I'll give the pros and cons and you can decide for yourself. Pros Nice staff - we didn't care for the site we were assigned and they quickly gave us a much better site. Since the first site was in the middle of the lot in front of the store with no shade it wasn't hard to improve it. Clean restrooms - nice and clean facilities but usually crowded. 3 stalls and 3 showers in the one close to us was usually busy. Great store- open daily until 10pm is a nice convenience as well as having a Safeway 5 mins away. Activities for kids - if you have little ones they will love this place. They have daily activities for the kiddies as well as a pool and a path down to the river for a swim. There are basketball hoops, volleyball, playground and field to kick a ball. Proximity to town- very close to downtown Cons No space- they put a camp site in every nook and cranny they could. There are RV sites, tent sites, cabins all smashed together very close to one another. As well as in front of and behind. It felt like we were on top of each other. The roads throughout are one way and narrow so not enough room for a car to drive along side a walker or bike rider. 5 mph Too crowded- since there are so many sites and kid activities there are people and kids and dogs everywhere! We have a kid and 2 dogs so we get it but it just felt so cramped it was hard to relax. So depending on what you're looking for this may or may not be for you. If you want to get away from the busy city and want quiet nature time to spend with the family this isn't the place. If you want nonstop activities for the kids it is for you. read more

I cannot say enough great things about this place. It's well kept in every way. There's ample space for every type of camper. The staff makes being kind look easy. The General Store is well stocked and open late. The appliances in the laundry are like new. There's karaoke on Sunday & Thursday night with full family participation. The pool cleaning team is scrubbing away and sanitizing from the minute the pool area closes each night. The river is feet away, running the length of the grounds. It's wooded here, providing shade and true camp ambience. There are cabins to rent, and WiFi all over. Though in the woods, a Safeway grocery store is a half block away. If you have little kids this is a great place to camp! With decent bathrooms, free showers, playgrounds, on site activities, a coffee stand and shop there are plenty of amenities. Love having the pool there and also River access is perfect! Lots of ways to cool down during hot summer camping. With a 4 and 8 year old, camping here is perfect. Proximity to town is also amazing, I would consider it walking distance for bigger kids and adults. Also pet friendly, and they gave our pup a dog biscuit on check in . The outdoor movie nights are a family favorite. Pro tip: you can order firewood and ice in the store or via text to be delivered to your campsite! You can also leave your trash bags at the edge of your site during the day and they come pick them up for you. I should disclaimer that if you want a quiet, remote camping trip, this is not it. First time staying at a KOA with our new trailer and this location didn't disappoint! Bathrooms and showers were clean. Laundry facilities are affordable and convenient especially with wet snow clothes. Staff is quick to respond through texting. Couple tips: map is a bit confusing, take a right at the big KOA sign to enter, go all the way to the back of the property to the office, it's way back, not the small building, keep going lol. Not going to lie, little bit of sticker shock at the total bill. Six nights was $840. We had an extra guest, extra $, and an extra vehicle, extra $. Read the fine print and call for clarification if you aren't sure! Because we were there in the winter most of the facilities were closed. The owner and manager is a complete and utter jerk. I would avoid this place like the plague. We called weeks in advance and asked if we could have guests for dinner for a few hours, we were having a family reunion in town. they said that would be fine. We had the dinner, and then they charged us $220 for guests after they had told us it was perfectly fine. I spoke to the owner and he refused to do anything about it and made all kinds of excuses for why we were in the wrong, even though we had it approved. He drove by in his truck at least 5 times while we had dinner, all he had to do was stop and ask what was up, but instead they stealthily tried to charge my credit card. When confronted about the charges and why he just didn't stop and ask he said he was "too busy" yet somehow had the time to fine us $220 that same night within MINUTES of our guests arriving. Stealth fines are obviously built into their business model and used to extract more $$ without authorization. Two other guests also complained about "fines" being assessed without notice the same night as us. Not a coincidence. read more

Overall, our experience at this campground was not great. The amenities are nice and the location is convenient to downtown Leavenworth, but the staff is so incredibly rude that it really takes away from the stay. Right from check-in, the tone was off. No smiles, no warm welcome, just a general feeling that we were bothering them. I believe the woman who helped us was the manager, and she couldn't have been less friendly. I couldn't wait to get out of that office. I thought maybe it was just us, but then I overheard other guests talking about how frustrated they were with the staff and how unkind they had been to them as well. It's also very expensive to stay here, and they charge you for everything, so keep that in mind. There are plenty of other campgrounds in Leavenworth, and I would strongly recommend checking one of those out instead. read more

For a KOA its just ok. When we checked in there was two people working. The one helping another customer was explaining the town and the events happening at the camp. The one checking us in just checked us in and went about there business. We bought wood and had to haul it ourselves, didn't even offer to deliver. The site for camping is not great if you want a station with power. The spots with power are all open and cramped. If you want any privacy you have to reserve a non-power spot. The showers are metal so if you go anytime outside of summer its very cold, and wierd to use. They also shut off the sink for dish washing and didn't have any alternatives for us. I noticed some of the staff where very snarky and unfriendly in this interaction. I really liked the lower dog park though. The upper one is just an open area but the lower one near the river has places for the dogs to run and explore. read more

The campground is barely mediocre. HORIBLE customer service and they all hate their job. They'll yell at you for anything and charge you for every little thing. Was sitting down watching a video in silence at 12:00 in their public space and was threatened to be removed from the campsite if I didn't leave. Not even a warning. My dog was off leash and dint go up to anyone, stayed on my property, was asked to leave and had to make a plea to stay and ended having to go 7 miles just to cage her elsewhere. If you haven't been to this particular KOA in, say, the last 5 years, then going there now will definitely be a shock. It's changed dramatically. The office/store has been upgraded and carries more gift and souvenir type items, as well as sundries, staple foods, beer and wine. Prices are reasonable, but lines are s-l-o-w. The pool and hot tub areas are adequate. The pool is heated but not much (I did not find it enjoyable) and the hot tub fits at most 6 adults. They close early- the pool at 7pm, the hot tub at 8. Hot tub is ages 18 and over only. The RV area is basically a parking lot. No trees. No privacy. No real fire pits, just grills. Each spot has a little patio and some chairs, but you're right next to your neighbor and they pack you in there. Unfortunately, there's no site guaranteed, so no matter how early you book and request, you might just be out of luck. They added a lot more cabins, and we stayed in a deluxe one with a bedroom, bunk, living area, kitchen and bathroom- The description says "full kitchen", but be aware that they do NOT have a small oven inside. They have a gas stovetop with three burners, but the one in our cabin wasn't working properly so we had to manually light it with a lighter. There's a small gas BBQ on the deck and a small grill out front with no privacy. No place for a campfire, just FYI. Patio table with four chairs. The kitchen had a small microwave, a regular refrigerator and freezer, nice dishes and glasses and basic utensils that were clean. You are expected to wash what you use and they provide dish soap and a sponge for you to do so. I felt as though our cabin showed some sign of wear. One of the cabinet drawers was rickety, and the furnishings were a little banged up (not bad), and while I didn't mind that, I noticed a lot more spider webs than I'd expect, and our bathroom wall had blood spatter on it from a previous occupant. I did bring that to the management's attention at checkout. The description also states "full bath with shower and tub" which we thought would be great for our kids. Alas, there's no tub. There's a shower with benches, but the spout is low and not suitable for tall people, and it has a shower curtain instead of a door, so difficult to use for kids who are excited and not easy to contain. Plenty of hot water until someone turns on the sink in the kitchen. It would have been nice to see a list of amenities that were accurately stated on the website, as we would have been able to avoid bringing literally half of what we packed. I will list what I remember for you: Bunk beds come with a fleece blanket and pillows. Queen bed come fully made with sheets and comforter and pillows. Futon folds into full bed in main room. Towels are provided (6 large ones) --- Wish they would have told us. We found them at check out. Small shampoo/conditioner/lotion/face wipes are provided. Small wall mounted blow dryer. Medicine cabinet. No robe or slippers (I didn't expect one). No real closet, just a bar in the rooms with a few hangers. No dressers or drawers. Enough plates/bowls/glasses utensils for about 6 people Knife block Small cutting board Spatula, serving spoon, scissors One extra garbage bag TV with remote (no DVD player or otherwise) in the front room only. Alarm clock. Bible. Keurig with two regular and one decaf pods No bottled water Two wine glasses Small dining table with three chairs Outdoor porch swing Gated and fenced deck Please note that the curtains in the cabins are almost sheer and provide no blackout whatsoever. It will be necessary to drape blankets or towels over all windows if you require darkness to sleep. There's ceiling fans, heat, and A/C. There's a playground with swings, slides, and a few other things, and it's been well maintained. Large outdoor chess set with pieces that are 2-3 feet tall. There's a shuttle (at times) that runs every other hour to downtown Leavenworth. They show a movie at 8p in the meadow on a large screen. You can walk to the river on a well maintained and lighted path. There's free showers in the main restroom area for those without them in their cabins. They serve breakfast on the weekends which consists of coffee, OJ, pancakes and bacon. $5 for adults (three pancakes and two strips of bacon) or $3 for kids (one pancake, one bacon). Was surprisingly good. Friendly staff. You bag up your trash and set it curbside at any time and staff retrieves it for you throughout the day. All in all, it's a fun place, but your assigned spot will definitely affect the outcome of your stay. Cabin KL11 starts a row of deluxe cabins and those are in a good spot, close to everything but not right on the main road. I haven't actually been to the site but based off of email interactions with the current management, I would never stay here! I'm just sharing my experience so future guests can know what they may be dealing with. We had a reservation get cancelled 12 days before our scheduled check in date. It was for multiple families, we were flying in from out of state for this. I made a comment about the booking process that wasn't to the owners liking. They immediately sent a passive aggressive text about the comment. They said it would be added to "my profile" My comment was that the koa membership was misleading and I asked about the fee to book cabins next to eachother. Moving forward, any interaction I had with them , my "negative comment" was brought up. We exchanged a couple emails, in one of them I asked if this passive aggressive, unprofessional behavior was typical for their business. I then received an email saying my reservation was cancelled. My money was refunded, which I am thankful for. Given the tone of emails and this campgrounds reputation of similar treatment, which is evident from these reviews, we were relieved to take our money and plans elsewhere. We love here it. Have stayed 4 years. It's expensive, but everything is overpriced in Leavenworth. Camping here is hundreds if not a thousand less than a resort in town. This campground has a short trail down to the river and is one of the best swimming spots in the state. Our favorite thing for relaxation is the swimming at the river. Definitely use Comfort Station 2 showers and bathrooms. They are nearly brand new and extremely clean. The showers and bathroom near the office are frequently dirty since these are close to the pool and river (sand). This is an excellent campground for families with kids of all ages. Always some sort of activity going on for kids. It's a safe place to let kids roam and explore on bikes and such. It's loud with kids but really quiets down after 10pm. That said, if you are looking for a place to be loud, drink, and blast music around a campfire, this isn't that type of place. It's relaxing at night. Stargazing is beautiful at night with being able to faintly see the Milky Way. Tons of stars!! Coffee station serves great espresso and affordable. The mini mart/office has all the drinks and snacks. Safeway is about .5 miles away. A variety of sites from luxury to primitive. Take your pick. The workers are all friendly and helpful. I'm perplexed by the negative reviews of the crew. One of the best camping sites in eastern Washington, especially if you're new to camping and prefer a few amenities while experiencing the outdoors. The campsites are clean, spacious ( depending on each category) and well serviced ( trash pick up and assistance ). The restrooms are cleaned occasionally, but of course it's a campsite and if you use the restroom at 4 or 5 in the morning, it's not going to be in the best state. There is a convenience shop at the check in but the camp is right next to a Safeway, so I recommend going there for anything since it's cheaper and has a better variety. Other amenities include a movie viewing site ( they have 9 pm showings every now and then), a hot tub for adults ( still being renovated) and a few trails to the river. The campsite's proximity to Leavenworth also gives the campers the option to experience the outdoors and be close to a quaint German town at the same time. The campsite is also a 30-45 minute drive from some really good hikes. ( 8 mile, colchuck lake etc.) Last but not the least: the network connectivity is great for T-mobile. LTE works here! It's really not what they hype it out to be. Pro: has a playground Has a pool Has a tie dye activity for kids Has a build-a-buddy activity for kids Has a small store on site Close to Safeway Cons: Not enough big grassy areas for kids to safely play Yet my kids were scolded by the manager that they can't play in a certain area because it's near a 2ft retaining wall. The girls were literally just sitting and playing with their slime. The same manager also scolded our friend and her 2yr old for cleaning rocks in the actual rock washing mining station. (We had purchased 3 bags and the 2yr old was picking up rocks from the mining station and playing in there and she was told to not let him throw rocks and clog the drain, which is not what he was doing). Pool was murky The shower floors are flooded with dirt & water, I had to tip toe and try to keep my things from getting dirty. The bathroom sink is a poor design because there is no large counter space to set down items had to bring a utility bucket to keep items dry (The do have small floating shelves away from the sink lol but literally not useful) No trees for hammocks, 80% of the sites are just open concrete. Sites are extremely close, no privacy, and no photos on website to show elevation or what the area looks like. So we were in for a disappointing surprise. Nowhere safe to bike unless your kids are like 10yrs+, we saw several kids biking in circles in the parking lot where people check-in but large trucks and trailers need to pull through there and every driver looked stressed just trying not to hit a kid. Map on website is not accurate. We booked RV site 60, and apparently they actually have another RV site only for employees right next to site 60 so we had the pleasure of having a large RV right next to us, in between our friends in tent site 41 & 42. I was really upset when we arrived and she assured me she'll have the manager call me, guess who never called... yep shocker. Seems really deceiving to have a site map and not label that you'll have a large fifth wheel parked next to you taking up the only grassy lawn nearby. ALSO, if you book tent site 41 & 42 make sure you don't have children. Because there is no secure border to the street below and it's a death trap if they fall off the edge. Most parents like to go camping to allow their kids to have freedom and explore. This is just not the place. We had to hover over the little ones who kept going towards the edge. Anyways, the place is fine if you know what you're getting. So go with low expectations and you'll be fine. All the adults joked that they're running a prison, because of the constant "hall monitors" and so many strict rules but the place isn't in great shape. read more

Absolutely horrible office staff!! we had a third car on one of our 3 sites and definitely should have had them registered! we acknowledged that to the staff when we saw the text stating the car would be towed in 30 minutes. When my husband ran into the patrol staff he was called a liar when explaining the car had got there at 5pm (coming in from my sisters rental house for dinner) and we were busy with dinner and did not see our phone. we 100% acknowledged we should have registered the car asap but the office staff continued to call myself and my husband a liar. I absolutely love places that enforce the rules as I appreciate the calm it normally provides. however this place makes it feel like you are constantly being watched! the office had no problem calling us liars in front of everyone else in the office/store. finally a nice older man intervened and apologized to us. in my life I have never ran into someone so rude, mean, and overall horrible. we asked if it had been there ALL day, why did they wait until 6pm to text us.... beyond unprofessional, we will never be back. read more

Otherwise, you pay way too much ($400 for 4 night) for an rv site where the RV sites are one on top of the other and you put two adult with no kids, smack dab in all the kid action. We are in a location right across from the office adjoining a parking area. I feel like I'm parked in the busiest location of a Walmart parking lot. The spots are not mowed and unappealing. I don't feel the sites are too close together based on my experience of staying in multiple RV parks across the country. We didn't stay in a cabin but they look nice from the outside. Some are more secluded than others. I'm happy to see the kids activities available and kids running around. I expect to see that at a KOA like this. Didn't have any problems with staff. Staff was great for us. We stayed in a premium site that was nearly $100 per night - the most expensive RV site we've ever stayed in. For this price I expect to be pampered a little considering we're just borrowing a slab of concrete and a small amount of electricity. My biggest complaint was how narrow the sites were. We have a medium sized RV with three slides and we barely fit. Our slide on the door side covered half the patio making it mostly unusable with only about 18" clearance on the other side with the slides out. For this price I'd expect the sites to be at least 6' wider so we could enjoy the patio and grill included on the site. Cable TV is decent quality compared to other RV parks. Internet is also decent. Not quite fast enough to stream Netflix but good for general surfing. Park is nice and it's a short drive or a long walk to Leavenworth. Parking in Leavenworth can be difficult, so I recommend walking if you have the time and ability. Note: Our stay was in April 2019 which is when I "penned" the above review. We had a good experience RV camping here, although the pull through site we had was wide open and near the entrance. There seemed to be some nice back-in spots around the perimeter that offered some privacy. The huge downside; WiFi was terrible, we only got it to work once or twice for any device. This was a big deal for us, we have young kids, and keeping them entertained in the mornings while we prepare for the day is a must. We also had bad cell service in the campground, which wouldn't have been a big deal if the WiFi worked. You'd think with the price we paid that the WiFi should be booming. Aside from the spotty WiFi, the entire camp ground was very clean, and they had a trash service in the morning, very nice. Full hook ups in the winter, which is great because most places don't offer that. The price was more than I'd like to pay for camping, could have stayed at a Hilton in Wenatchee for the exact same price, but I think this is mostly because of this current administration's economic policies. Anyway, I'd stay here again, hopefully it's a little less expensive next time. read more

Very disappointed. Having been to to other KOA cabins in the past in Oregon and California, we expected more. 250.00 each night is a lot of money, we could have gotten a five star hotel in the big city for that kind of money! We paid for a "Mountain-view Cabin". We had a view all right! Of a pavilion and playground plus the main office. The doors in the kitchen were literally falling apart and the cabin was dirty. Dirty linens on the bed, Hair on the bed linens, the fridge had food crumbs all over the top of it, TV didn't work properly and the kitchen table was dirty. They did move us to a newer cabin when we complained, however, the view was not much better. We now have a "comfort station" building in front of our cabin, the smell of raw sewage wafting in occasionally (there is a "dump station" within 50 yards of the cabin) and dirty linens from the previous guest that was left in a garbage bag by the front door. The WiFi is non existent and cell service is hit and miss. The office stated that they were having problems with it and were trying to fix it but it has been over 24 hours now and it just flat out doesn't work. This is an overcrowded parking lot with cabins, like other reviewers have noted. There is a major construction project right across the street - my guess is it's either a strip mall or apartments. That will be the downfall of this site in the future, as no one wants to camp out and relax with that next to you. There is a Safeway within a 1/2 mile in a strip mall already. This campground stuffs way too many sites into a very small space. The photos they show are deceiving. The rv/trailer sites are narrow and the picnic tables sit right next to the neighbors sewage dump hole. My kids didn't enjoy the koa either which says something. Seriously wish there was the ability to give zero stars.... They literally put us in a parking lot. No where for kids to play and barely enough room for camping chairs! We can't even put our awning out. The pics online are SO DECEIVING!!!!! There was no option to select a site online and they were 'completely full' when we asked to move. (I can see several open spots....) And the 'hot tub'? Just a broken, backyard, 6 person jacuzzi. I'm honestly at a loss for words. Once we got home, we reviewed our reservation. What did we do wrong? Nothing. The answer is nothing. We got screwed, we got BAIT AND SWITCHED. We booked and paid for the third nicest site (as listed online): a pull through with full hookups, a great wooded site and with beautiful views. What we got was the absolute lowest tiered site listed online. Literally the worst site possible... no one in the office cared and we weren't refunded any money. We got screwed plain and simple. Book this place with caution. You're literally at their mercy because once you get there, there's on where else to go. They know that and don't care when they bait and switch you and make you pay $80 a night for a parking spot. read more

A fight broke out between drunk people tonight across from our camp sight. The Sheriffs department resolved the issue. A blonde female KOA employee harassed me for giving a statement to the sheriff. without any COVID-19 measures being taken. Did not keep her distance and she was not wearing a mask. Asked me what camp site I was at. I answered thinking she was concerned about what happened. She began to harass me saying it's past quiet time.... I know. I was asleep before being woke up. Overpriced for the attitude the KOA staff gave me for no reason. I do not recommend this for any family. It was a traumatic altercation followed by harassment from the KOA staff. The next day I took it upon myself to resolve the issue. Danielle Akey was at the counter in the main office. I greeted her with a smile (behind my mask) even though she was not following Jay Inslee's mandated mask rule. She became defensive and threaten to kick us out of the camp site. I'm throughly disappointed with the way Danielle handled this situation. The customer is always right. Always... she is a horrible representation of the KOA staff. She needs customer service training. People skills is what she lacks. read more

KOA Pine Village Kampground - Hotels Near Me - Leavenworth, Washington

Nice KOA, but a bit overpriced compared to other places we've stayed. Was there this past May, and was the third time staying while traveling from out east to visit with our son. After leaving, I found several extra charges on my VISA. I called and left messages twice with voicemail and twice with staff members, and wasn't given the courtesy of a return call. Instead I received an email and found that they charged me for 2 days when our son visited, but didn't stay overnight. They did a partial refund without any itemized statement and failed to explain another $111.00 charge. (still never received an explanation on this amount). Makes me wonder how often they do this with other campers and it just gets passed by unnoticed??? Needless to say, we will not be back to this KOA. read more

Probably the nicest KOA around. Super clean. Expansive with many, different site options. Super friendly and attentive staff. Clean, clean, clean. Nice amenities. While not within walking distance to the main Leavenworth corridor, it is walkable to the Safeway and other essential shopping. Yes, expensive, but we felt the price was worth the experience. Water, electric and dump at sites. Book well ahead. read more
