I tried the Boston cream donut, delicious, as was the thick, very chocolatey frosting. Our first order that included the pineapple/coconut donut had great flavor, the second time though, it lacked a bit. The donut was still fresh and delicious. Strawberry crunch is another great flavor, especially the creamy strawberry center. Maple was good, too. We usually have them delivered but there have been no issues with service. Since we did get delivery, a great detail were donut holes between each donut, stopping things sliding inside and getting squished. Such a clever little extra taste. read more

Still the best fritter I've ever had! I was last here 4 years ago and I have yet to have a fritter this good. It's still only $3.09. The exterior is amazing, crunchy and the taste is excellent with a perfect glaze. A few places (Knead) sell "fritters" but they're just brioche donuts that look like a fritter on the outside. Fritters have to be thin and not formed before frying. I also got a hazelnut filled donut ($2.39) which had that nostalgic donut taste. It had a nice airy dough, but unfortunately they really slacked on that hazelnut filling. But the 2 bites with the filling were unbelievable. And thanks for the 3 free donut holes. You MUST order the apple fritter when you come. Do not leave without it. It turned me on to fritters and not many places can compare. The donut holes are surprisingly delish. All the donuts are great- they are like elevated Dunkin Donuts without the overkill of the fancier donut shops where they look much busier and pretty, but are sickening after one bite. Yummm. I love this place! Everything you could want in a quick grab and go breakfast/coffee/donut shop. They obviously have delicious fresh made donuts, breakfast sandwiches, coffee; you know all the breakfast basics. The prices are extremely affordable, esp for the quality. Probably one of the only places that hasn't raised the prices too high after covid! I bought a half dozen of specialty donuts (honey glazed, fruity pebble, maple bacon, orange glazed, strawberry cream cheese and pb&j), it cost me $15 and they added little munchkins in it too. The donuts are made fresh daily, morning is the best time to go. The service is quick and friendly. I think its because they're so light and fluffy, and the ones with filling are filled on the spot. I also have a soft spot for this business because their such a hard working couple that devotes their life to this shop. They're also Cambodian owned, which as a Cambodian American it's heart warming to find an extension of love and relatable stories from them right here in my home state. Stopped by here for the first time a year back for RI Food Fights and have just kept coming back. While they specialize in custom flavors, the fluffiness of their donuts truly shine in their classic glazed donut. But she did say they had donuts in the back and showed me which ones I could order. I went ahead and ordered what was on the tray, specifically an orange glaze donut (very good) and some glazed donut holes (meh, just ok and not bursting with flavor). The sausage and egg croissant was pretty good; it hit the spot but was about equivalent to what I could have bought at many places - or in other words not particularly special. I love the fact that Rhode Island is the Doughnut capital of New England! Driving to Boston, I need to stretch my legs and have something to eat. I set a course to Glaze'n Daze Donuts. Located in a small strip mall, there are about 15 parking spots. Walking inside about 10:30am, there are a good amount of doughnut flavors. The shop itself is cute, there is a window shelf type table to enjoy a cuppa coffee and a doughnut. The doughnuts have a look, they're very pale is a good description. Maybe lightly fried? One of the doughtnuts caught my eye, the Creme Brulee doughnut. It had a brulee top and was told it could be stuffed with Boston Cream or various Jellies? That sounds amazing but there is an apple fritter that is calling me. The choices are so good, my son ordered two doughnuts! We open the box and take a bite. Wow. That apple fritter was ah-mazing! Kinda crunchy but packed with flavor, this freshly made apple fritter was made with some oven lovin'. Perfecto. Glaze'n Daze Donuts was worth getting off the highway and making the stop. These donuts are different than any other donut you're going to get in Rhode Island. Why? 1) They're mostly yeast-based and 2) some flavors are a gourmet while others are simple (like a cinnamon twist, plain glaze, or chocolate frosted). A third difference is the density of these lil doughs. They are incredibly light and airy and fresh. If you enjoy a simple Krispy Kreme donut from time to time, you may understand the lightness and airiness I'm talking about. Except of course these are not commercially-made donuts, so they are much better than a Krispy Kreme. Not that I have anything against a Kreme Kreme ;) They run out of donuts fast so be sure to get there early. But no matter what you get, you're going to love it because across all donuts, the light and airy consistency is present. Their Buttercrunch is one of the bests in my opinion, with the Boston cream trailing closely behind because that baby is FILLED with creamy goodness. These donuts are some of the largest, lightest, fluffiest, pillow-y morsels I have had in some time. Oh Glaze'n Daze, how I wanted to love you, but couldn't. The donuts we tried were ok - not really worth hunting down, which we did in order to use our RI Food Fight donut challenge coupon. My blueberry donut had a decent crumb. The frosting however was not to my taste; it was overly sweet and had a thick, gummy texture. I tried to peel it off, and actual could peel it, almost like using a cheese slicer on semi-soft cheese where it kind of folds and sticks to itself. Not what I want in a donut! My second donut was a glazed, with vanilla sprinkle frosting. Also too sweet, and otherwise not really memorable, sadly. I also had a coconut cold brew. Sounds good, right? It too was ok, but sweeter than it needed to be (theme of the day). I visited Glaze 'n Daze Donuts today with my daughter. It's a small place but their donuts are kick ass. My favorite that I purchased today was Crème Brûlée- which had a seared sugar glaze just like crème Brûlée and it was filled with a luscious vanilla pastry cream. So Good!!! I also liked the Boston Cream (also stuffed with vanilla pastry cream), a raised donut with pineapple that was good, a very tasty raspberry filled jelly donut too. Today there were about 12 different flavors and all looked excellent.
