Live in Boulder City and wanted someone local to come out and take a look at my AC unit. It unfortunately conked out in the middle of the day, strained daily by the extreme high temperatures...so hot this summer! Looked on Facebook and also checked with my local Handyman... It looked like Lance with Knight AC & Heating was repeatedly and highly recommended. So I called Lance on his cell phone at 5:36 PM thinking I'd request an appointment for maybe the next day or so. He told me that he was indeed booked up, but that he could be out actually within an hour! He arrived within the hour as promised and spent a decent amount of time up on my roof inspecting my unit. He was able to make the necessary corrections and give me some professional recommendations too. He was extremely honest, fair and reasonable. When talking with him, I could easily see why he had such a great reputation. I bought my house three years ago and had called several AC companies to do some preventative maintenance of my two AC units. I left messages, voicemails, and the "contact us" on websites, no one called me back for days. I called Knight AC and they picked up the phone, booked an appointment, and showed up on time. One of my AC units is an older model and there's ample opportunity to upcharge me and perform unnecessary repairs but they recommended one small preventative maintenance repair that was about $50. When my AC just stopped working this week I called Knight AC and they showed up at my house a few hours later, and fixed the problem within 30 minutes. Knight Air Conditioning & Heating in Boulder City, NV. A horrible experience. I first texted a service technician Pete on May 7 regarding my air conditioner and explained what service was needed, a new damper. (I got his number from a neighbor who recently had the same service done and he recommended them). After speaking to Pete he said he would order the damper (he ordered the wrong size). He said he would get the correct size and contact me to replace the damper. I continued talking and texting with him regarding when he was coming. After numerous calls and texts over a six week period he said he was coming (he said he was very busy with other/new customers). Three times he said he was coming and never showed and never responded. In one call he said he was getting on the road from a job and would call/come, May 26 was the last time he texted me. I waited until June 12 and had not gotten a response so I texted again and no response. Recently on June 20, I texted the owner and he said he would do the work. Now the owner said "your going to have to call another company. I'm too busy to get to it". They are very unprofessional and unreliable and that is unacceptable. I do NOT recommend this company. In response to the owner's rebuttal to my review, I have phone records and text nessages to the owner (Lance) and serviceman (Pete). Pete knows the truth. The owner is not being truthful. I am so thankful that I called this phone number for my AC and finally have it working. I am still in shock that I got a person who actually has morals and integrity because it's not about when I am ripped off, it's about when am I not? That is how bad everyone is that I've dealt with. And believe me, I prayed intensely for help to send someone that will actually help and tell me the truth and God answered prayer and it was Lance. Divine intervention. He is the Clint Eastwood of everything AC and when he showed up it was like Bruce Lee, "Enter the Dragon." WOW. My gut was right and never led me astray and when I didn't listen to my gut I paid for it every time, in loss of money to permanent bodily injury. He is honest as the day is long. I needed refrigerent/ freon and he put in just what I needed. I could have had this a long time ago but I had nothing but liars so it stayed like this since April. I asked for more and more freon/ refrigerant and he said no. He could have lied to get more money, which I know anyone else would have. It would just break and another company would say it had nothing to do with it or not call back. He said it would damage the system. It's like a doctor who doesn't give you 100 mg of med if your blood tests show you just need 30 mg. There is a reason for it. So more doesn't mean better all the time. He knows the ranges and he does things right. He is brilliant a master of his craft. He is not worried about giving away 'trade secrets' like other people he explains in simple terms. He did a very, very thorough diagnosis with various equipment and not just one gauge like a red and blue one that many people will use to fool people. That is not all there is to it. Most people are lazy he is not in the definition of lazy, just the opposite. Everyone else I ever deal are rude and stone faced or just fake. Not him. People just want quick money he actually earns it and is deserving of it. And yet he knew immediately what was wrong even before the gauges zoomed right in on the problem. He was the biggest blessing in my life all year and probably years actually. This is one in a million. I ask him to come back a few days later and he did with his partner Ricky and he was just an awesome person. Amazing people. Life would be SOOOOOOOOO much easier and pleasant if people just acted like them. If I ever need AC or Heating I won't call anyone else. No way, because I have 100% trust in him and I don't want to go through hell and games people play. I will never forget them and will keep them in my prayers. And another thing, I would never let anyone in my place or even in another room without me in it, except my own kid, but he is the exception. I have NEVER said that about anyone else. I would give them a thousand stars if I could. Called Knight Air on 4/29/2021 for problems on my elderly fathers air conditioner and Peter went out to his house and couldn't fix the problem and recommended a new air conditioner which was installed on 5/1/2021. I paid $6700.00 which Peter told me it had to be cash or check only. The unit never worked properly and I called numerous times for their service and the warranty information, which Peter finally dropped off to me on May 28, 2021, over 3 weeks later. I called again on June 20, 2021 and talked to Peter about the air still not blowing properly, this was done during the heat wave here in Vegas. He told me to send him the address, which I did and he said some one would come out on June 21,2021 no one ever came out and I texted him when is someone coming out it. He finally responded and said he would go and said it was blowing out of the vents. It never cooled down, so I called again and he said it's blowing and it won't get cooled past 20 degrees. I said so if it's a 120 out then it will be 90 in my elderly bedridden fathers house, he said yes. I said I need an actual warranty this is unacceptable I have still not received a warranty and it been 8 weeks. I had numerous friends, family call and ask to speak to Lance Ditzler the owner and his other employee Jason. He refused to give the message or Lance didn't feel I was important enough to contact back. I finally had to call another company to come out so my father didn't die in the heat wave and they said the unit was not properly wired and it was blowing but the fan wasn't working. They fixed it right there on the spot for my father. Thank God the house didn't burn down. My friend finally reached Jason, she got his cell number and gave it to me and I called him. He kept saying he would make it right and come out never did. He refused to give me my warranty info that I paid for. It's been almost week no call back. Nothing. I was told by my neighbor that this Peter was a next door neighbor who lost his job and Lance gave him a chance only to answer phones and to do scheduling. But for some reason Peter was on my dads roof installing and hooking up an air conditioner. Peter showed up smelling of alcohol and when he picked the check up from me, was smelling of alcohol too, no wonder it was wired wrong. They treated me as a dumb female and never called me back, it's been 8 weeks. No warranty, jeopardized my fathers health and life during a heat wave. Allowing an employee to work smelling of alcohol is beyond acceptable. This is absolutely disgusting, greedy unprofessional people to treat women and an elderly man this way all for a dollar. read more

Terrible experience hiring them for new a/c unit. They couldn't complete the job. They said it was too big a job. We had to hire a new company to finish installing a new air handler. Don't use them for big jobs. They don't return calls. They just don't have enough experience. read more

The main thing I look for in any repair work is a company with integrity. First off they sent someone out for a heater repair within an hour on a Sunday and provided excellent service. The issue with the heater was quite complicated though and members of the Knight staff came out numerous times and tried to repair with the aid of a plumber since the issue stemmed from the water heater. After the plumber let them down they had to bow out of the repair. The owner told me he wasn't going to charge anything since they couldn't repair the issue. These guys spent hours of time and effort on this thing and went above and beyond attempting to repair it and then didn't charge a cent because they couldn't complete the job thru no fault of theirs.
