Hmm... where to start…read more The woman at the front desk, I believe her name was Rachel, was extremely rude when giving me the quote for a temporary crown. While I was signing the paperwork, she snatched it out of my hands, made a copy, and practically threw the copy back at me. After my root canal, I went to Dr. Smith for a temporary crown and what I was told would be a minor repair to a broken filling. The entire procedure took nearly three hours, and I left in more pain than I had after the root canal itself. My mouth was sore for almost two weeks afterward. When I returned for the permanent crown, I was told the appointment would take 30-45 minutes at most. Instead, I was in the dental chair for two hours. After the crown was placed, my teeth were cemented together to the point that I couldn't floss between them. I'm also pregnant, so while I understood the need for one X-ray, they ended up taking four and still could not remove all of the cement between my teeth. They asked me to return in 2-3 weeks, but at this point I will not be going back. I now have to see another dentist to correct the issue. Additionally, while trying to remove the cement, the dentist flossed so aggressively against my gums and the side of my mouth that it left my mouth extremely irritated and even caused a scar on the outside of my mouth. Overall, this was one of the worst dental experiences I've ever had.

Today I have not experienced any pain at all. This' my second round having implants at Georgia Dental Implant Center. I asked how that could be possible as they are the ones that determine which they accept. Short story - No help, I was given only some company names. My estimate for a procedure was given verbally rather than listing services. The default when you're leaving your appointment is they tell you what date and time the next one is verbally, as though someone is going to remember it six months from now. You have to ask for it in writing which just comes off as cheap. How much does it cost to give a card telling me when to come back and give you money again? If you don't have insurance, they don't seem to want your business.

I had the radiograph set sent to their office and only when I was in the chair they started saying the radiographs were "grainy" and of sub par quality and that a full new set needs to be taken (costing hundreds of dollars more). I was only there for a routine teeth cleaning visit, no root canal, crown or even injection into the nerve roots was required. The female dentist refused to proceed with exam or cleaning unless I had a full new set of radiographs taken, subjecting me to completely unnecessary ionizing radiation when they had a full set including panoramic view taken less than a year ago. I feel this is a financially predatory practice policy that subjects the patient to unnecessary radiation. You should be able to trust your dentist, however, I would not trust them with any of their care recommendations after seeing how money focused they are with a routine teeth cleaning visit.

I lived in the Hickory Flat area for 15 years and my wife and I used them during that time. When we relocated to Cartersville in 2017, we started at a local dentist here, but after two years of emotional and physical torture, I decided to make the 40 minute drive back to Dameron, and boy, am I glad I did. What a difference. The office is beautiful and extremely well maintained. The staff is superb. The hygenists are wonderful, gentle and caring. I won't be going anywhere else from now on!
