally as delicious...I could've had a plate of these potatoes alone and I would've been happy. I mean this region of the world KNOWS how to make potatoes...they've had centuries to perfect it. The other dish wasn't mine (my daughter ordered it) but I believe it was beef and garlic...and ooof...I mean c'mon it's garlic!! So of course it's gonna be good! Service was attentive and very nice even though we absolutely butchered the German language in our attempts lol they put us out of our misery and answered us in English Also this place was the only place open on a Saturday around lunch time near our hotel so that was a plus! Highly recommend if you're ever in Vienna...five stars, easily!

We had a great time here. We actually went back for drinks a few nights later. Greeted by the host, Christoph. Very nice, friendly guy. The food was excellent. Great beer and wine selection. The service was really good. Highly recommend.

We were staying at the Andaz nearby and this is a short walk away! Plus it was recommended by the front desk. FOOD King Prawns (4 stars): Cooked perfectly! And the pineapple salad with it has so much flavor. I recommend getting this if you love shrimp! Chicken Cordon Bleu (3.5 stars): Moist chicken. The potatoes with it didn't have much flavor. Chocolate Soufflé (3.5 stars): Rich chocolate flavor with a liquid center. Vanilla ice cream wasn't the best but the soufflé was good. Service (5 stars) Service was great! ATMOSPHERE Big restaurant. We sat inside since it was raining but the outside was cute also. Came on a Thursday and had no wait, but there were still a lot of people there. If it's the weekend I'd probably make a reservation!

I'm staying at the Andaz Hyatt up the road and found this restaurant on Yelp. What a find! This was a short 5 min walk into the nearby park. When the weather is nice, they have ample outside seating. The restaurant was totally full inside so we were sat on a covered patio that was still a bit too chilly for us. The host found a place for us to sit inside when one was available and it was cozy and a nice authentic vibe. I ordered a seasonal cream of mushroom soup and the salmon filet. My friend ordered the seasonal tri tips in cream mushroom sauce with potato pancakes. Thank goodness the soup didn't come because the entrees were HUGGGGEEEEEE. The salmon came with a big side salad and a baked potato. The food was legit and a good price the potato cake was the best tasting thing out of them all with the salmon next up. The salmon was a bit charred on the skin so if you caught a flake of that in your bite, it added the char flavor. All in all, great gem of a location if you are by the Belvedere Palace!

Excellent choice for a traveler looking for a local option. Oliver was our server and spoke great English. We had the chicken cordon bleu and the onion steak. Both were prepared perfectly and service was fast. I'm writing this review so U will find this restaurant again. ***** Stars.

The food was fantastic, some of the best Austrian food I've ever had. A little pricey, but overall worth it.

Found this cozy spot a few blocks off the Stadtpark and figured I'd give it a shot. So glad I did. it was pretty packed when we got ther, we were able to get a high top table after just a few minutes wait. Ordered the beef tartare and schnitzel. Be forewarned, they don't skimp on the portions here. The tartare was delicious and came with a salad and about a half of stick of butter, which was interesting. Schnitzel was big enough to feed at least two people and left me feeling like I had finally experienced a real local meal. Wine was also great and made me wish I could have stayed there drinking it all night. But alas, I had an early flight to catch the next day...

Quite tight seating. Restrooms are not accessible by people with limited mobility. No baby changing stations. The food is okay. The schnitzel was fine and so was lamb. Okay to eat but not memorable. Caprese salad was tasty. In conclusion, if you are passing by and hungry, feel free to stop by. If you are looking for a memorable lunch/dinner experience, plan to visit a different establishment.

Menus and bread serving arrived. $4.80 per person. Oh well. We decided to share and we selected the white asparagus with a tomato and egg relish with a vinaigrette and an Order of Wiener Schnitzel with potato salad and lingonberries. Our food arrived very quick. Both dishes quite good. Not the best we have experienced in Vienna and not the worst. - Wiener Schnitzel: best one of the week. It was thin as it should be and not greasy at all. Wish it had been cooked with a little seasoning. Salt and fresh lemon solved that problem. 4/5 - Potato Salad: excellent. Almost addictive. Loved the fresh mache and pumpkin seed oil on it. 5/5 - Cranberry Sauce: or as I call it lingonberry sauce. Average. Tasted like out of a jar. But good. 4/5 - White Asparagus: served with a tomato herb vinaigrette with chopped egg. Wish the asparagus had been served warm then topped with the vinaigrette. Would made the dish pop. Very good. 4/5 - Atmosphere: Outside was glorious. Area was spacious. 5/5 - Service: waiter was abrupt and would disappear for lengthy times. Must have been really busy inside. 3/5 - Value: somewhat overpriced. Think the mandatory $4.80 bread service per person put it over the top. I expected outstanding bread and got a very small serving of bread and a pad of butter with a couple of tablespoons of a herb mixture.
