I'm not a fan of Kneader's breads. They're too chewy, lack texture, often lack authenticity and even flavor. Their rye bread made me laugh today..too much moisture, dull flavor, just wrong on every level. Their soups are decent. Their cream soups are too watery. I do enjoy their Chicken Coconut Curry soup, but very few of their soups match it in flavor. Their Fully Loaded Potato soup isn't bad, but it's weak..it needs more bacon, more cheese. Pastries are hit and miss. Their Chocolate Mousse Dome is rich and tasty. But most are forgettable. Their sandwiches are the same, average and forgettable..and overpriced to boot. I do enjoy their French toast. Service at this location is adequate. Trash was over flowing today. I don't care for the communal seating on the one side. I tend to go at odd hours because lunch gets crazy busy here. It's not a terrible option, but there are much better options around. Crumb Brothers for one. read more

I often have a good but not great experience at Kneaders. I recently went through the drive thru and had poor customer services. I was tired after a long day and wasn't as kind as I should have been but then apologized when I got to the window. After I got my food and left (heading home to eat the food) I realized they didn't give me bread for my soup and there was nothing on my sandwich (literally just two pieces of bread). I thought I had to be wrong but I wasn't. I ended up paying $12 for grapes, a cookie, and soup. read more

The Good: Bread, samples, soup, bread pudding, sandwiches, KNEADERS SAUCE the bad: saturday after 8pm- pastries are half off (this is BAD!) the ugly: the looks I get when taking too many samples (sorry) I love this place. I was brought here by my family that live in Logan and oh man I had dreams about the bread all the way back to San Jose. Seriously this place makes my mouth water. That kneaders sauce is so bad but so good. I straight up just put it on some bread samples and I am good. I am better than good. I have had the broccoli cheese soup, roast beef ranch, turkey ranch, raspberry bread pudding, torpedo bomb chocolate thing, eclair, fruit tart- ok I am embarrassing myself here since this is literally only from 2 visits. I purchased their strawberry-tres leches cake and it was a big hit at a commencement party I attended this weekend. This was only my third time ever at Kneaders Bakery & Cafe and I was ridiculously impressed with their cake quality and taste. Their breads and sandwiches are good too. I look at the display case and put on 10 pounds but its so worth it with how tasty the food is. There's not a thing there I wouldn't want to eat. I just wish they were in a better location. Super far out of the way for anyone who doesn't live in Smithfield or north Logan, but i still make the drive occasionally. There aren't much parking or inside seating options to accommodate all of their guests. But that's only because they're so popular. So get your delicious food to go because you might end up standing otherwise. read more

If you are ordering anything to-go, DON'T go inside to place your to-go order. You're better off going through the drive-through. I waited about 15 minutes in line to place my to-go order. Then I waited another 15 minutes before inquiring about my order. They looked for it and discovered it never got sent back to whoever puts together the orders. So, it hadn't even been started. There was a gentleman in line behind me there to pick/up a call-in order. They informed him also that the order he was there to pick-up hadn't been started either. It was like our orders just got completely ignored. I observed so many other people who ordered after I did, but were dining in, who got their food well before me. I was so jealous of all the people who were whizzing through the drive through. I was kicking myself for not doing that. I will never go inside this Kneaders again for a to-go order. The veggie avocado sandwich is pretty good. The bread with nuts in it was pretty amazing with it. The coconut cream pie tasted fresh and very homemade. I also had the red pepper Gouda soup. IF I COULD PUT ZERO STARS I WOULD. The management at this Kneaders location is TERRIBLE! I went in for some coffee and to see there selection of baked goods. As I walk in I could immediately see the tension between the supervisor and the people working the front of house. I had heard rumors about the management bullying workers who put in their two weeks but I did not believe and still went in as a loyal patron. This all changed this week when I went in and saw that the supervisor Willow was screaming and yelling at the workers and claiming that they were giving attitude even though she was the one being completely out of line. THEN IT GOT WORSE! The store manager Kace was extremely unprofessional with me when I wanted to talk to her about the supervisor in the front and she told me I need to mind my business and order the food and hurry along. As I was waiting for my food eagerly waiting to leave I saw Kace scream to the entire staff to clean up a tiny blot of whip cream that she had spilled??? As I was about to leave I heard the manager Kace pull back one of the employees to their office. The manager was screaming so loud that the entire store could hear them and made the employee cry just because she needed to go get a back brace. I will never go to this location again and I do not advise anyone else to go. read more

I have been very disappointed in my last few visits with kneaders. The french dip sandwich seems to be getting smaller each time and more burnt. The cheese felt like rubber tonight and I do not think it was worth the price. The person helping us was also very rude when she forgot to add something to our meal, and had awful customer service skills. Very disappointed. read more

I called in my order and had to pay in advance... yet when I arrived they failed to mention everything I ordered, they no longer had any left of. They could have called before I got there or known what they had left in stock. Didn't even offer aything for free to make up for it like a pastry or something. Ended up in Logan an extra night due to work. I had already checked out of the Holiday Inn Express (no rooms at the Hampton when I booked) but figured I'd check and see if the Hampton had something. Two nights eating from Winger's was enough and the Hampton had a room and is right behind Kneader's. I checked out the menu online and came up with three choices: chicken salad on croissant, French dip on baguette, or tuna on multi-grain bread. First flip of the coin was chicken salad, second was French dip, third landed on tails, so French dip it was. Very good sandwich with not too salty au jus . The bread had a nice crust that softened perfectly with a dip. I also got the broccoli cheese soup, which was fair but a bit too watery. Very nice interior with a section where you can design gift baskets with breads and sauces and other things. Super friendly and fast service (they have a drive through as well). I almost left drool all over the pastry cases - everything looked SOO good. I guess there are other locations, so based on this one I'd definitely try others. read more

Great local chain. Husband and I both love the chunky cinnamon French toast. The caramel syrup, thick whipped cream, and strawberries it's served with really make it a treat. Fresh-squeezed orange juice is great, and they have steamers for the cold weather! Yay! read more

They put the 'meh' in menu. I had a cup of broccoli cheese. I didn't finish it. I ran out of broccoli halfway through and didn't feel like drinking the rest. Our toddler had a cup of chicken noodle soup. Literally two dime sized pieces of chicken, 2 nickel sized carrots and mayyyybe 10 noodles. Just like me, she ran out of chunks less than half way. She didn't want to drink the broth. Hubs got the club..ham, beef and chicken. He said it was ok. We used to go A LOT and havent gone in a while. We got a vanilla bean scone. It looked and smelled better than it tasted. I had one bite and spat it out. It had some fruit in it and some nuts I didn't know about until it was too late. I hate cooked fruit! And the nuts? Not sure what it is. It should be called, vanilla bean nut and peach (?) scone. I got a cheesecake chocolate chip brownie. I took one bite. It would have been great if it weren't for the extra chocolate chips. It was too rich for me. They're both sitting on our counter. :/ I usually like Kneaders. But it was very unsatisfying today. I don't have a Kneaders close to where I live, so it had been a couple of years since I had eaten at one. The food was very tasty. I splurged and ordered a smoothy which was awesome. First of all, I love bread. All you have to do to make me happy is give me delicious homemade bread. If you are going low-carb, go somewhere else. The french toast, the french dip, the pumpkin bread, I really don't think anything they have here isn't delicious. First, the employees here are very polite and well informed. My friend and I had a million annoying questions and we were never made to feel anything but welcome. The restaurant is really cute and they have a large selection of sandwiches, soups, and salads. They also have a large bakery case with French pastries and a large selection of Artisan bread. I had a soup and sandwich combo and my friend had a Panini. The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars are that the homemade chips tasted a bit stale, one of our meals took awhile longer to come out, and the broccoli soup wasn't my favorite. Decent bread, though baked from prefabricated factory dough, I am 100% sure that human hands haven't touched or kneaded that dough. This is a great place to eat! The food is fresh, especially if you can make it there for their French Toast! All you can eat, and it is perhaps the BEST French Toast I have ever tasted. They are always friendly, and when you get your food from them, they always smile, and are just more than willing to say "Have a great day/night" and mean it! Their cookies are also one of the best in the valley. There are times where they will not be fresh (always a sad point) but this seems to be rare occasion when this occurs. Their smoothies as well are amazing, and fresh. The only downside is that if you go through drive thru, expect a wait if its lunch or dinner time. This is to be expected at a location like this though, as the food tastes fresh, and hasn't been sitting somewhere waiting in advance for the hopes that someone will order it. I've been here twice before, and had a decent experience. I ate here today and I was not impressed. The bread was stale. They wouldn't put my avocado on the side of my sandwich so the person I was going with could have it. The food took way to long to get to us, considering the restaurant was near empty. To top it all off, I ordered an eclair, which are normally delicious, it took almost 10 minutes for the employee to remove it from the display case and put it in a bag for me. I had one of the worst experiences of my frequenting Kneaders stores today. Now maybe it was just their bad day, but it was bad should that be the case. First the individual servicing my order knew I was not local and when a local walk in, she stopped following through on my order and assisted the local. Now I had just waited about 15 minutes on the local in front of me to be serviced, which did not trouble me at all. In addition to failing to complete my order, I had to return to the store because she left items out. Finally the 2 key lime tarts I purchased, I threw away. Yes tried the first and it was terrible so I threw them both away. At no other Kneaders have I ever experienced such. Somebody seriously needs to check this stores operation. read more
