LaserX of Addison is the center of operations of a local meetup group I run. The location is great! We are at the center for everyone: people from down in Joliet and people up in Palantine. The location itself is very wonderful. I grew up coming to this place for birthday parties with my friends. The location to this day is still very organized, clean, and friendly. As for the laser tag itself, they did recently upgrade their guns and they are awesome. I love the shield mode and all kinds of new features. I do have criticisms though that should be addressed: 1. As a regular client, the location is starting to get boring. People know all the secrets, all the lights, all the traps, etc. Can you please consider changing the floor layout every so often to avoid tedium? 2. The decorations inside the arena are starting to show their age. They all look great, but a lot of them are no longer functional. I think upgrading the decorations in the arena would be awesome. 3. The "towers" are a really cool addition to the laser tag games, but the blue tower can be guarded very easily. Unlike the red and yellow towers, there's only two entrances into the blue tower and it can be almost impossible to get points taking it down if two good players are camping there guarding it. 4. The obstacles are barrels and walls. I think it would be cool if the arena had more variety including different shaped barriers or more things to avoid. 5. There's 4 interactive shootable lights around the arena. I think it would be really cool if there were more of those to shoot at. 2 of them turn on lights, while 2 of them just give you points. Overall, LaserX of Addison is wonderful and I'm so happy that the location is still open. I am just on the fence with the upkeep of the arena. The laser tag system is great, but the arena itself does need some improvements. There's not enough updates to keep people wanting to come back to see what's different. read more

This is a great family venue, with an arcade in the lobby that leads into the laser X arena. The issue that I had with the experience was that some of the equipment was not responding once we had entered the arena. I'm not sure how the ventilation works inside, but it was also very warm and humid during each round. Won't be returning any time soon, but I'm sure others may have an enjoyable time. We hosted our son's (8yr old) boys birthday party here. It was clean and well organized. They have an awesome lazer tag stadium and good equipment. It was perfect for the boys. We have a large group that comes here monthly. While we were playing today, I smashed my foot on a piece of equipment that had been broken the previous round. Kind of the last man standing situation going on here. The Chicago area used to have lots of fun laser tag places like this, starting with Photon back in the 80s. Laser Zone, Q Zar, I can't remember the others as they had similar names. They started disappearing in the second decade of the 21st century and COVID took out Laserquest leaving only the venerable Lazer X. The new trend are more realistic combat training style laser games that are less "tag;" less sci fi, and more like an indoor warfare sort of experience. I think they are both fun, but this sort of place is my true favorite. Unlike other laser tag places, Lazer X is open most of the time, most days, from afternoon to evening. All the other places suffer from staffing shortages and have very limited hours. That leaves this place often too busy to handle casual walk in customers. Call ahead to make sure there isn't already a party booked. Very reasonable pricing. read more

This place helped saved my date night! Originally I wanted to go somewhere else but the place I wanted to go to was sold out. I took a shot in the dark at this place and you know what. LOVE this establishment! My daughter and I have been there a few times prior, but last night we had her 9th birthday party and it was a blast!!!! We did the 4-545pm party which was absolutely perfect. Mike made the booking extremely easy and provided all the information I needed to know. He was very easy to work with and responded promptly to all my questions. The day of the party we had a party host Shane who was also amazing and very patient. We had over 20 (loud and excited) kids and mike and Shane handled them beautifully. Pizza is ordered from next door- since I am admittedly over the top with food, I ordered extra pizza for parents and just in case, but the amount they were planning on ordered would have been enough. The flow of the party was excellent and all the kids, parents and especially my daughter raves about how amazing it was!!!! read more

I had a great experience with this company. It's always good when you can have a smooth experience from beginning to end. I called last minute to place a reservation on a Saturday for my sons bdady. They didn't have my requested date initially. But when I told them that it was for special situation and that I'd just had a baby a few days before, which is why I procrastinated so much, they called me back with a Friday date. I took that date. I got there and they took care of everything for me. I literally only needed to bring cake and candles. They have a chaperone of sorts that deals with all the kids. At the end of the day, I'd have to say that he reasonable price, the call back with a day that was comparable to the day that I asked for, and they fact that they did everything for me once I arrived made it all an A+ experience. read more

Let me preface by saying myself and group of friends are all adults. We came here for a friends birthday and it was a great time! The vibe was nostalgic- took me right back to the 90s. It was a reasonably priced experience. I wish the actual game was more black light and neon - it was kind of just a darkly lit big room maze and the vests we were wearing are what provided the lights. We were the last group of the night and the employees shooed us out of there so fast as soon as our last game was up. I could tell they were so over us, but the group had a good time. read more

What's great about Lazer X is that it's small enough that you can have the place to yourselves for a couple hours with your friends and not be bothered by anyone else. Try to hit it on a weekday and you'll more than likely be the only customers there - which can work to your advantage. The guy behind the counter was really friendly and helpful and even let us play a couple games of air hockey for free because it got stuck the first time. We also got to run around the lazer tag arena with just us, laughing and acting like dorks. It was much more elaborate inside than I thought, dressed up with aliens, toxic waste cannisters, and futuristic designs. The music was also hilarious - it seemed like some industrial mix from 1996 or the mortal kombat soundtrack. Although it is small, it can seem like you've rented out the whole place just for yourselves. We need to support the lazer tag franchise or they'll all disappear! read more

We had a wonderful birthday party for my 10 year old son yesterday! The location is great and easy to find. The facility consists of party rooms, arcade and the laser tag arena. Party rooms are just enough space (we had 24 people). The arcade has up to date games and is small enough to see all kids while playing. The laser tag arena was fun and I even got lost inside at one point! The party flow worked really well and it was the easiest to just bring the cake/candles, some balloons and party favors. They knew exactly how much to order for pizza and we even had extra. It was perfect, thank you to the excellent staff! read more

The first game I played was fine but in the second my gun was not working and they were not able to fix it when I asked. I asked for a refund and was treated rudely and given a pass to play again (which I will never be using). There are plenty of other higher quality laser tag places in the Chicagoland area. Five stars! We came here to check it out for my kid who is turning 8 and wanted a birthday party place. We arrived on a weeknight so it was quiet. Shane the employee was super helpful and explained all the party packages and pricing. Super affordable and the games last 20 minutes each. We asked him to play with us (just the 3 of us) so we would have more fun as two teams of two. The arcade was huge and fun and my kid won this cool minecraft sword. My son loves lazer tag, so taking him there for his birthday is a no brainer. I tried to reserve a party but was unlucky with reservations. So we went anyway the staff was very friendly and helpful. There equipment was well cared for. During one game one trigger broke by the next game they had it fixed. They have many more but they repaired it promptly. Attended a birthday party here. Location is small but was perfect for 8yr olds. They also have a small arcade with games and chances for prizes. All the kids received a score card from their laser tag game that was a big hit. They were all comparing scores. We came here totally on a whim when we had to wait for a movie over at Marcus Cinema. They are literally within walking distance. I didn't even know this place existed! It is a small arcade with a few games and very little concessions (no alcohol for adults), but I didn't come here for that. I wanted the lazer tag. We paid $15 each for 3 games. Each game is about 20 minutes long, so I thought it was well worth it. It's not a huge arena (there's a small upstairs and downstairs with obstacles). Each game was different - the first was everyone for themselves, the second we had 2 teams, and the third we had 3 teams. I thought it was a lot of fun. This place is great for kids (parties or just hanging out). I wish they had an 'adults only' game so that we didn't always have to be paired up with the kids. It could also use a a little updating and cleaning. But I would definitely come back! read more

This is a smallish lazer tag arena , with limited concessions and a smaller arcade. It's big enough to get your lazer on , but if there are more than 30 people here , I can see it getting claustrophobic. The arena is decent sized and pretty fun to play, the staff seemed competent enough. Nothing stood out to put this place over the top , but it's close to me , next to a decent Italian place and 1 minute away from the Addison theaters. read more

this place is awesome. we went the first time this past tuesday. 4 kids 2 adults. my youngest boy was freaked out and didnt want to go in. so after the first game, the owner took my boy in for a tour to show him nothing is scary. he was hooked. didnt want to leave. it is thursday and we just went back for more games. it was just us 3, so one of the workers played with us so we could do 2 v 2. they loved it. def go and have family fun here read more

We had to write a review of how fantastic Lazer X is. My daughter had her birthday party (7-8 years old) here today and it was wonderful. Mike greeted us at the front desk, we were taken care of right from the get go. Nick was our host. He was really great and patient with the kids. After laser tag, we went to party room, and Nick helped the kids with pizza and drinks. After the kids ate, we had cake. All the supplies were there. We appreciated not having to bring the plates, napkins, cups, etc. Everything was all taken care of. I highly recommend Laser X of Addison for kids parties. It was fun for both kids and adults.
