I've had many massages and I'd have to say that Randy's massage was unconventional (not inside the box). I've been having the challenge of back pain for the past few months due to job stress. I've been seeing the chiropractor several times a month as well. When I woke up on Thursday morning it was the first day that I haven't had pain in these past few months. Nada. Schedule an appointment to see this man. do it. I was involved in a rear end accident earlier this year. Did the typical chiropractor twice a week for 2 months and I thought I felt ok afterwards. Well my treatment ended and my pain returned. I had excruciating headaches and I couldn't sleep. Decided to give this guy a try. Initially I was a bit thrown off by the place but Randy's warm smile and excellent customer service made me feel as ease. this guy knows his stuff. He was able to pin point my troublesome areas no problem. 1 session with him has been more productive than the multiple chiropractic visits I've had. I've gone for massages to many places around the country (I traveled a lot for work) but this is by far the best experience I've had. Twice I've come with a neck issue. I was unable to turn or tilt my head and Randy was able to clear that up very quickly. Not only that, but I mentioned that I carry tension in my traps (upper back area). So the second time I went in with a neck issue he cleared that up and released all the tension from my upper back. I had never felt that part of my body so relaxed. I spent the following day in pure amazement at how I felt. And the work he did to help fix that neck pain showed me that he not only has extensive knowledge and skill in massage, but it extends into how the body works as a whole. I found Randy after googling myofascial release massage. I was just passing through on my way home to Palm Springs. He mentioned that he wouldn't be available until later, 5 hours, and positive attitude and eagerness in wanting to help me with my pain condition, I did indeed wait and went to see him. Very personable down to earth guy that you want to be friends with. I entered his room with a pain level of about a 5-6, upon the ending of the session I was down to about 2-3. Thank you yelpers! Due to my harsh, stressful work schedule and horrible posture and recent car accident I was in need of a deep tissue massage. I was starting to feel like I was walking like a penguin because my back and legs muscles were so stiff. I found Know Knots massage on a quick Yelp search. First, Randy was very personable, energetic and funny. Second, he is a muscle massage whisperer. I couldn't believe how many knots I had all over. Randy took my problem areas into consideration and definitely didn't quit until my muscles loosened up (many of them popped which I've never had happen before ). I wish I would have found this place sooner; as I would have saved countless trips and money visiting mediocre massage therapists. As a dental student who works on patients in clinic all day and lab all night, my back and neck was killing me. I've had massages before in the past but Randy works in those really tense areas that I needed work on. I agree with other reviews that this guy is just amazing at what he does, and yes, if you are looking for a relaxing feel good massage, this is NOT it because he applies pressure to relieve those stubborn knots but the end result leaves you beyond satisfied and that's what I needed. It hurt sooo good and he took a lot of my tension away in just 30 minutes. Don't get me wrong, it's not unbearably painful but it does hurt a little & is tolerable (he will ask and listen to you if you want less pressure), and he also stretched me out real good and this is coming from someone who doesn't exercise much as they should haha. He was also reasonable and professional. He was so caught up with trying to relieve knots (I needed a lot of work & was very tense) that he loss track of time and worked on me an extra 10 minutes but then told me he won't be charging for the extra 10 minutes. He earned my absolute respect because of that. I will definitely be coming back & will be telling my classmates about Randy! During the time I came, there was a $10.00 offer on Yelp :) and as a broke, going close to 400k loan dental student, I was happy about that & he was absolutely good & definitely deserves to be tipped well! Scheduled an appointment the day before for a Friday night. I was in a lot of pain in my neck and back and needed an appointment before I started my weekend. Randy was great and really stretched and used the right amount of pressure to work the knots. When my friend shared Randy's card with me over four years ago I was over the moon excited to have found a local massage therapist who actually knows how to help a client who has serious muscle issues. Randy is so knowledgable about how the relieve tightened muscles I have always been amazed. He is under priced for quality he provides. Randy has made a tremendous difference in my back and neck pain. Having suffered through several car accidents, my neck has given me trouble for the past 15 years and most massage therapists try to pound the neck knots out - causing headaches. Randy uses a much more advanced method using triggerpoints to release the tension and it is highly effective. In addition, I had back surgery with spinal fusion last year and as a result, my middle back muscles tighten up quite badly. Again, working even with the existence of titanium rods that are still in my back, Randy is able to release and relax the muscles that cause me so much trouble. I so look forward to my appointment and not only do I feel better after the appointment, but I am experiencing cumulative, over all reduction of my back pain since I started going to him for treatment.
