They didn't even ask what specific brand or product it was, as I had told them a general item just to see if they'd show an interest in correcting this. They didn't. They recently remodeled the store, and it's a shame that a nice building like this is run in this manner.

I had the French Toast with granola, lemon curd, and whipped cream (all made in house with bread from the bakery next door). The genius of the meal was the hint of mint in the whipped cream. Delicious! They also have a kids menu and are family friendly. It was a little pricey but the food and service were worth it. I highly recommend Little Bird for breakfast, but they also have a lunch and dinner menu plus a wide variety of cocktails, wine, and beer.

The chef makes unique and creative dishes, definitely elevated. Two disappointments for me - 1) I wish they had sourdough without flax seeds. I had to get gluten-free bread instead since I can't do seeds. Meh. 2) I was looking forward to a cappuccino, but not offered here. Other than those two minor things, I loved it!!

They were at the BIPOC Night Market at Fulton Street Farmers Market so I decided to try the Low Tide boil, with 1/2 pound snow crab and 1/2 pound shrimp. Also included were some potatoes and two chunks of corn on the cob - you can also add sausage, egg, and more potatoes or corn. I haven't been to any of the seafood boil restaurants in town yet but I think Da Boils' prices are pretty similar. The Low Tide was $34.99 and they dropped it in fresh after I ordered. It took about 10-15 minutes but it was worth the wait. The shrimp were perfectly cooked and easy to peel, and the seasoning was definitely on point and I loved the flavor. I didn't think it was too super salty and the medium level spice wasn't really spicy, I might go up a level next time. The crab was easy to get out of the shell. It's definitely messy and you don't get the bibs or gloves you might get at a sit down spot, but I didn't really care. You just have to go with it and know you'll be messy! I loved this boil and would definitely order from Da Boils again. I've seen them post other items like lobster mac and cheese, which I'd love to try. They also do catering which would make for a great party!

The store is partially an artisan grocery, with hard to find spreads and beverages--things that would pair well with a charcuterie board. The highlight is definitely the cheese counter with its wall of cheesy options. The attendants behind the counter will let you try just about anything and give recommendations based on taste or pairing. We'll definitely be visiting again for some delicious cheeses!

We ended up picking up a bottle of wine on visit one (and some cute cards the kids saw) and then on our second visit bought everything we needed (in appropriate sizes) to make a round of cocktails back at our hotel (and some candy for the kiddos. Considering it was a Saturday night, we didn't have too long of a wait without making reservations. Once we were seated, we were met with friendly wait service from our lovely waitress. My husband ordered an old fashioned and I ordered the lemon meringue pie martini which was absolutely delightful; the graham cracker rim was a nice touch, it was like drinking an actual lemon meringue pie!! For our appetizers, we ordered fried pickles and the steak bites, which were both delicious! For my entree, I ordered the Zuckerburger with a side of onion rings.
