    LCD Soundsystem Dec 10, 2025

We loved seeing LCD Soundsystem at the Knockdown Center Wednesday Dec 10, 2025. The venue was awesome with a large area of lockers where you get a code via QR scan on your phone - to be able to access your mini locker throughout the event. Three friends shared ours and it was easy and cost $15. The room sounded great, there are some large posts around you might have to dodge but you can find spots to see well throughout. There's also a courtyard nearby for quick access for fresh air to cool down from dancing. Drinks were good - I had a strawberry lemonade spritzer that hit the spot. Most drinks were around $10. Would love to see more shows here.

I came here two times so far for events. The venue is super close to public transportation and walking distance from other venues as well. The sound quality is great, plenty of bathrooms, and different rooms within the venue so you're not packed like sardines but actually able to move to the music. The drink prices are okay-$16 for well but the frozen margarita was od- $25?!. Outside of the frozen drink prices, everything else was amazing.

I went to the Jack Daniel's Art Beats and Lyrics Free Event and BABY!!!!!!!! We had TIME LAST NIGHT!!!! The art was definitely a vibe and definitely brought some Brooklyn ethnic background of today's color world. The drinks we tried were the Jack Honey with lemonade and the cranberry apple with Jack apple. The DJ was playing them tunes for real. The art was a pleasure to see. The service was super quick they had about like 4 bars and free food, but the lines were a little long. They had Philly cheese steak and tacos.

Old factory buildings are one of my favorite things about New York City. Yet as time passes, there are fewer and fewer to be found. The old brick, chimneys, and occasional fancy iron work from over a century ago are rapidly disappearing and being replaced by newer buildings and projects. The Knockdown Center has been beautifully preserved & is open to the public for events. I usually go here in the fall (versus Avant Gardner in the summer). The knockdown center feels more relaxed compared with similar venues. The bathrooms are large and clean. I liked that they had a bathroom attendant there. While I'm not a big fan of the location- hard to get to via public transportation- the interior is airy and spacious with beautiful old beams and a comfortable outdoor space. The venue name has an interesting history - taken from their website -- "first as the Gleason-Tiebout glass factory, then as Manhattan Door factory. It is named for the Knock-Down door frame that was invented here in 1956 by Samuel Sklar and remains an industry standard to this day. The frame could be shipped in pieces -- or "knocked down" -- and installed into existing walls, revolutionizing the speed and efficiency of building construction." New York has so many stories and little tidbits of history in every corner.

Went here recently for the Alkaline Trio concert. Overall, the venue is huge. There's even some room for seating towards the back. Multiple large bar areas. Drinks were on the average to expensive side. Bathrooms were good and there was even bathroom staff making sure the bathrooms were clean and hanging out Paper towels and things. As far as the concert, the overall sound quality was good there was definitely enough room to move around and to be spaced out more towards the back. only negative is this venue is not really close to any subway stations, it's kind of more in a very industrial space granted there is Some bars and stores close by. The closest subway station said it was gonna be a 10 minute walk which is fine. Most people were getting Ubers and Lyft which made the prices very high so just be mindful of that.

I honestly am really surprised this venue had negative reviews. My experience over the weekend was incredible. I attended the knockdown center for a hard techno concert, and what a venue! The sound was phenomenal, good space to move about, and a wonderful location. Sara Landry played two sold out shows, one being seven hours straight and knockdown showed up for this. This venue supported everything and more! The drinks are crazy expensive but that's to be expected. Outside smoking areas too.

Kick ass venue. Sound was amazing. Good space. More DJs should spin here. Non-binary bathrooms.

Large scale venue, with some pretty good performances. Could tighten up the operational side. Maybe Avant Gardner could give them some tips.

The bar is a bit on the smaller side in terms of seating, but it has a TON of personality. I loved the eclectic decorations and knickknacks around the seating areas and the bar. The bartender had the TV tuned in to Jeopardy, so my inner (or extremely obvious?) nerd was beaming. In terms of the drinks themselves, I tried the cocoa orange whiskey (?) infusion on the rocks, and my BF had the chipotle paloma. We would both say they were solid, definitely not at "craft cocktail" level, but decent. This bar has a fun + dive-y feel - the kind of place where you get a beer, a plate of chicken nuggets, and watch trash tv with your neighborhood crew (I think they actually do have people who have a weekly Bachelorette viewing during the week). Definitely worth checking out if you're already in the area and looking for ~vibes.~

I've had a number of drinks here and it's been a great meeting spot for late night occasions, especially ones that revolve around a good drink. No doubt it's one of the more underrated nightlife venues in the borough. The setup feels like something out of a Brooklyn type bar - pseudo hipster vibe, casual environment with the whole board games and stacks of books all within a space that is well divided to give a different feel in each corner of the small'ish interior. Like a living room extension but with adult company. Of course, the bar is the most prominent thing in the room and it's a great place to chill as a solo patron. Groups can congregate in the lounge-y areas but the feel is remarkably different depending on where one choses to hang. On a beverage front, there is no shortage of quality drinks to be had. The cocktails are well made and not expensive; the bartenders do a good job of making sure each drink carries a certain kind of potency before leaving the bar. The happy hours are lovely as well, combined with a good deals ($5 shot + beer special, $5 cocktails, etc.) and even better hours (2-8pm!). Lastly, I appreciate a good name. Bad Old Days can be interpreted in many facets, but I think this establishment prides itself on good company and somehow rewards us with simple, good drinks. Bring a friend or three, enjoy the random movies that get projected onto the wall, and enjoy a late night capper in a quiet part of an emerging part of Queens.

Yee-haw in Ridgewood!…read more My boyfriend is always asking me about my regular bar. I go to TV Eye for the shows, Milo's Yard for the yard and dj nights and Ore Bar is my fave but Jones Bar there's something about you that keeps you in my thoughts! We came on a Sunday afternoon for a cold one before heading home. It is insanely chill. The bartender was funny and inviting. The regulars were like old friends. My boyfriend loved talking sports with a few and deep diving into their love and hate for the Mets! The bartender mentioned that there was supposed to be a vintage market that was cancelled because of the rain. There is food pop ups as well and live music. This recent Friday was four live acts and for FREE. We made our return to our new fave spot. It did not disappoint. The place was packed but not annoying. People were chill. Age range from 25-40 maybe. The first guy playing is from Austin, Bubba Lucky also designed the flyer for the event. The second act, Patton Magee was a three piece. A perfect Friday night hang for sure. Country is back in the best way. This is the kinda bar I was searching for in Nashville. I'm glad it's here in Queens. I am a music lover but I like hopping around genres. So it's nice to get my fix here. So happy to finally be making this a home away from home. These were skippable to be honest: mega thick bacon (just ok) home fries (meh) The chilaquiles (pork chorizo, salsa ranchera, crema, queso fresco, sunny up eggs) lacked flavor for a dish with so much going on. Alright - now for the drinks. I wasn't particularly impressed by the cocktail menu. Mostly everything seemed on the sweeter side so I ordered a mezcal cocktail off menu and my one criteria for the drink was for it not to be too sweat.
