We brought in multiple pieces of WHITE GOLD jewelry to be repurposed into a new engagement and wedding set. The items included four rings, multiple diamonds, and a 2-carat sapphire. Because we were supplying the gold and gemstones, we expected most of the cost to be labor and custom design work. We were quoted approximately $2,000 for the project. While that seemed expensive, we agreed to move forward based on the quote we were given. Then came the real problem. After nearly FOUR WEEKS of waiting with little to no communication, we were suddenly told the project would actually cost $4,000--double the original quote. The explanation given was that there had been a "misunderstanding" regarding the original price. I do not find that explanation believable or acceptable. A quote doesn't accidentally double after a month of holding a customer's jewelry. If there was confusion, it should have been identified immediately, not after weeks of wasted time. We trusted this business with valuable family jewelry and expected professionalism, transparency, and honest communication. Instead, we were left feeling misled and frustrated. The most disappointing part is that we only came here because our trusted jeweler couldn't meet our timeline. Looking back, waiting for the jeweler we already trusted would have been the better decision. Whether this was incompetence, poor communication, or a bait-and-switch pricing tactic, the result was the same: four weeks wasted and a complete loss of confidence in this business. I was told this is a mom and pop shop so I went there thinking it would be friendly.... NOT! These people stick their noses up in the air if they don't get a sale out of you and also if you ask them any questions about the quality of your own jewelry... I took my GIA LeVian ring there because I wanted to ask about the stone which is beautiful and changes colors depending on the light and the snooty son there said 'what is it you want to know?' And I proceeded to explain to him and ask him about the color differential and he said 'well you have a GIA certification, what is it you want to know? Then, rudely said, You can ask them!'. Then he boasted how he was good friends with the LeVian family of jewelers, as if to impress me, but I was not impressed and maybe that got on his nerves. I thought to myself, I'll let you impress someone else because I certainly wasn't. Came a couple months ago and dropped off a bracelet that i needed to be cut down to fit. The older lady helping us was not friendly at all, not necessarily rude or anything just very cold. I asked for 4 links to be taken off, they said it would be done in 3 days. I hadn't received a call from them in 5 days so i called, they said its not ready yet, 2 days later i call back and they say its ready, i asked how long it has been ready for and the gentleman on the phone said about 3 days. I go in to pick up my bracelet and it's still big on me but I just thought maybe i didn't tell them to take off enough links, I pay, and am about to walk out before I realize they didn't give me my extra links, I ask and they give them to me. 1. They should've had the links with my bracelet and i shouldn't have to ask for my own gold to be given back to me. and 2. I realize they only cut off 3 links. My husband got to hand pick all of the diamonds that are in my ring, they made sure that everything was set well and my husband picked the top quality in diamonds. It really does matter when looking at them and looking at them under light. Once it was time for my husband to have a band made for my engagement ring, Knights was right on it, didn't take more time than what they had told us it would take and it came out stunning. 5 years later (now) my husband decided we need to relocate to another state and he will be leaving next week to try and land employment along with a house. Went in to get 2 of my daughters ears pierced! Prior phone call that was made was very professional and answered all questions of concern! Once we got there was greeted by Gigi and another nice gentleman who were very helpful! Gigi took all the time we needed and was very compassionate and patient(with my very nervous 7 year old) that was needed!! Got ears pierced perfectly and then did a second piercing for my 12 year old and had some good laughs along the way!! I was referred to Knight's Jewelers by Fabrie Jewelers to have some custom work done. I wanted to have an old 14K Chain made into a cuff bracelet and I was quoted $500 for the work and 4 to 5 weeks for delivery of my bracelet. After 4 weeks and couple of days of waiting I called to see if possibly my item was completed. I was provided a 5 minute explanation or (excuses) as to why my item had not even been started, I was told I could pick it up the following week completed. I waited 10 Days and called back to see if my item was ready, they had melted the chain back into a 14k bar of gold and that was all that had been done in 6 weeks time. When I asked again for another time when it would be ready I was told we cannot tell you when, we will call you when it is ready (that could be years). Well at this time I took my items back realizing they will not or quite possibly cannot get the job done. The owner is the worst and has no concern for his customers they lie and misrepresent themselves and when they fail you do not even get an I am sorry. I went and showed the results of this fruitless effort to Fabrie Jewelers proudly showing them the clump of melted gold I waited six weeks to get and made them aware when they refer customers to Knight's Jewelers this is what they are referring those people to deal with at Knight's Jewelers.
