The staff was incredibly friendly, which really made the adventure worthwhile. We spent a good amount of time snorkeling, it was actually more than enough since the majority of the passengers returned to the boat before the time was up. The buffet at the end of the trip was absolutely delicious. Unfortunately we did not see any dolphins or whales, but that is not their fault. I love the fact that the boat was not that packed and there's plenty of room to lounge and sit. They could've packed more people, but they didn't which is a huge upside. Don't forget the open bar!!!!

10/10. Staff is awesome! Super fun crew. We had the best day today on the morning snorkel boat tour. It's our 3rd year in a row choosing this tour during our annual vacation to Oahu. The kids love it as much as the adults! I'm sure there are plenty of tours like this around the island but we don't even want to try the others. Hands down our favorite part of our vacation is this tour seeing the amazing fish, reef and turtles out in nature. Great lunch and drinks provided as well. Highly recommend this catamaran crew and tour. We tell everyone we meet to check it out. Sad to leave the islands now but -See you salty pirates next year!

One of our favorite excursions we did in Hawaii. We actually did the snorkeling excursion in the am, and then the whole family did the sunset cruise the same day. Such special memories and so much fun. The staff was badass and so fun; drinks were great; food was pretty decent too. One of the divers snorkeled down and got an octopus and we got to pet the octopus. Such a cool experience, and all on a catamaran! This is located at the Ko Olina Bay Area and very convenient from our hotel that was located next door. Once again can't praise the staff enough- they actually were the same crew for both and kind of felt bad for them having such a long day, but they had high spirits and made the best of it- very personable and made the whole family wanting to go again!

Doing snorkeling from the catamaran was my favorite activity that I've done in Hawaii! The snorkeling was amazing and I saw and fed hundreds of fish! They also took safety very seriously on the boat and I felt very at ease with the crew. I did end up getting sick from the boat rocking (forgot my Dramamine) and the crew members gave me some essential oils, ginger chews and ginger ale to help me recover. They were super friendly and helpful! Highly recommend them.

Mid day snorkeling tour. Highly recommend. We walked from Aulani. crew was magnificent! I like nice people, and the crew was as personable as could be. We were a little bummed hearing folks on morning boats had no luck with whale sightings. After snorkeling , then an outstanding sandwich and drinks , it was time to head in. Then , wham! Whales all around the place. It was very exciting , and magical . We would do this again if we returned!

Had a great sunset sailing experience with Captain Jake and the crew! They were super helpful, friendly, and also chill. There was a great sunset to top it off. I would highly recommend!

The three of us went on a two hour sunset cruise sailing out of the Ko Olina marina last Thursday. We conveniently walked over from the Marriott. It took us about 11 minutes. The catamaran cruise was scheduled to set sail 4:30p-6:30p. Everyone was checked in by one of the crew members and then we were allowed onboard. Heads up - it's shoeless. All shoes off. So be aware. Food wise- a nice charcuterie in a box with three drinks per person. The two tropical drinks offered were of their own concoction- the naked pirate and the mermaid. The naked pirate was similar to a mai tai, and the mermaid was like a blue Hawaii. We liked the naked pirate more. Because we enjoyed the tropical drinks I can't recall what else was being offered. The catamaran was nice and cozy. It sailed along the coast and we saw our resort. The crew members were very attentive and made sure we always had a drink. I don't think anyone drank more than the three allotted but it was no big deal. The sunset was beautiful. Once it went down the captain headed back to the marina. It was a nice way to spend an evening.

Wow! I couldn't imagine a better experience. Captain Todd and the crew took great care of their guests. All of the crew members were genuinely happy and excited to share knowledge of the sea and the life below. We were able to enjoy seeing dolphins, turtles, fish, and an octopus named Octavia. The amount of time spent was perfect. The food and drink served were all delicious. I wholeheartedly recommend this experience to anyone of any age!

This experience was definitely one of the best parts of my first-time visit to Hawaii! The lovely cruise along the Ko Olina coast of Oahu was stunning and the sunset was breathtaking! I loved the catamaran and sitting in the front was amazing and very romantic. The cocktails and snacks were perfect and the staff were warm and friendly. Music playing in the background added to the overall atmosphere! I highly recommend this fabulous experience!

Ko Olina Ocean Adventures Sunset Cruise 2/2026

We scheduled a Sunset Catamaran Cruise (w/cocktails and charcuterie) as part of our week celebration of our 10th anniversary and first ever trip to Houston (2/26/26). It was EVERYTHING we could have hoped for! The whole crew was amazing, friendly, and very accommodating. The Captain was awesome and great attitude and made everyone feel safe and welcomed. And the views were BEYOND stunning! My husband even saw a couple "whale breeches". If we had time, I would have cruised with them every evening. Absolutely AMAZING time and highly suggested! Thanks Team Ko Olina Ocean Adventures for the beautiful core memories!

Customer service exceeded my expectations, the entire crew were young/younger. The catamaran sail was fantastic and crews were attentive to liquid intake. Superb in overall experience seeing the sunset sail.

Love a good sunset on the ocean. My husband purchased the sunset cruise out of Ko'olina for my birthday. Same company does snorkeling trips during the day on the catamaran. They cruised out past Electric beach area which offered views of the westside mountains and coastline. They entertained us with lively music, appetizers and drinks. Enjoyed the views and chatting with other passengers. Of course the main attraction was the beautiful golden views of the sunset . The staff were all very friendly and made sure everyone was taken care of. If you are local or tourist it's a pleasant couple hour cruise.

    LOVED the colors at sunset!

MANA sunset cruise from Ko Olina - the absolute highlight of our trip!!!…read more We are no strangers to Catamaran excursions - trips in the British Virgin Islands, Greece, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. By far, Captain Travis and First Mate Taylor were exceptional, leaving no detail to chance. We were warmly greeted with a drink and were given a very thorough safety briefing. Both were meticulous in their duties to their craft as well as to their guests. The catamaran was immaculate, an outstanding demonstration of the care and maintenance it receives - impressive for a 2008 Cat. Thanks MANA and crews for your care and concern. We had only 5 of us aboard ( they allow a maximum of only 6) which really enhanced the experience. As we got underway drinks were served and then came what I thought was going to be a sampling of local snacks. No, it was a full dinner made by Taylor that was some of the freshest, best food we have had on the Island, followed by a dessert second to none. The other guests dietary restrictions were taken into consideration and we sailed (and for a portion of the trip we were under full sail & not motoring) around with soft Hawaiian reggae playing. The two hours flew by.... We were regaled with stories of the Islands and some very interesting facts. Sure there are less expensive, far more crowded sunset tours... but NOTHING compares to this one. It was worth every cent. When we return we will have already booked this trip before we board our again! Do yourself a favor, splurge on a really personal Hawaiian experience and book this trip. You will be richly rewarded & have memories for years to come! There may be no traffic jams on the extra mile... but you will find on this excursion, Captain Travis & First Mate Taylor are on the extra mile & demonstrate what the extra mile should look like! A very important note - we recommend if you are coming from the Waikīkī area that you plan on leaving early and planning a light lunch at Ko Olina - the Monkeypod, or one of the restaurants in the hotels. The traffic leaving Waikiki in the afternoon is horrible in the afternoon and could take several hours to navigate to Ko Olina.

The crew took us out on a small glass bottom boat and once we got moving it felt like we were heading straight into our own ocean show. The weather was spot on with bright sun, calm water, and a comfortable breeze that made the whole ride easy and really enjoyable. Before we left, the captain and his assistant very politely warned us that we might not see whales because it is still the early part of the season. They gave us the choice to go anyway, and thank goodness we did because these whales clearly had no interest in hiding. We saw several of them breach like they were trying to win style points, splash around like they were in a water park, and show off just enough to make every single person on the boat start cheering. Ian and Kai were our guides and both deserve a medal for top tier ocean adventure hosting. They explained what to watch for, gave some fun knowledge about the island, tossed in whale facts that made us feel like instant marine biologists, and most importantly they actually found the whales. They kept the whole thing fun, relaxed, and full of moments that made this our first Hawaiian whale watching cruise and one we will never forget. I would absolutely do this tour again. Highly recommend it to anyone staying in Ko Olina. The short walking distance to Aulani is the cherry on top.
