Now that I am getting older, I am having additional issues. I work up one morning and my eyes were crusted shut. Koch Eye got me in that day. The doctor and assistant were very comforting and thorough in their diagnosis ( pink eye). She not only gave me sample, she write the prescription to my pharmacy. I really recommend this office. Additionally this office checks my eyes yearly. They have a great staff. read more

Dr. Fantoni is great but the front desk staff are incredibly rude, talk down to people and ignore people waiting to check in and out. Two young women in the optical shop are pleasant and helpful while the third person is awful. I've listened to her be nasty to co-workers as well as customers. read more

There is no way to contact a human being that works within the four walls of the office. In my attempt to order contacts over the last week I have truly tried it all. The voicemail that you are directed to for contact lenses is always full. I left a message with the third party that they use to schedule appts. I have tried dialing every number that the phone redirects to. They even ignored my smoke signal. I finally went into the building today. The women at the desk were very friendly. I explained my situation and that I needed to reorder contacts through their portal (Abby). They handed me a prescription and I went merrily on my way thinking I would once again have the ability to see in no time only to find out that the doctor has to go into the portal to update the prescription. I have always had a good experience with the doctors who I have seen. It is a shame to move on as a patient, but this is not the first time that it has been impossible to order contacts. I feel as though the patient experience dramatically decreased over the last few years. read more

Talked to an incredibly rude staff member today, I am a middle aged disabled vet with degrading eyesight, worsening near vision, more sensitive to light, getting headaches, etc. My interaction with this office is limited to today's conversation where I described my symptoms to this front desk staff member, and was then accused of making my symptoms up and was told the doctor won't believe me ("You can schedule an exam but you are unlikely to get a diagnosis"). I will take my business elsewhere, hopefully to someone who listens to patient symptoms with care. Maybe the docs there are fine, but I won't ever go there due to the rudeness of their staff. read more

Marc from Wakefield RI. I am So thankful for all the staff at Koch eye in Wakefield RI. I was seen this morning on an emergency basis for removal of some sand embedded in my upper eyelid. The reception staff at the front recognized how much pain i was in and expedited getting me into an exam room where i was quickly given drops to decrease the level of discomfort I was in, while i waited for Dr. Burns. Once Dr. Burns came in, she quickly and professionally found the problem and was able to remove the stone. Now at home I am pain free and so happy that the local office was there to help. read more

I had an appointment with Dr. Fantoni at 3:00. After I arrived, another patient was called in at 3:08. I asked what was happening, and I was told that she was running 30 minutes late. I left and returned after 30 minutes, at which point I was told that she was double-booked (scheduling two patients at the same time). I asked an employee h ow she could see two patients at the same time. He refused to answer the question and left the room. Another employee said he was not going to return and not going to answer my question because he did not like my "tone." Upon speaking with Fantoni, I was told that she has no control over her schedule, as she does not schedule her own appointments; they are scheduled by Koch from MA. She also indicated that she has no control over staff or employees there. I would not recommend the service. read more

We went to the optical shop to see if they had more variety than our regular eye doctor office. We were taken care of right away by Haley and she was attentive and kind. She really looked at the glasses with us and made sure they were the right fit and look. We didn't feel rushed and she went above and beyond even fixing my husbands current glasses to make them more comfortable. Would recommend a trip there for new glasses! read more

I went to Dr Burns for a regular eye exam. She found that my retinia had detached. She sent me to a retinia specialist. After many specialists, I ended up at Mass Eye and Ear. I found out that I had ocular lymphonia. After 12 treatments of radiation, I should be OK. I credit Dr Burns for her knowledge and expertise to know that I had an issue and to get me on a path to health. She is wonderful and so is her office staff. I highly recommend this practice. read more

Terrible experience. They do not care about you- just want your money. Wait time is always at least 45 minutes. Then, you get rushed out as fast as possible. No interest in actually helping you. This goes for the MD and the optical staff- they are so rude and disorganized. read more

I used to be a patient of Dr. Waterman (way back in the day) then Dr. Fantoni, was a patient of Seacoast for 14 years. I stopped going when an office administrator messed up and tried to make me pay $75 for a contact lens exam that I never wanted or needed in the first place and was not covered by my insurance (was only wearing glasses at the time). Asked to speak with the office manager to dispute, she just treated me like scum of the earth. Pretty upsetting that a doctors office can just alienate patients like that, all over an office mistake. Obviously they only care about making money. read more

Recommend! (This is for Koch Eye at 20 Hampton Way in Wakefield, RI) Shout out to Dr. Tess Deresienski for my eye exam and to Dorothy Silva who helped me with buying glasses. Also the receptionists were great. I appreciated everyone being masked in the building. There was one guy who I didn't appreciate as much, who did the first part of eye exam, who was kind of rude. (ie, he said my Asian name wrong, and then didn't bother apologizing / couldn't even try when I offered the correct pronunciation of my name. I could have gone about my day without the racism, my dude.) But that aside, everyone else was great. I look forward to my annual check up next year and eventually getting new glasses or lenses with Dot's help again! read more

Took my son to Koch eye, thought the office staff was very friendly and Dr was very nice and professional! As for the women in the eye glass area, wow! Not sure if they were alive or not! No personally at all, went pick up his glasses, did not even ask him if they were okay! I had to ask him if he could see okay and how was the fit? Hello Ladies! That is your job! Good eye doctorsbut their optical shop in Wakefield is terrible at communicating with their customers. I had to call 7 times and leave 7 messages and then finally I got someone on the phone. Nobody ever called me back, and I had to keep harassing them. Very poor customer service. I understand they are very busy but I paid for my frames and glasses, the least you can do is take 30 seconds to let me know they're not in yet. read more

I love Dr. Burns and the ladies at the front desk. I am always in and out and never have trouble making an appointment. Today I looked at the eye glasses shop inside and was pleasantly surprised. The selection was better than I expected considering how small it is compared to LensCrafters. I paid half of what I would have paid at LensCrafters for the same thing. The woman who helped me was great she let me browse and when I found something I liked she was very helpful. I would definitely get glasses here again and will always come back for my exam. read more

The customer service at this place is horrible. From the dr I saw to the receptionist and the one who makes appointments it is bad! I was a first time patient and was totally pushed aside, like I didn't matter. I had half of my appointment, then the dr dialated my eyes and placed me in a small waiting area. I sat there 40 minutes!!! During that time the dr saw 2 other patients and discussed another patient with another dr (think of the $$ he made!!!). He stated the patients were in a rush (I guess my time wasn't as valuable). When I was leaving, I encountered the person who takes payments and makes appointments. She was extremely rude and even tried charging me for services I didn't even receive. I tried to obtain information for my insurance company. They refused to be of any help claiming they didn't have what I needed because they never bill the insurance for it. I was just wondering how they knew the insurance company wouldn't pay, if they never tried. I even decided to postpone getting contacts for a year..,when I can have an eye exam from another dr and pursue it through a different doctor. I could go on and on, but I will never go back there again!! Stay away! read more

I recently went to seacoast for a checkup and to get glasses, and was lucky enough to get an appointment with their newest addition, Dr. Levy. I'm a little finicky and picky when it comes to my healthcare, and Dr. Levy was really sweet and took the time to make me feel comfortable and answer any questions that I had. She even gave me some opinions on glasses! She is quite a gem in the small state of RI. I am actually looking forward to my next visit! :) read more

I love Dr Deresienski but I will not be purchasing glasses at the optical shop up there again. I purchased a new pair of glasses and took them home they were broken. Took them back to be replaced. They were not replaced how do I know? The same chip that was on the earpiece is still there so they must have just glued the earpieces on and not replaced them. read more

I, too, was a patient. Every time I turned around I was charged a fee for something, saying that my insurance didn't cover this or that. I then found out that I was supposed to be given a discount for my contact lens exam - which I never received. AND charged for refraction because of the beginning of cataracts. After speaking to my insurer, it was confirmed that refraction is PART of the annual eye exam. My household had been charged $100 instead of $34. This has been going on for years. I have filed a complaint with my insurer and will inform my human resources and other proper channels of these billing practices. read more
