Kind of a close quarters firing line which makes it difficult to teach or for someone to learn on…read more I don't recommend this range for beginners due to all the clutter and close proximity to the other shooters, Also a RSO seemed to be somewhat arrogant because it was our first time using this range and made a comment that we didn't approve of. I'm retired military and law enforcement and have a lot a knowledge about firearms and firearms safety. I didn't appreciate a RSO standing right behind me breathing down my neck while the line was hot. Some of the staff need to take a course in customer relations.

Recently went here with my wife hoping to introduce her to firearms for the first time…read more Unfortunately, it ended up being a pretty awful experience. At the range, one of the range officers on duty decided to use our rather expensive range time ($30 an hour/person) to give my wife an unsolicited lesson in how to handle a gun. For context, prior to going, I went through the trouble of prepping my wife for the range, teaching her how to handle the gun safely via dry fire practice. I tried communicating this to the range officer, but he insisted on giving my wife the lesson anyway. He spent half of our shooting session giving her an awkward, overly hands-on, borderline physically intrusive, lesson, getting closer than necessary. By the time he was finished, we would only be able to shoot a few rounds before the next cease fire was announced. The range master himself that day would make pretty belittling comments to me, often insisting I should do things a certain way that I felt were closer to arbitrary preferences than actual objective rules. For example, he told me I should move my target up to the 7 yard line (it was originally at the 10 yard line) because my groups weren't as tight as he thought they should be. All in all, we had a pretty terrible experience with this place and will almost certainly not be coming back.
