Me and my friend got pierced here last night and while the guy who did them was very nice and funny, our piercings were super crooked. I got my septum done and I have to take it out once it's healed enough because of how off centered it is. What a waste of $40. I live in Keller and all the tattoo shops around here don't charge nearly that much for a septum piercing. Kind of over priced considering how they turned out. What a shame. read more

Had a Really great experience here getting some work done. Searched for about a week for an artist I felt comfortable with. Got a really great piece done by Steveo- out of all my tattoos his work is probably the best. Good tattoos aren't cheap and cheap tattoo's aren't good but the price was very very reasonable. I can't imagine why this place doesn't have more reviews?? It is always packed when I drive by and my guy here is always busy. Don't let the exterior fool you- there is a lot of great work done here in the heart of the Fort Worth Stockyards. OK- don't let the interior throw you off either- it's darker than other shops and full of movie memorabilia- but only all the awesome movies that I assume the owner loves. So my sister and I have been talking about getting matching tattoos for a few years now- we got a wild hair the other night and I said let me call and see if my buddy Hector is working- and he was so we cruised over the stock yards and dropped in the Knuckle Up. Now I haven't seen Hector since he was at a different shop so this was my first time in the joint. My sister had a tattoo done here when it was Lone Star Tattoo quite a few years ago. All the artists were buzzing away in their stalls but we were still warmly greeted by Drago (he sits in the middle). I popped my head into Hectors area and we chatted- with the girl he was tattooing also. This shop is very laid back and welcoming and you can feel comfortable coming here to get anything done. I will say this- you get what you pay for- I don't know what the shop minimum is but don't come strutting in thinking you can get a sleeve for $100 bucks.. you want quality work that will be on you forever than cough up the cash! I've only been once and my 4 stars is based mainly on the artist we had- Eric. He used to work around the corner so we have worked with him twice before. This place was clean (even the bathroom- ha!) and very in line with what you would expect from a tattoo shop- loud music, dark lighting, very cool decor. The prices were very reasonable, especially considering its in the Stockyards area. There were only 2 people working when we went, but it was New Year's Day so perhaps that is why. We had an appointment, but at least 3 people walked in while we were waiting for our turn and left due to the wait. There were also about 5 people waiting their turn when we left 2 hours later. Bottom line- make an appointment. They also do piercings and the artist we worked with was cash only. But we knew this and were prepared which is good because there is not an ATM on site (or if there was I totally missed it). read more

The shop has going through a transformation for the better and its a clean and professional environment. Ive always felt comfortable and confident about bringing family and friends here. I make a trip from the mid cities to come here and I wouldnt hesitate to travel further if need be. So far Ive gotten Japanese but dont see any limits here. read more

I went to this place last summer with my friends to get new piercings. We talked to the guy at the front about what piercings we wanted and he had us fill out paperwork. With the paperwork, he also stated that we needed to buy his jewelry for our piercings that were not part of the tattoo shop. (he said it was his side business) He told us not to tell his boss because he would get mad. We thought nothing of it and proceeded with the piercings. Three weeks later, my friends and I could not get our piercings to heal and we came to realize that we received the wrong jewelry with the certain piercings that we got. The jewelry was not medical grade and they were too small for our ears. I had to go to another tattoo shop and get my piercings stretched to the correct size and piercing.... trust me it's sucked so bad. People, beware of incorrect and fraud jewelry. read more

I have been here a good few times and was shocked to not find it on yelp last night when i was there. The Artist here are amazing on alot of thier work. get them to draw you somthing up and see how it turns out. Me and my wife both have had work done here and have not had a bad one yet. This shop takes walk ins, at least for piercings which was really nice and fit my schedule. The piercer was a woman with strawberry blonde curly hair. I can't recall her name though! She answered all of my questions as I debated between a septum or vertical labret. I eventually decided on getting a septum ring and chose the option to UPGRADE it! Don't waste your money on the piercing upgrade. I've had this septum ring for less than 12 hours and I've had TWO balls lost from this "upgraded" jewelry. The first loss was replaced no questions asked, which was awesome. Second loss happened in Deep Ellum so I said screw it, and hit up a piercer down there. The balls he gave me (not like that, y'all!) fit perfectly and have stayed on FOR GOOD. read more

Go see Ron. He's fantastic. After my grandmother passed away, I knew I wanted to get out "saying" on my foot. He helped me with sizing, spacing, and orientation on my foot. As we inked, he made sure to check to make sure I was okay pain-wise and even offered stopping halfway through for a break. It turned out perfectly. I never imagined it would look so realistic. Seriously!! Went in on Friday the 13th. It was DEAD, with good reason. Asked about piercings. The girl came out and said that she didn't touch people's "junk" for less than $150! Guess she doesn't respect her CHOSEN profession. I know hookers that are cheaper than that Used to love the former shop that was there, will never go back there! read more

Knuckle Up is by far one of my favorite tattoo shops in the area. I've been going to Drago since 2006, and I still frequent his shop when I have a chance. Of all the tattoo shops I have been to, I can say Knuckle Up is cleanest, most friendly and interesting shop I have been to. When asked by friends who want tattoos where to go, I always recommend Knuckle Up to them. Drago's tattooing is amazing, and I'm always a fan of the results when I don't know exactly what I want, he knows how to wow his customers. I have refused to go to any other shops in Texas. I've gotten THREE tattoos here before the ownership change. Drago and his artists were kick ass. All of my tattoos came out AMAZING. Decided to give the new a shot. HORRIBLE IDEA. My brother and I went in for yin and yang tattoos. The guy had a decent book and said he'd been tattooing for 20 years...I though well this shiz is being stenciled and both a solid color, pretty hard to fuck up. WRONG. My brother's outline is crooked, and both of our coloring is just awful. Keep in mind this isn't either one of our first times, so yes we did everything your supposed to do. I got my first tatttoo done here by Cam & I LOVE IT!!!! He & the owner Drago are sweet as can be. Both are wonderful artists! Anytime anyone asks where to get work done... I tell them to go here. It may be a bit of a drive from where I live... but it is definitely worth it! I absolutely adore this place & will be back to get my back piece done because this is the only place I'll trust to do such a meaningful piece for me... As for the previous review regarding Drago... I've known him for a little over a year.. & he isn't close to anything that they said. He really is a great guy & a wonderful artist. But this really has nothing to do with someones opinion of the owner.. if you don't like him... you don't have to deal with him. But as for artistry... both Cam & Drago I will... & do recommend to people. LOVE this place!!! read more

horrible, the girl who pierced my belly button couldnt see correctly or something and was always swaying her body . then i told her i was going to cry and she said that was fine , but when i began cryingshe was complaining about it. my friend was supper pissed and so was i . Went into this tattoo parlor a couple days ago for a piercing. First thing I told them was that I was very allergic to nickel but and wanted to find out if I got a tongue piercing if that would be a problem. They told me they used surgical stainless steel and there was no nickel in it. I continued to ask questions and the guy there proceeded to act like I was an idiot for being worried about it having nickel in it and kept repeating me that only cheap metal from like walmartt would have nickel in it there was no way his would. So i went ahead and got the piercing. Less than 24 hours later i was covered head to toe with a rash that continuously got worse to the point where even my eyelids started swelling up even after I took the piercing out. Called the place back to talk to them about it and they told me there was no way that was from the piercing because it would not have nickel in it and i must have made it up in my head to where i got a rash. I ended up having to go the emergency room an hour later due to the reaction from the piercing. i will never go to this place again he was very rude and unprofessional. Found out from the doctor that surgical stainless steel has 8-12 percent of nickel in the metal and it should have been titanium they used instead of surgical stainless steel that when i asked for that instead he just blew me off and went ahead with the stainless steel. WORST PLACE EVER!!!! twenty dollar piercing turned into an emergency room bill. read more
