    Dah sandwich and bier

I was starving at Vienna airport after late night watching the Champions Soccer or futball in Vienna. Leberkas -Pepi had a serving cart in terminal F. I ordered my usual sandwich neat with cheese, mustard, pickle and a Czech Budweiser. Roll nice , fresh , perfect roll, mustard pickle perfect, meat hit and perfect as was my last visit. Meat is a high grade of spam meat like tasting in USA.... Very tasty and by seeing people waiting in line ; obviously a known Austrian treat. Price very fair, sandwich very good with the beer. I hope wasn't the horse neat version they sell at their deli , but. Horse, camel, spam or ham fine to satisfy my traveling hunger .

Stumbled upon this place and it looked pretty cool and local to Austria so I wanted to give it a try. This processed meat is not my cup of tea, but I wanted to try something unique to Austria. This shop is cash only and the line moves fairly quickly. It is a grab and go spot. Only sandwiches are available, so don't expect to get a side of fries, chips or anything of the sort. There is also no lettuce or tomatoes. It's seriously just processed meat slabbed on a bun with mustard and/or ketchup. I ordered turkey because I don't eat pork. I was going to cancel my order when I saw that the lady working was using the same knife for everything. Ugh!!! I prayed a little extra over my food. It was a good experience, but I won't be going back.

If you are looking for a good and cheap place for lunch or late night grab, this is the place. It is like a Spam sandwich, great sandwich. Service is good and they sell beer, double bonus!

Leberkas-Pepi is a great addition to the Vienna culinary scene. This well-known Linzer establishment has settled in nicely only a few steps from the Ringstrasse. The Leberkäse is top-notch. If you are visiting Vienna and are new to Leberkäse, you will discover a great new snack food or light lunch. Just order the classic with a Semmel (Kaiser Roll) and scharfer Senf (spicy mustard) and you're on your way. Add a side of Sauerzeug (pickles, peppers & pearl onions) and you have one of the best value meals in Vienna. All this will only cost you a few Euros. Leberkas-Pepi has a slogan. "Jeder Biss der Beste vor dem Nachsten" - "Every bite is the best one before the next one." With Leberkäse as good as this, you'll want to savor every bite!

Kas-Leberkas - It was late, I was hungry and it was so delicious I forgot to take the photo until I was midway through

Best: go there and have a try - you'll probably fall in love with this kind of "meatloaf" in a roll.

This place was packed…read morewhen we arrived, as expected since it is one of the most well-known schnitzel spots in Vienna. I was worried this place was over-hyped and more of a place you have to "check off the list" than somewhere you want to eat because of the food. If you have any doubts like I did, forget about them because this was actually the best schnitzel we had on our trip! Their potato salad and tomato salads, also amazing! I love that they had option for their schnitzel - the chicken and original were our favorites! Definitely check this spot out when in Vienna - you won't be disappointed!

I had a reservation at 11:30am and there was already an insane line just to get in. Then once they opened the doors other groups of people completely ignore the line outside and just start rushing in. They're in absolutely no rush to seat you so don't have any hope that they'll let you in early. Once you're seated the service is pretty fast. The schnitzel is quite large and good for sharing. I had the original schnitzel with pork. It was thin and crispy but under seasoned in my opinion. The potato salad was the star for me I could have had one all to myself. It was creamy, a little sweet, and tangy. I also tried the soup with clear beef broth and sliced pancakes. Nothing memorable but a nice clean soup if you're in the mood.

Menus and bread serving arrived. $4.80 per person. Oh well. We decided to share and we selected the white asparagus with a tomato and egg relish with a vinaigrette and an Order of Wiener Schnitzel with potato salad and lingonberries. Our food arrived very quick. Both dishes quite good. Not the best we have experienced in Vienna and not the worst. - Wiener Schnitzel: best one of the week. It was thin as it should be and not greasy at all. Wish it had been cooked with a little seasoning. Salt and fresh lemon solved that problem. 4/5 - Potato Salad: excellent. Almost addictive. Loved the fresh mache and pumpkin seed oil on it. 5/5 - Cranberry Sauce: or as I call it lingonberry sauce. Average. Tasted like out of a jar. But good. 4/5 - White Asparagus: served with a tomato herb vinaigrette with chopped egg. Wish the asparagus had been served warm then topped with the vinaigrette. Would made the dish pop. Very good. 4/5 - Atmosphere: Outside was glorious. Area was spacious. 5/5 - Service: waiter was abrupt and would disappear for lengthy times. Must have been really busy inside. 3/5 - Value: somewhat overpriced. Think the mandatory $4.80 bread service per person put it over the top. I expected outstanding bread and got a very small serving of bread and a pad of butter with a couple of tablespoons of a herb mixture.
