Always on time, no canceled appointments, friendly service personnel. They will explain in detail the status of your heating and air. They even change your filters as an added bonus. Over the past few years in Vegas, we have had several different service people from Action. All are fantastic. If you lucky you will get Nick, but do not despair all their people are great. Prices do not compare with other like businesses. They offer a great yearly fee to cover all your costs on future repairs. I have Fidelity as a Home Warranty - long story short Action Air saved our sanity. Our AC went out and had to go out of network, because Fedility couldn't find an in network company to come out. We called Action Air and they were able to schedule us within a couple of hours, from our call. The inside of our house was over 100°, we had been in excessive heat warning for days and were still going to be them for another week. Nick came out, diagnosed the problem(s) and let us know how we could proceed. Since we had Fidelity I followed their protocol, but was given the run around / delayed tactics and since this was literally life or death, scheduled an appointment, for Action Air to install a new unit. Our appointment was a few days out and Action Air offered to let us borrow some portable AC units. They worked so we could do some stuff at home, but with the excessive heat warning the units weren't enough for us to stay full time at the house. We ended up getting a motel for the evenings. During all this time Tracy was calling checking on us. When it came installation time, everyone showed up at the arranged time and work started immediately. Everyone knew what part they had and it went together like a puzzle. All the guys were attentive, friendly, they put down sheets in the walkways they used, the had sheets to cover the clothes in the closet, for when they were in the attic, they cleaned up after themselves and knew their business. They install a brand new, bigger and so much more quieter Maytag unit. After a few hours we had air . They removed the old unit and got the required permits. People and dogs were happy again. Unfortunately, later that night cold air stopped blowing. I contacted Tracy and she immediately called back. She got Nick on the phone and started brainstorming what the problem could be. Since it was 9/9:30pm, they said they'd be out 1st thing in the morning. Morning arrived and I get the call they're on their way. Nick does some testing and turns out it was a bad blower - the blower is old. The blower had absolutely nothing to do with the installation. Even though we weren't scheduled for an installation, they stayed and installed a new blower in the attic for us. Without a doubt, or skipping a heart beat, I would recommend Action Air - Tracy, Nick, Andrew and Mark (there was another guy, but I missed his name). Some companies have the ability to set themselves apart from the others and Action Air is just such a company. I've had multiple companies come to my home to diagnosis what i thought was a zoning issue. Action Air was able to get me in on very short notice which was impressive too say the least, Eric called me and said he was running early, I said please come over. He listened to my issue and up in the attic WE went. He explained the issue to me in laymen terms and explained my options. I explained to Eric the system was under warranty and he listened as I talked to Honeywell about the problem. Eric said he would speak with his manager to see if they would honor the warranty work. The reason I point this out, is most companies WOULD NOT go to such lengths to put in warranty work. Honestly, I was skeptical myself. So, this is where it gets real good, Tracy called me this morning and said that Action Air WOULD indeed replace the broken part and honor the warranty, I was so impressed!! My experience with Action Air has been nothing but spectacular and second to none!! Eric was thorough and more importantly, knowledgeable to what was the problem with my zoning system. After I wrote my check for the service call, I asked Eric did they have a Veteran discount?? and he immediately took off a portion of the service call. Our air conditioning stopped working in half of our condo. The next day, we called a list of three A/C service companies to see if any were available to assess our A/C that day. Action Air was the first company to pick up the phone. The representative I spoke with at Action Air stated that they could send an A/C technician to assess our A/C later the same day, though it would be later than our building allowed (after 4:00 pm the same day). The staff at our building ok-ed the technician to come in an the technician arrived at 4:21 pm. I was not informed by Action Air that having one of their servicemen come out after 4:00 pm would mean extra charges. I first heard of the additional charges in the comments below, after service was completed and paid for. The comments below state that the extra charges (which were not mentioned over phone, in person, or on the invoice they gave me after I paid for the service) were for: (1) A last minute request (which A/C requests usually are) (2) Extra insurance required to work in our building, and (3) The extra length of time required to go through our front gate and talk to our front desk (10 minutes on a busy day). This is the service we received: The technician used an infrared thermometer to ensure that cool air wasn't coming through the vents in question. Then, he went to the compressor and drained the pipes (which required the push of a button- the machine cleared itself). He then gave me a bucket of dirty water, which I cleaned out and gave back to him. He came back to me in the next 10 minutes with: A bill for $210 dollars: $105 for the diagnosis $105 for draining the pipes I think most people can see why this charge seems unreasonably high. AFTER ALL OF THAT, WE STILL DO NOT HAVE COOL AIR TO HALF OF OUR CONDO- NO RESOLUTION CAME OF THIS VISIT. Yet, when I contacted Action Air about this via email (like they requested below), I was advised that I am expected to pay for work completed and that no refund would be issued. I am happy to pay for service that actually solves the issue we called for. I never refused to pay for services/I paid right after service was complete. From what I can see, I paid for a person to come to our unit, check the temperature, push a button, ask for me to clean the mess, and then to leave, resolving no issue. No responsibility was taken on their part for poor communication, hidden fees, and no resolution of the issues that we called about. It's not reasonable for a company to expect customers to pay for services that did not solve any problems. That is the company's responsibility. This was a small problem that could have been solved with honesty and accountability, rather than pretending that you would resolve the problem here and then telling me via email that you are not willing to give a refund for service that did not solve the problem. I have never written a review like this; I wrote it because I'm appalled by how this was handled. read more

Scam artists. The quote they gave me is almost double all the other vendors. When I told them they are more expensive than everyone else I was told there is a $100 charge for them coming out to the house. They should tell people in advance when there is a charge for a visit, not after the fact. The lady on the phone said it's like going to a restaurant, you have to pay for the meal. How is this even relevant? I recommend to stay away. I used another company that charged me much less, almost half, and there was no charge for their visit either. read more

Told the dispatcher my problems with new house upstairs heat pump condensate line clog already called my house warranty and told line was clogged as he pumped 160 psi into line and popped a 90 turn off. I relayed all this inf to her and she still sent a guy to try same thing , same result. Though he used a refrigerant at 240 psi. Same thing. So long story short, 2 75$79 bills with no help. She did call back and say they would have to tun a new line from unit to out side 2 guy 4-5 hours . No really. So I will fix myself when back feel well enough for two hours of labor. I would think Action would be good for residential service calls only not what I asked for though. read more

Otherwise I was very annoyed that they were not honest about the price of the motor that needed to be changed i was told the motor cost $550 and when i went on amazon i saw it was only a $100 dollars. Absolutely amazing customer service and honest to boot! So we woke up this morning at 6am to a very hot house because our AC had gone out over night. What a great way to start they day! Luckily my husband had Action Air Conditioning on the phone within the hour of us discovering that our AC was out. We have used them twice before and knew Action was a great company to deal with. He called them and we had an appointment scheduled for later in the afternoon today! Yep, that's right, TODAY, the same day that we called! The technician was here by the time promised. He even called to let me know he was on his way, which I always appreciate, since it helps you plan your day around the service call. When he got here, he asked me what was going on. I told him the issues and he went to work right away. After a bit, he had figured out the issue (a blown circuit board) and explained what he needed to do, how long it would take, and the approximate cost to replace the part. So after sweating my tail off all day, I told him to go for it and fix the bad boy ASAP. And what do you know, the AC unit was fixed within the time frame promised and for the exact amount we had discusses previously. No mysterious charges or parts were added to the bill. He even showed me the messed up part, which was a circuit board with a blown out hole the size of a dime, and explained what happened to cause the problem in the first place (thank goodness for circuit breakers). My technician was awesome. He was friendly, knowledgable, and good at his job. The call center was friendly, courteous and very helpful when arranging my service call. This is a top rate company that does great work honestly! Thanks Action Air Conditioning, Inc. for fixing me up and treating me well. I used the Yelp quote tool to get quotes form 8 differ a/c companies. Some responded with quotes that "could range from $150-$1,500" others wouldn't even give a quote. This company gave an honest answer and extremely reasonable quote of under $100. They responded quickly to my messages and set up an appointment for the next day and worked around my schedule by setting a 3:00-5:00 pm window. The tech, Eric, called 30 mins before 3:00 to let me know he would arrive at 3:00. He showed up right on time, was extremely polite and very knowledgeable. He explained in detail what he needed to do, the types of equipment he'd be using and that even if there was extra work involved that he would honor the online quote! I met them by accident - my neighbor had called for service and I said "hey, since you're in the neighborhood, can you fix mine too?" We had a few days in May 2014 were it seemed a little warm in the house and discovered the air conditioner wasn't coming on. I checked Yelp and I liked the reviews for Action, so thought we would call, they were able to come out that Friday evening and take a look. It took our tech about 10 min to find the problem. The heater cover had come loose and it caused the entire system to shut down, definitely not something we ever could have conceived ourselves, we checked everything we could think of. I selected Action Air because of its review rating and also because of the voucher offer. It did not disappoint me. I was very satisfied with the service. I called in the morning because my tenant's thermostats broke down and I needed a morning call. The rep. was very courteous and was able to arrange a service call in the morning. It was a bit of a lemon with many problems, so I had them out a couple of times per year to handle issues. They were always quick to respond, had reasonable prices, and their staff were respectful. WOW! I will never use another AC company again. We called Action Air a little before 8p and they were here by 9p!! This is after we had called ANOTHER company (who we had used before when we had a home warranty) last Friday morning(!) and they said everyone is backed up and they couldn't get out here until Monday 1p-5p, and we slept in a bedroom with no air for 4 nights (thermostat registering 91) and then they didn't show, even after I called at 4:45p and they said they were running about 2 hours behind and asked if I would still be home. The technician that arrived from Action Air (within about an hour!) was friendly, helpful and although he couldn't replace the compressor (ouch!) he gave me the name of who would call in the morning with a quote and timeline. This company is called action air, and they are completely right about the action part. 4/30/14, I wake up and I'm sweating bullets, turns out my upstairs A/C went out. I call them, expecting that someone will be out in a day or two, but was shocked when I was told I'd have someone there within the hour. Tim, the tech was prompt and polite, it took him about 30 minutes to explain the problem and give the price. he explained the part number and even let me look it up to make sure I wasn't being ripped off before he did any work. I talked to both him and his supervisor and the customer service was absolutely phenomenal. They worked with me in getting everything taken care of quickly and even did a follow up call to make sure everything was working great. What an amazing ordeal start to finish!!! Messaged a bunch of Air conditioning places looking for reasonable quotes on what it cost to fix our wires. (Our puppy chewed them up) we panicked and thought we were going to have to pay tons of money to get it fixed. I call Action Air on a Wednesday night regarding air conditioning problems. Air Conditioning problems is one thing, but in June its even worse. Upon calling the company, I was greeted with a friendly reception and asked details regarding where I live and what was wrong. After a brief conversation, I was told I would have help within the next hour and sure enough---I DID! I have one of their technicians, Dustin, come out and take a look. Not only was he friendly, but he was also able to explain the problem in simple terms. No fluff, no BS. Dustin was very straight forward and explained the cost if I were to do it that night or the next day. I opted for the next day. Dustin saved my number before he left and called me in the late morning letting me know of his arrival. He was in and out very fast while also doing a wonderful job. Parts and labor were inexpensive. Customer service on the phone when setting the appointment was good and the repairman showed up earlier than scheduled...A+. He was a friendly person and pinpointed my problem and fixed it immediately. However I gave them 3 stars because I felt a bit overcharged for the simple 20 minute visit and easy solution to my problem (a simple tightening of a loose connection on my power box that took 1 minute to tighten). All in all, I appreciated the customer service, speedy arrival, and friendliness...but the fee was too high in my opinion. read more

I had such a great experience that I had to share. I knew something was up when we woke up and it was hot in the house. Like gross hot. I searched for a business to call and the only thing I knew was that I was not going to call the Yes! Company. After a little research I landed on Action air. There was definitely hesitation on my part being they had a perfect yelp score but the reviews seemed legit and I gave them a call. A gentleman answered the phone and we worked out a time. The last week of June, I came home on a Friday to find the fan for our air conditioning unit was not turning on and that the house was getting warmer by the hour. We called our warranty service, and after insisting that June in Las Vegas was NOT the time to be without air conditioning (especially with dogs in the house) they finally agreed to see if they could find someone to come out Saturday. So no air for the night; just fans. Saturday morning, after no call back from the warranty company's HVAC service, I decided I was willing to pay to get the unit working and started calling a few places. Action Air was the first to call back - and they did it within half an hour! I explained the situation to Tracy - the air conditioner was turning on, but there was no fan to actually blow the air through the house - and she stated she could have someone out between 11am and 1pm. Dennis showed up right in the time window, checked out our thermostat, then headed up to the roof. He found some burnt out contacts and one other damaged piece (didn't catch the name), and also stated we would need a new thermostat. While I ran out to Home Depot for a thermostat (they don't carry them in their vehicles due to the heat messing up the thermometers), he completed the repairs on the roof. He brought the old pieces down so we could see the damage, hooked up the new thermostat, and we were back in business! I loved the attitude shown by Dennis when we asked if it looked like the air conditioner would need replacing in the near future: "No. Everything looks good on the unit itself. If it goes out again, call us. My job is to repair it; not try to sell you a new one. I'll let you know when it gets to that point." Since a new unit is easily $5000-$7000, this was music to my ears. Everything was working well for the last few weeks and I was all set to type up this review when, suddenly, the fan stopped automatically coming on again two nights in a row. I got it working both times (and kept it running after the second), called Action Air, and Tracy had Dennis swing by about an hour after my call. He checked all connections at the unit and at the thermostat, and everything looked good. He switched out the time delay (?) and tested the system several times. Everything worked smoothly. The fan has been a random issue over the last couple of years (I think there is a gremlin in the connections), so hopefully the new switch takes care of things. Either way, Tracy and Dennis provided fast service, got things up and running, and didn't try to upsell a new unit. I can't imagine anything better! read more
