My husband recently purchased a new diamond for my wedding ring as an anniversary gift. Our local jeweler said there was no way he could accommodate the new diamond in my existing wedding ring. My husband took the ring to Rogers and spoke with Tim. He had the jeweler look at it. He said he could reconstruct the ring to replace the existing halo with the new larger diamond. We felt very confident about what they were going to do. We left it for 7 days. My husband brought it home last week and it is beautiful. It is just as described by the jeweler and fit perfectly. Many thanks to Tim for the wonderful customer service and to the jeweler for his beautiful work.

A late holiday gift, yes my husband loves his green faced Seiko that's an analog watch and my ring with fixed prongs.

We, my husband and I, have n clients of Rogers Jewlery for at least 15+ years. We started in Visalia and with that store closing moved to the Bakersfield store because the staff that we worked with went there. Tim Rico has been a major help, as has ALL the Bakersfield staff with us shifting our business down this way. I mean down because we now drive south. The Bakersfield Rogers Jewlery is where my husband bought a Seiko watch he had seen in an ad that the store was able to find and hold for us until we could make our way down to pick it up. They also adjusted the prongs on my ring that were loose so the diamonds would not fall out. Yes, I did also by an extended warranty on the ring as it is over 12 years. Thanks Tim and the Bakersfield staff for continuing to make us feel like family and not customers!!

Purchasing big? Ask for champagne! You deserve it...

Still a 5 star establishment! Saved my pennies literally, ferociously and bought my first Tag Heuer. She is a beauty! Been many hours now and NO buyer's regret! Darryl was patient, knowledgeable, fair, funny and accommodating. No sales pressure. Not one bit. I learned later that my husband has used him also as the sales person when having had bought me jewellery. Same impeccible attitude. The store had a lot of selection, a catalog on hand for reference and payment went quickly/smoothly. I never have to pay for a new watch battery again. It is guaranteed for life. I asked for champagne once my selection was made, half jokingly and boom! It appeared! It was good, too! Zero pressure unlike other places to sign up for credit or the like. I had started going here just for Pandora, now I will only go here for baubles and gems!

Where to begin? Rogers Jewelry is impersonal, over priced, and will damage your personal property. We brought in three items to Rogers. First, my wedding ring to be looked at because it's been 10 years since we bought it and I wanted to make sure the prongs weren't loose and everything holding the diamonds in were in good shape. Second, my late mother's ring that is incredibly sentimental to me. The middle stone had fallen out and I wanted it put back in. I was aware that it was misshapen due it being sterling silver and because she wore it every single day but I didn't want that altered because I wear it on a chain and the whole sentimental thing. And third, my husband's very nice watch to be resized and put on a brand new metal band we provided. Let's start with their customer service. The woman who helped us, Ryan was disrespectful. She took my late mother's ring and kept widening her eyes at the bent band and practically rolled her eyes when I said it was sterling silver. I explained that it was sentimental to me and that I wear it on a chain so the band didn't need to be fixed, I just wanted the stone put back in. She sighed heavily and explained that because it's sterling silver there's a chance that they can't do anything for me. She asked me several times if I was sure I didn't want it fixed because "it's like REALLY bent". She put both of my rings in the back because their jewelry repair person wasn't in yet. She told my they would call by 5pm with a quote (they closed at 6pm). She moved onto my husbands watch. She was in the back for no exaggeration forty-five minutes to an hour working on this dang band. In the process she managed to scratch up the screws and gouge the watch and the band. We had two small kids with us and after spending all morning in the store we just wanted out and didn't look it over closely because we really really wanted to leave. We didn't notice the damage until that night. At that point, we felt it would be worthless to bring it up but still weeks later it still bothers my husband and I'm kicking myself for not speaking up right when we noticed. When a store employee damages an item they're working on they should be honest and forthcoming but she was not. So, 5pm comes and goes. It's getting closer to closing time so I decide to give them a call. Someone hands Ryan the phone and she says "Oh yeah I was just going to call you!" (sure). She then quotes me $800 to fix my wedding ring because apparently every single diamond was on the verge of falling out and they needed to replace every tip and prong. She also said "Oh and we can't fix your grandma's ring because it's just sterling silver." ...it was my mother's ring not my grandmother's ring which I stated several times in the hours we were there that day. As if I needed more proof that she didn't pay any attention to what I was telling her, and honestly after the work they did on the watch I didn't want them touching my rings so we picked them up that night. I took both rings to American Jewelry Co and they WERE able to fix my mothers sterling silver ring. They didn't sigh or roll their eyes at the bent band, and they fixed the loose prong on my wedding band for $60. For obvious reasons, we will not be back. I only wish I would have learned the lesson without sacrificing my husband's watch and two hours of my life in the process. I'm uploading photos of the hack job Ryan did to the watch and the band. Absolutely none of these marks were there when we brought it in.

Because we were supplying the gold and gemstones, we expected most of the cost to be labor and custom design work. We were quoted approximately $2,000 for the project. While that seemed expensive, we agreed to move forward based on the quote we were given. Then came the real problem. After nearly FOUR WEEKS of waiting with little to no communication, we were suddenly told the project would actually cost $4,000--double the original quote. The explanation given was that there had been a "misunderstanding" regarding the original price. I do not find that explanation believable or acceptable. A quote doesn't accidentally double after a month of holding a customer's jewelry. If there was confusion, it should have been identified immediately, not after weeks of wasted time. We trusted this business with valuable family jewelry and expected professionalism, transparency, and honest communication. Instead, we were left feeling misled and frustrated. The most disappointing part is that we only came here because our trusted jeweler couldn't meet our timeline. Looking back, waiting for the jeweler we already trusted would have been the better decision. Whether this was incompetence, poor communication, or a bait-and-switch pricing tactic, the result was the same: four weeks wasted and a complete loss of confidence in this business. Proceed with caution. If you choose to use this jeweler, get every detail in writing before leaving your jewelry with them.

I took it up to the 5th floor because I wanted to put Ruby's in the eyes of the eagle. Perfect, I leave the sword and wait for his call. A week later Carl called me and I went straight over to pick it up. I get there and Carl has this kind of sad/anxious look on his face. That's when he hit me with it, "I quoted you the wrong price, it's $600 for each stone not $600 total". I'm now thinking I can't pay for this now and they're already installed. He then continues, I know you had a budget and if I got it right you would have turned down the $1200 price tag. So, I'm honoring my quote of $600 and here's your sword. I didn't know what to say, what do you say? I had made some extra side $ the day before that was my pocket money for the next week. I pulled out the $100 I made and handed it to him. He tried to refuse but I placed it in his hand and let go. I apologized and said that's all the money I have. He thanked me for my business and gained a customer for life that day. I cannot gush enough about this business! There is a backstory, so hear me out!…read more My husband designed my engagement ring from a jeweler online, and we bought my wedding band through them. Therefore, getting things adjusted is no easy task online. So I've been on the hunt for a local jeweler since 2018. I first went to another place in town, to not be named. Their service was not ideal as they did not recommend adjusting my ring size, and their quoted cost of re-dipping my white gold rings seemed outrageous. So I had them adjust one band, to the 1/4 size, since that's all they would do. But I knew this wouldn't make me happy, I could feel it in my gut! Well 2 1/2 years go by and I'm still unhappy with the size and fit of my bands. Together they feel tight, almost claustrophobic, and leave indentions in my finger. Even though, alone, they fit fine. Finally I went to Houston since they have a great reputation and are near my house. The service was amazing! As soon as I walked in, the associate, I didn't get her name, explained that she had the same issue with her rings and she understood completely. She recommended going up a half size for each ring (I KNEW IT!). She even said the resizing would INCLUDE a cleaning and a dipping of my white gold. All of this was the same price, per ring, for the 1/4 resizing the other jeweler begrudgingly did years ago. They were so kind, efficient, and offered excellent customer service. I have now bragged about my experience to multiple people, hinted at some jewelry I loved to my husband ;) and will plan to be back in the future. Also, my rings SPARKLED after I got them back! Thank you, Houston!
