The last few visits to Kneaders at Yuma Palms have been disappointing. Very little meat on the French dip and turkey ranch sandwiches and no broccoli in the broccoli cheddar soup. this has been one of our go to places for several years and it is sad to see their standards slip so much. Today 3-14-2022 we decided to give them another try on their email promoted "pi day" special. We ordered lunch then asked about the $2.00 per slice pie special. No one there knew anything about it! I had to show them it was actually scrolling on the reader board above the counter. After they finally figured it out I asked what kind of pie they had. They advertise 6 different selections in the promotion. They had one key lime cream pie. Unbelievable and inexcusable! The Irish stew was all water and the broccoli cheddar had no broccoli again. I almost never leave a negative review but could not let this go without comment. So sad but we won't be back. read more

Three words that sum up my experience at Kneaders Bakery & Cafe is "A soggy mess". I've came into Kneaders around 7:30pm on a weeknight. There was a few dine-in customers and about half a dozen customers waiting for food to go. I've ordered the Chicken Pesto Panini with a cup of Italian Wedding soup to go. I usually just drink water nowadays but you can only add the cup of soup as a combo that includes a drink. I understand and don't mind. That's what's listed on the menu so I'm okay with that. When I got my food, drove half a mile to my hotel. After checking in, it was less than 15 minutes after I got my food. After opening up the food. The panini was soggy, the grill marks didn't even change the color of the bread. I did not see any pesto in the sandwich. The lettuce was a couple of small size scraps. I tried the soup and it tasted like it was from the can. The vegetables were almost melted and the orzo pasta seem to like it's been sitting in the broth for days. I've called the restaurant and spoke to the manager about the soggy panini. She stated that most hot sandwiches would soften in the to-go containers. I understand this but it didn't even look like the sandwich spent much time in the panini press or the press was not hot enough to toast the sandwich. She told me she could make another one for me. I almost considered it but when I asked about the lack of any pesto in the sandwich, she told me that the chicken was cooked in pesto butter. Hearing that there is no pesto sauce and it was almost 8:00 pm, I had a long day and did not feel like going back to exchange the sandwich. I had logged into Yelp to write this review and I saw a photo of somebody else's Chicken Pesto Panini and my did not look anything like it. My sandwich just look like bread that was pressed by the panini press but not toasted. The only reason I gave a 2 star rating was that the manager offered to correct the terrible sandwich, otherwise it would have been a single star. read more

This review is only for bakery items. Decided to stop and get a treat here. Tried the cannoli, fruit tarts,napoleon and chocolate eclairs. I know thats pretty bad but I shared and did not eat it all at once. The overall appeal is what it looks like, all show and no go. They have messed up countless orders and seem to get confused often on what and how they have messed things up. I've been to this Kneader's location many times. Coming in anywhere near lunchtime will almost guarantee disaster. It takes a very long time to get your order. So, this time I ordered online. I ordered a sandwich and a salad a full 1 hour and 45 minutes before it was due to pick up. I get to the pickup window they have no record of it. They tell me that they are not getting online orders through the mailing system. My question is why I have a system at all then? Not a fan. read more

I want so bad to give negative stars. Holy cow, the only thing consistent with this place is they consistently get your order wrong. I am in the parking lot after they AGAIN gave me the wrong order. They then said they couldn't refund the whole order because I didn't return it. We got rolls for thanksgiving, they had mold the next day, we ordered a turkey salad and sandwich a week before that, the turkey looked like beef jerky, the managers excuse, we cooked it wrong that day! I normally love Kneaders! However, their prices went up and their portion sizes went down. Not to mention menu standardization is lacking. I ordered a Large Green Avocado Salad. I have eaten this salad +25 times! The salad consists of Romain lettuce, cherry tomatoes, cucumber, sliced red onion, cubed avocado, and shredded mozzarella cheese. When I ordered it today my salad consisted of a salad mix with kale and lots of cabbage. Very little Romain lettuce. They also didn't have mozzarella so they gave me cheddar. This literally is a completely different salad! Management really needs to retrain their employees in menu standardization/consistency. This makes and breaks customer satisfaction when you pay for a product and get something completely different. read more

While the bread is phenomenal here, I am sadly unimpressed by the timeliness of service, presentation and flavor. I ordered a bacon avocado turkey sandwich on focaccia bread. Te bread was exactly what focaccia should be. Sadly, it was a big hunk of an avocado, not sliced and distributed like it should be. I appreciated the fresh lettuce and tomato, for such a large sandwich, I expected more than two fairly small pieces of bacon. The turkey was relatively proportioned but so bland I questioned if it may be boiled. I am not coming here for anything except fresh bread ever again. Stopped on our way to California and they had no bacon for our sandwich so we asked for extra turkey instead and they didn't put extra. I wanted to order an iced coffee but they didn't have milk so I couldn't buy an ice coffee or hot coffee. The sugar cookies had no flavor and I bought some cinnamon bread came home the next morning to eat it and it's horrible everything had no flavor! Sad because I Live near another Kneaders and it's delicious this place is horrible the bathrooms were filthy no soap in the men's bathroom no paper towels in the women's bathroom. read more

Received a Roast Beef Ranch sandwich covered in Mayo instead of Ranch. This is the 4th time this has happened to me. Manager seems to not care and just nonchalantly tell me the past two times that she would talk to her staff about it. The first time, her excuse was, that it's hard to tell the difference between the bottles and that they get them confused. Instead of labeling the bottles, they'd rather have upset customers and have to keep re-making sandwiches. Also, asked for no tomatoes on my sandwich and ofcourse it had tomatoes even after the girl repeated it back to me saying "no tomatoes" and even on the receipt. read more

I love Kneaders. We drive up from San Diego and spend the night in Yuma and always stop by. Food is decent, deserts are amazing, service is decent. Only complaint is some times it takes for ever for the food to get ready but then we only go on the weekend so we are in no rush. Deserts and Bread never ever disappoint. read more

My co-worker wanted to try Kneaders thinking it would be like a Panera Bread. This it is not, as it lacks the menu variety Panera Bread has. Specifically, she wanted a loaf of sourdough bread. Unfortunately for her, they do not offer sourdough bread as one of their 16 breads available for individual purchase, but only as a bread bowl with their soups. I ordered the Fully Loaded Potato soup in a sourdough bowl for $5.39. Decent price. I love creamy potato soup loaded with bacon, chives and cheese. The potato soup kneaders served me in a plastic container was certainly not "fully loaded". It was watery and lacked the extra ingredients to make it loaded or flavorful. Bland. The only redeeming quality was the sourdough bread. The crust was crispy, but not tough. The serving initially looked small, but the bread made it filling. They could have provided just a bit more soup, because even soaking the soup with the bread bowl left me with a lot of bread when the soup was gone. Customer service was typical of Arizona; the cashier conveyed an irritated demeanour when approached and answering questions about the menu. read more
