A quaint little coffee shop with an array of baked goods, coffees and lattes....Knead Doughnuts is a solid choice....

Waking in the donuts looked pretty good, definitely a novelty shop with the way the donuts looked. Ordered two donuts, a vanilla glaze and brown butter pecan.donut were good in size. Took it to go. Once I stepped outside I took a bite. I was disappointed. It was pretty dense and didn't taste fresh, kinda stale if I'm being honest. Didn't taste like a donut made that morning. Two donuts for a little over 10 bucks, wasn't worth it. I wouldn't be mad if they were pillowy soft. They look nice though, ig worthy just falls short on taste.

Knead doughnuts has always been my favorite donut in RI and I recently tried this newer location. This location has street parking, plenty of seating inside and outside, and the same delicious donuts you will find at all their locations. I also tried their breakfast sandwich and that was tasty too.

KNEAD Doughnuts has 5 store locations - 3 in Providence, 1 in East Greenwich, and 1 in Westerly - and there are numerous coffee shops and bakeries that sell KNEAD Doughnuts. Their menu ranges from classics to innovative flavor combinations and changes seasonally. On a Saturday morning, I went to the 900 Smith St location for the first time. It wasn't crowded and I was welcomed in. There were 2 staff members behind the counter. All the baked goods were displayed and labelled. Besides doughnuts, there are cinnamon buns, danishes, croissants, muffins, and scones. There are a few tables inside and outside. We ordered 1/2 dozen doughnuts: Chocolate Chip Old Fashioned ($4.75); Jelly ($4.65); PB&J ($4.90); Maple Bacon ($5.00); Vegan Cranberry Corn Crumble ($4.00); and Vegan German Chocolate ($3.75). Old Fashioned Chocolate Chip was made with mini chocolate chips and finished with white chocolate dip. The jelly donut is a hand rolled brioche filled with raspberry jam and tossed in granulated sugar. The PB&J donut is only available on Saturdays and Sundays and is filled with raspberry jam like the jelly donut, but coated in a chunky peanut butter glaze. The Maple Bacon was a special for 11/9 only. The vegan Cranberry Corn Crumble is only available on Fridays to Sundays and was a hand rolled brioche with a cranberry glaze loaded with fresh cranberry puree finished with a rosemary corn crumble. The Vegan German Chocolate is coated in coconut glaze and finished with toasted coconut and pecans. Our friend who is vegan really enjoyed the vegan Cranberry Corn Crumble. My favorite was the Old Fashioned Chocolate Chip and the jelly doughnut. All doughnuts were soft and flaky. My friends and I cut the doughnuts into pieces and shared them. All the baked goods at KNEAD Doughnuts are made from scratch daily, using butter, local milk, local eggs, fresh yeast, and real vanilla bean. Also, don't forget to sign up for KNEAD Doughnuts reward program. You can earn 1 point for every $1 spent and unlock $5 off every 50 points. Just by signing up, you get 25 points. I really enjoy KNEAD Doughnuts and especially am thankful that it is not as sweet compared to other donuts.

We love Knead Doughnuts and were surprised to see how large this location was. For today's visit we ordered a half dozen doughnuts, a hot chocolate, an iced chai, and tried their new breakfast sandwich, which was especially delicious. The staff is friendly (as always) and parking was easy to find.

The donuts are huge. A little too big and too sweet for my tastes, it's almost like you're getting a cake. Coffee was decent

The only downside is that they're too good so sometimes there is a long wait time, but I can't fault them for being successful! When we walked in, the was no longer a line and there was a reason. You need to come here early. I mean before 11am early. They will sell out. When we walked in, there were only a few donuts left, 1 row of crullers, 1 row of GF crullers and half a row of churro crullers. My husband hates crullers, but they're my favorite donut, so I thought I was the only one who was going to get one. I may have said this out loud and I think one of the people working felt bad for us, so she produced a box of gorgeous donuts and let us know that someone hadn't picked up their order and we could choose from this box if we liked. There were a few my husband would like, so we bought 4 of them. Holy moly! These donuts are fan-freaking-tastic!!! They were a little too big for me and kind of greasy to be perfectly honest, but they were also so soft and fluffy, with a crisp exterior. The flavors were bold and delicious and they were even good the next day when I ate my second one.

The Cheese Pancake was $6.95 and the coconut mochi donut was $4.50. The Cheese Pancake was hot and a good size. It was stuffed with mozzarella cheese and it was cheesy. The coconut mochi donut was very good as well. So far, all their mochi donuts have been fresh and very yummy.

It took a while to receive our donuts, but there was a very good reason for that! The donuts were freshly made -- I almost burned by skin/mouth by touching/eating it. This was the best mochi donut experience I've ever had, and perhaps one of my best donut experiences ever. The donut was so hot and fresh -- crisp on the outside, but incredibly hot and chewy on the inside, with a delicious warm matcha ganache topping. We gobbled it down as fast as we could without burning our mouths. I will be thinking about this mochi donut experience for a while. I'm not sure if they usually make donuts to order, but if they do, this is absolutely worth a visit. I know they have a location in Boston, and if they also make their donuts to order, I will be wholeheartedly dedicated to them in the future. My brother confirmed that the donuts taste good when cooled down as well. These donuts were a bit more expensive than I'm used to for mochi donuts, but if they're fresh, it's absolutely worth it.

The first time I came, it was a rainy weekday and this time it was a sunny weekend, so I was expecting an even larger crowd; and my prediction was correct. The line was just out the door but because of their awesome staff, the line was moving very quickly. While we waited in line, we could watch them making pastries through the glass, a couple feet in front of us. I admired that level of transparency. When we were third in line, the kindest lady asked us whether we'd be eating in or taking out and she took down our name to help us find a table when it came time. She did the same for the rest of the people in line. She also gave us some recommendations, including the cinnamon bun - apparently they're so good kids cry when they sell out. I didn't intend to order anything with my drink, but I couldn't get the cinnamon bun out of my head so I ordered it along with my iced spiced chai latte. The hen (I think it's their logo) on the aprons of the employees are super cute. We did secure a table. The tables are close together to maximize the number of people who can sit down but I didn't mind. I love their art all around, mostly of birds which I am obsessed with. I love that they have a lot of natural lighting coming through their tall windows. I also like the navy blue and white theme they have going on. The chai latte was perfect. It was the right color (a dark tan), meaning the ratio of tea and milk was good and I could taste a lot of the spices. The cinnamon bun blew my expectations away. The second my teeth made. contact with the icing, it was a magical feeling. I couldn't quite put my finger on what it tasted like, but the closest I got was dulce de leche. It is truly unlike any other cinnamon bun I have ever had. The dough is soft and there is a good amount of cinnamon. It's also $4 which is not bad. I had a bite of their canelé, which apparently requires a lot of work to make. It was very moist, with a great caramelized finish. I am super excited to try their new weekend dinner menu, but also more of their all day menu items.

It feels like her place in the best way -- warm, proud, hands-on. Pastries are legit. Super buttery, flaky enough to make a mess, clearly baked that morning. No sad, sitting-around-all-day vibes. Ordered the breakfast sandwich and that tomato jam needs to be illegal. Sweet, savory, slightly tangy -- it completely makes the sandwich. I kept trying to figure out how to recreate it at home. Not happening. Crispy chicken sandwich was properly seasoned and not dried out (why is that so hard for some places?). Fries were solid too -- crispy, not limp. And the kale salad with roasted chickpeas and chicken made me feel like I had my life together. Fresh, simple, and actually satisfying. It's one of those places you stumble into while traveling and then immediately start googling whether you can justify going back the next day.
