My first experience in Dec '22 was so so. I was kept waiting almost an hour. I decided to give Dr. Kreiger another try this year. Once again, I was kept waiting and had to reschedule to the next day as I needed to get back to work. When I rescheduled I was assured that I wouldn't be kept waiting, and even told to come early as there was no one else scheduled ahead of my time. When I arrived, there were others in the waiting room. My appt time was 4:30p. At 4:24p the woman seated next to me asked me what time my appt was. She said hers was 4pm. She also said she was kept waiting last year. So at this point this woman is ahead of me plus there is another gentleman that needs to go back in (I'm assuming he had his eyes dilated), plus the patient currently in with Dr. Kreiger. So I know there is no way I'm being seen at 4:30p. After what happened the day before, I think a courtesy call telling me the doctor was running behind would have been nice. Needless to say, I once again left and have no plans to return. I also had made a back up appt with another facility in the event this happened as I don't want to lose my benefit for this year. Bottom line...if you don't have a problem spending 2+ hours at your appt, give them a try. read more

If you care about COVID-19 safety protocols, DO NOT go here. My experience: - Female associate walked into the room I was waiting for my eyes to dilate in, without a mask on, she said "whoops!" and then left to get a mask. ... ??? Not sure why she didn't have a mask on, or why she thought speaking into the room would be a good follow up choice. -Employees do not wear their masks over their nose unless the doctor is near them. Meaning if it's me and the receptionists, they don't bother to wear a mask over their nose. They answer the phone by taking their masks off. Multiple times. -Exposed noses during COVID....with patients in the room, in an indoor facility. Basic science lesson may be needed on how COVID transmission occurs. There is a reason RI is not doing well right now. - Doctor did not wash his hands in between touching a random lady's purse and my literal face. In a pandemic. Would be really gross even without pandemic happening... -Didn't wipe down the equipment in between patients, an assistant said she only wipes down the equipment at the beginning and end of each day. Had to ask for the machines to be sanitized before I put my face on them. -This would be fine if we weren't in a global pandemic transmitted through contact. read more

Doctor is great but front staff horrible and rude. They lost me as a customer. I came in with bent arms on my glasses the other arm broken off, she barely looked at it and was like nothing you can do. She didn't even help me tighten or tape the other side. Also, I had questions and they didn't appear to have any patience or understanding just down right rude. She wasn't even going to align my glasses on my face. She just gave them to me at the cashier. Worst front of the house , but doctor is good. Unfortunately I will seek out another place who a staff is willing to help you and explain things to you without being annoyed. If this was a review for Dr. Kreiger himself, it'd be at least 3 stars. He's kind, caring and explains what he's doing. He even was quite receptive and seemed genuinely concerned when I told him I'd had an unpleasant experience with this front staff which I was really impressed by. So, no issues here. However - the front desk staff at the office is extremely rude. Like - extremely. I waited over 30 minutes for my appointment - he was literally taking in the patient before me a few minutes after the start time of my appointment. I had been told when I made my appointment that it would be about an hour. So, I was a bit concerned that I'd be waiting a full hour and after 20 minutes, asked the front desk about it - whether they had an estimate of when I'd be taken in so I could plan accordingly. They were rude and dismissive and didn't answer my question. I won't get into the full detail of the rest of my experience but it was like junior high all over again - gossiping and whispering about me to each other. I spoke up to let them know I could hear them whispering about me (because who wants to sit there and listen to people talk about you) and they lied and said they were discussing patients. Also - don't be fooled by the sign on the door, COVID policies are not in place here. Staff (except the doctor) either doesn't wear masks or at best has nose hanging out. At this point, honestly, I sort of get that. But multiple patients had no masks, and one even asked about it and they gave her one but basically said you don't really have to wear it. Again - I do sort of get that at this point. BUT they were extremely rude to me about wearing one - the first time I've encountered this. (My household is high risk, so we mask). 2+ years in, I get that people are tired of masks - what I don't go for is being rude, mean, disrespectful and nasty to each other about it. So, if you're looking for a doctor's office where you don't have to wear a mask and are willing to put up with super rude, mean, gossipy front desk staff and a long wait to get an eye exam from a kind, caring and competent doctor - go here. If you're high risk and/or want to be treated with basic decency, kindness and respect - I'd suggest going elsewhere. read more
