I placed an order from Arizona for someone in NYC and I'm so pleased. The order process was very simple and online, and the selection of flowers was lovely and cheaper than many other florists in the area. The flowers were delivered on time to my friend's workplace, and even though I accidentally put my phone number down as the contact number, my friend still got them. The tulips look beautiful and exactly like they do in the example picture. I would absolutely recommend Koat Florals to people in the area!

Pretty impressed with this service! I was able to order flowers via Yelp, and I was pleasantly surprised that the flowers were delivered within 2 hours after the order was placed! Since I ordered the flowers from the west coast for a east coast recipient, I really liked that this shop emailed me the preview of finished flower arrangement before it is delivered because it just reassured me of the quality. I had previous experiences with other flower shops delivering poor quality/wrong orders, so this place definitely earns a spot in my go to book in Manhattan. Definitely recommended! read more

The address is listed as 247 W 38th Street, or the 1st floor of the Nelson Building. Don't go there. They don't exist. I also called during business hours and no one answered. The residents at the Nelson have never heard of this place. If you want to pick up a bouquet from a floral shop this is not the place. Maybe they do online orders only and it'd be nice to have that noted in google or yelp. read more

100% RECOMMEND! One week out from my Company holiday party, I needed an idea to differentiate the group of people who planned the party. I called Koat, and was absolutely clueless on what I wanted. Our Company's color is yellow, so I thought oh lets do something simple like a yellow carnation boutonniere. They steered me to the right design of two yellow baby roses, and recommended a little greenery behind it. They were extremely helpful on the phone, very responsive over follow up emails to confirm delivery & location. The day of delivery they sent me a "bloom snap" preview of your flowers! They hand delivered the flowers, and when I opened them I was absolutely blown away by how beautiful the boutonnieres were (two yellow roses, little greenery, and a little gold decoration). They also threw in 1 extra for free! Thank you so much Koat Floral! read more

I ordered Valentine's Day flowers for my wife for same day delivery, and Koat did a great job getting my order delivered by 4pm despite the craziness of the day, and the arrangement was beautiful - my wife loved it. I also spoke to the team on the phone a couple times and they were very helpful and accommodating. You're going to spend more here than at one of those flower websites, but why skimp on quality? It's worth it. read more

This is a very belated review for Koat, who managed the floral arrangements for my wedding last year. We were planning from abroad and the service provided by Sue, both during the planning process and for the event itself was outstanding. After only one face to face meeting and after seeing a photograph of my dress Sue pulled together stunning floral displays for multiple rooms, a cake and the bridal party that were elegant, full and very appropriate to our venue, all for an incredibly reasonable price and in the middle of winter. I couldn't recommend Koat more highly. read more

We picked these up the afternoon of the prom and when I asked if they could help us make them smaller or redo, they refused to help. My son and I were extremely disappointed, these were not inexpensive items and they treated us poorly. I would DISCOURAGE ANYONE from using this florist!

My first impression was that it reminded me of a food hall similar to what I experienced in various cities in Japan. The variety of foods available is impressive and you really can find it all here, from an Italian grocer to Japanese to the various food stands offering everything from BBQ to the best halvah I've ever had. And there's a Pearl River Mart and other places to find gifts and souvenirs. My favorite of this ilk is Muji Market, which has all the Japanese amazing things! Also of note: very clean bathrooms. It reminds me of the bathrooms at Grand Central, a lot of stalls, sinks in the center, only much, much more pleasant. I'll be back as soon as I can. It's silly that I didn't come here when I actually lived in New York.

Wanted to highlight a few more stores here for this review: - Moon Man Foods: a Brooklyn-based company, they have a small stand about a third of the way thru the market (walking east to west), selling southeast Asian kaya jam, which is coconut-based and contain eggs, coconut milk, sugar, starch, and salt. They come in pandan, ube, and Java palm sugar (aka gula melaka) flavors. - Pearl River Mart and Pearl River Mart Foods: back in the day they used to be located in SoHo on Broadway, though rising rents made them relocate, and I'm glad they're still around! They carry all sorts of Asian-inspired decor, serving ware, stationery, and their "Foods" location downstairs is combination of Asian grocery, bubble tea (Milk & Tea), and Korean and Chinese snack/takeout stands (Kimbap Lab and Mao's Bao's). - Muji Market: this is a smaller location that carries a narrower assortment than your average Muji (house wares, basic apparel, accessories, kitchenware, snacks), though they have a full cafe serving coffee and matcha, simple Japanese lunch items like bowls, sandwiches and bento. Cafe prices seem a little higher probably due to the location. - gallery art: there is a small whitewashed hallway gallery of maybe a couple dozen small pieces by local artists, featuring NYC-centric photos, sketches, paintings, multi-media. Found this fun and entertaining!

I would highly recommend Koat Floral. I ordered a flower arrangement for my mother for Valentine's Day and was so pleased with the result (my mother was over the moon!). The bouquet was full with the right variety of flowers well balanced by leafy accents. They seemed healthy, fresh and bright. The whole thing was tastefully put together, even down to the container. The woman I spoke to was professional and attentive and gave me something that was exactly right for the occasion. My mother said that the flowers were fragrant and have lasted a long time as well! read more

I ordered flowers for my grandma from Koat Floral. She underwent surgery and I wanted to give her nice flowers to cheer her up. I mentioned the occasion to the florist and she came up with this brilliant arrangement. They sent me a picture once the arrangement was ready. It looked so pretty, vibrant and cheerful - exactly the kind of arrangement I was looking for. When my grandma received it in the hospital, she was extremely happy and excited! :) Also, within NYC, they have a flat rate $10 delivery fee, which is cheaper than most others Highly recommend this florist. read more

I never ever write reviews, ever...but I felt like everyone should know about this place! I didn't know exactly what I wanted but the lady I spoke to over the phone, kindly and courteously explained everything I needed to know and helped me make my decision on what kind of piece I wanted her to create. Prices were reasonable, customer service was exceptional and most importantly, both the recipient and I were more than satisfied with the flower arrangement. I was very impressed how Koat floral was able to maintain excellent customer service through the web. The arrangement was beautiful and lasted a very long time. It also didn't require a lot of clean up once the flowers had started to die. Located in a rather hodge podge set of buildings in midtown Manhattan is Alisan Florist. Instead, what you get here are gorgeous flowers and plants that are fresh and smell great. The shop is beautifully laid out. When you walk in, the order counter and cashier are to the right. To the left is a wide variety of flowers and plants. Beyond that is a prep area with even more selection. The family that runs this shop is ultra friendly and very good at putting together arrangements. I've gone in and picked one flower, asked for a bouquet assembled with it as a centerpiece and they've never disappointed. If you're lucky, you may even get to meet one of the family dogs that hangs out at the shop every now and then (and they too are super friendly). The flowers aren't cheap here, but you're in midtown Manhattan so expecting a cheap florist is like expecting cheap (non street meat) food. I'm more than willing to pay for great service and high quality product and Alisan is a great reminder of that.
