I bought a Groupon. I tried to call to make an appointment and had to leave a message b/c no one answered. I received a call back a few days later and had to schedule a whole month out due to scheduling conflicts, due to disclosures not on the Groupon. I made it to the location and the venue was pretty. It was close to home and very convenient. The wait time to get started was none after signing information on the initial paperwork all massage parlors need. The Masseuse did an excellent job and I plan on going back. I requested that I hurt the next day b/c I love a deep tissue massage and he gave me what I asked for. Don't want to discourage others that like soft massages as he can do those too but I didn't want that! They gave water when I was done and I went to the restroom and it was nicely decorated. I was impressed by the work, the location just not by scheduling. Other than that, I plan on returning. read more

They had no availability to work with my schedule for over 6 weeks. After I was trying to figure out a day I could come, she told me to call back because she couldn't keep the phones blocked up. However, I already paid for the service, so as a business you are obligated to accommodate me and secure an appointment. I will never recommend or advise anybody to book here with these people. I wanted to try a black owned spa since I just moved to the Dallas area. So I called to get some more information about what services they provided and the front desk picked up the phone and didn't even announce where I was calling let alone her name. She sounded irritated when I asked about the massage services for couples and pricing. She immediately directed me to the website, so unprofessional, and could not give me any pricing because she didn't know. Then every time I took a pause she tried to hang the phone up, says the other caller on the other line was more important. I informed her I am not from the area and just had some general questions, the only thing that came out her mouth was hurry up and book. Why would I book something if I can't even get my questions answered. Sometimes I feel like you can't even work with your own people because they're impatient and rude half the time. Little did she knows I was going to book at least 4 couples massages for my diplomat girl friends from DC. So we booked somewhere else that was more helpful and professional! This day spa will take you to Lala land. We came in for a friend's birthday. We were greeted with complimentary wine, water, cupcakes (freshly baked) and smiles. The owner is very sweet and the staff exemplified professionalism. My massage was HEAVEN! "Hands" was fantastic. Steven did a food massage and I was quiet the entire time- I had no words to say. Zero stars. Do not recommend. First, let me start by saying their customer service is deplorable. It was an issue from the start with their "receptionist" (and I use that term very loosely, hence, the quotations) who could not answer any questions nor did she know what she was doing. Fast forward WEEKS later, my appointment was cancelled due to their incompetence and lack of professionalism. And instead of JUST apologizing because it was ALL THEIR fault, they decided to apologize but offer a list of excuses. On Thursday, I got two emails to confirm the two different types of appointments I scheduled. After clicking the links, BOTH said I was confirmed. But because there is a technological disconnect in their business, they called me Friday to confirm my appointment, after I had already done that. I missed the call and immediately called back and left a voicemail that said I had already confirmed my appointment on Thursday. But did anyone call me back? No. Because they admittedly dont check their voicemails (Their words, not mine). Saturday morning I wake up to a missed call and voicemail which stated they tried to contact me numerous times but since I had not replied (which I did, online Thursday and left a message on Friday but they dont check those), they would cancel my appointment and wished me well with my pregnancy. The gotcha gotcha, I'm not pregnant. Terrible right? They also referred to a previous time I had been in there.... Yeah, NEVER been there before. I called back multiple times on Saturday and left several messages. They called me back on Monday to offer a ton of excuses including they did everything on their end to fix the issue (but admittedly did NOT listen to their voicemails while also admitting they dont answer the phone all the time). Also, not once in that BS apology did she offer to reschedule me. However, I'd never give them my money anyway at this point. In the time it took her to cancel my appointment and reply to me (48 hours) I had already found another Black owned business to support and had already been there. Oh and did I mention, that inbetween them calling me on Friday and cancelling my appointment on Saturday, they basically sent "confirmation texts" for the appointment as well? Overall, zero stars. This place is great!! I went with my sister (we also had the groupon). I thought the pedicure was ok (seat not too comfortable & everything done manually), but that meant that someone looked at my foot and concentrated on the areas that really needed work. Loved the foot mask! The facial, however, was at another level! My skin came out smooth and glowing. The products that she recommended I bought and use to this day, and my skin has never been this few breakouts. I would say she's a master at knowing skin. My sister & I got completely different skin care products used, and both recommendations were wonderful for our different skins types/needs. read more

Although the front desk staff were very helpful I was not a fan of this spa's massage techniques. The day and time I wanted to book my appointment there was only a male massage therapist available. I agreed to try a male masseuse although I specifically said I did not want my upper thighs or gluteal area massaged. He did not respect this request and I was extremely uncomfortable. We booked a 90 minute couples massage & were very impressed. We travel a lot & get quite a few massages all over the country, and you just never know when you're going to get a really good one. Both of us sat up when it was done and said how amazing we felt. Just the right amount of pressure & relaxation. I have only had 3 prior massages with a male masseuse and did not enjoy them, but Will was amazing. He's very smooth and has an amazing flow, and did not dig in too hard. I came into Koffee Day Spa today and I got a facial from Thai Morrisson herself and I am so glad I went! She did an AMAZING job on my facial (it took about an hour). The environment was quite relaxing and everything she used on my skin smelled so good! As I write this review the skin on my face feels BRAND NEW. Thai also gave me really good advice on how I could start building a skincare routine. Today I was blessed to share the love of God and Jesus with Will (my massage therapist). I went for a relaxing time and I walked out stressed and hurting. The massage was painful. While Will's interest in nature and animals was good to hear about. The conversation took a turn when Will decided to shared that he was God and Jesus does not exist. He shared his severe hated for whites, Christians, all religion and ideals (which he said were created by whites). I felt scared because he was massaging my neck and all I could do was listen to his foolishness. I just kept praying for him in silence as he talked. I was also concerned for my safety because he has access to my information because of the forms I filled out at the spa. I did not appreciate the manager calling me to asked me to remove the review because of Will's unprofessionalism and lack of ethical training. Hopefully the company will train Will on culture sensitivity, professionalism and ethics. All employees actions are a reflection of the company while in service to that company. So I cannot excuse Will's actions because it was apart of my experience while at the business. I will say the receptionist was very hospitable. read more

I purchased a voucher through Living Social. Initially I had trouble scheduling my appointment, but I am glad I was patient, because I got the best massage I have ever had. Meechie, has "magic hands". I got a two hour massage and when I tell you I did not want it to end. I like deep tissue and his pressure was perfect. I left all my stress and pain on the table. The spa was visually very inviting and the staff was friendly and helpful. I love the calming blue walls. I used to belong to the chain massage clubs,but I love the intimacy of Koffee Day Spa. I signed up for the VIP, program after the first massage and I have already had my second massage, the only negative is that I got a one hour massage and I clearly was not ready for it to end after an hour. This was my first visit to Koffee Spa. I have known about it for a while and pass it often. I am VERY picky when it comes to spas and spa treatments. Today was urgent and as I thought about where to go Koffee Spa crossed my mind. I called and had to leave a msg. Honestly, I assumed IF someone returned my call it would be too late for an appointment. I was wrong, someone returned my call in a timely manner and they were able to accommodate me. My muscles were inflamed and impacting my nerves. I walked in with a severe headache. I will have to say Will worked a miracle. He was patient, he listened and asked for clarity when warranted. As a result, he gave my body exactly what it needed. I would have loved an area to relax as I should not have left immediately following such an intense treatment. Thank you, Will! read more

We got inside and it was a refreshing twist on a spa; it was very urban-rustic with happy bright blue everywhere. They even offered Starbucks coffee via Keurig. Just had a wonderful facial with Marina. it was the 1st of a 3 facial Groupon I received from my daughter for Mother's Day. It was relaxing and my skin looked lovely afterward. The facilities were clean, the atmosphere relaxing and everyone was kind and friendly. The spa felt well cared for. The only reason I did not give 5 stars is that I usually have a facial that includes the face, neck and decollete with hands and sometimes the feet treated. At this spa you are given a robe and only the face and upper part of the neck are treated. Nevertheless Marina gave a very nice facial and I would recommend her and Koffee Day Spa. The room dividers do not go to the ceiling so if a dark, quiet room is important this facility will not work for you. But I will enjoy going back and if you know what to expect I do not think you would be disappointed. read more

My fiancé and I recently took a trip to Dallas to relax over a long weekend. While we were there, I got a two hour massage at Koffee, and I am so glad I did. The MT, Kim, was really attentive to some muscular issues I was having, and I was so surprised at how quickly two hours flew by. Massage was ok. Customer service did not deserve a star. Scheduling an appointment was a monumental task (took at least 20 calls). Rescheduling an appointment was a real mission impossible. A number of rude receptionists promise to call you back and put you on hold and never get back to you, days after days. Unspeakable, not sure why they are still in business. I truly wish I never got my Groupon for their service it was much more pain than gain. Also ended up extremely itchy after the service for a couple of hours. I have tried contacting Koffee Day Spa to get a refund for what they have changed me but still have not received a response or a refund for my spa treatment that they cancelled. I have never been more pleased! This place is awesome... I received a facial from Ty and she is truly the best! I have been to several dermatologist in Dallas and I truly have been wasting my money.. this is where I should have been years ago! Everyone was so professional...Ty took the time to find out what my face needed and wasn't trying to just sell me products. My skin was glowing when the facial was finished and this was my first time! Normally after leaving my dermatologist office the next day my face breaks out. After my facial with Ty yesterday.. this morning I have no break outs and my skins looks amazing. Although the massage was good, everything else seemed a little disorganized. I went in to use a gift card I got for my birthday so I didn't know what to expect but was hoping to find my new spa spot. I didn't. I booked a 90 min massage, but was stopped at 60 (I was told it was a computer glitch afterwards?). This was fine, I figured I'd use the rest of my gift card on some products. They were out of the moisturizer I needed. Okay, fine...I picked one for my husband instead and made my way to the checkout. Here I was told my gift card expired (there is not an exp. date printed anywhere on the card) so they were taking $10 off. Such BS. So I had to pay the extra out of pocket. I was working with the owner at this point, I felt like she could've at least let me get out of there without spending the extra $4 considering all the "glitches" during my visit. read more

They only get two stars because the massage therapists saved the day. I booked a spa party there during my bachelorette weekend on August 16th. They required each of my party to pay in advance which I found a little odd considering that no other spa has ever required advance payment for services. I complied because they said they were shutting down the spa to host our party. I asked twice what time we should arrive and was told by someone on the phone that for a 2:30PM appointment that we could arrive around 2:15PM to fill out our paperwork and get started on time. My mother arrived at about 2:10 PM and was met at the door and told to turn around. They wouldn't even let her inside. Upon my arrival minutes later I met my mother outside almost in tears because of the way she was treated. They rudely stopped her at the door and told her to turn around in the most desolate part of downtown about 20 minutes before a torrential downpour. The only explanation offered was that they were still "cleaning up" and she couldn't come inside. The customer service issues didn't stop there. While going over our services for the afternoon the owner and what appeared to be her daughter began arguing with my mother and sister after a miscommunication regarding very similar spa service packages. They are both rude and unprofessional. The only part of that experience was saved by their massage therapists who luckily before the situation became more escalated offered a very simple solution and spent the rest of the afternoon trying to make up for the other two. The younger one continued to be rude the entire time. They also made us wait in between services while they cleaned, had no clear plan for timing and although we had signed up for our services in advance continuously kept asking "who was next and what did we need." Their way of "making up" was to offer some hand cream for free at the end of the service. There are so many great spas in Dallas. If I hadn't had 5 other people with me that prepaid, we would have left and called it a day. Worst spa experience ever. read more

I wish I could leave 2 different reviews - one for the massage therapist and one for the "spa" and it's owner. The massage was with Will and it was AMAZING. I would give him 5 stars (and I get lots of massages). Highly recommend him. The spa, however, would get 1 star. First, calling it a spa is a generous use of the term - it is a barred storefront in a shady part of town. I could get over all that, but the owner was beyond rude. For the duration of my 90 minute massage, she conducted a meeting with several people in the reception area which is directly next to the massage room and separated by a very thin wall. Seems like a huge design fail in the first place. At the very beginning of the massage, I asked Will to ask them if they could try to keep their voices down or if there was another room I could move to. They quieted down for a few minutes but then were back to being very loud. Halfway through the massage, I actually GOT UP and walked out there wrapped in my sheet to ask them again if there was another room I could move to or if they could move their meeting. The owner, instead of being apologetic, seemed put out and barged back into the massage room, turned the music up even more (we had already tried that) and continued on with her loud meeting. Blaring classical music isn't the answer and didn't help. So glad it was a Groupon b/c apparently customer satisfaction is on the very bottom of this owner's priority list. With so many lovely (and quiet) spas in town, there is never a reason to go here. Skip it. read more

I hate to complain but apparently speaking to the manager didnt work. I had a 90 min PRENATAL massage at this "medspa" The therapist was very nice but he gave me a very deep tissue massage. I told him 3 times that I wanted lighter pressure and he asked if there were any areas that hurt so i mentioned my right leg pain (sciatica) and he said"ok and im sorry but the pain will be very intense in this area" so, I told him if he could lighten up once again but he did not change the amount of pressure , it was a very sharp bruise like pain as he was "stripping" my leg muscles and jostling my back and I know it was MY fault for not being more demanding or telling him to just end the massage but I kept thinking it must not be much longer... I started sweating and twitching but he continued to say im sorry and proceeded. Also, he had started me supine with a small face cradel under my neck until I told him i couldnt be on my back anymore since it started to hurt. he ended the massage with hot towels on my back and legs . I tipped him well because he was a nice person and im sure many clients would enjoy his dt massage very much but he was obviously not well trained in PRENATAL. I called after I left because I didnt want to put him on the spot and spoke to a very rude manager who said theyve never in 18 years had a complaint... Ive had 4 kids...he is extremely trained...she continued to interrupt me and said let me just finish what I have to say because i have to get somewhere. She also tried to tell me that he said I wanted my sciatic nerve released and thatI requested that amount of pressure eventhough I specifically wanted a relaxing massage as stated on my intake form. She kept going against what i said. I was originally not upset and just wanted to bring it to her attention that he needs more training but SHE stressed me out so much that I decided to end the call. I know that some therapist do dt during prenatal but if the client doesnt want it, then you shouldn't do what YOU think is right and with precaution. I'm not upset with the therapist but with the manger as it seems they just put their employees to do specialty work they are NOT trained in. (And they know this for a fact!) read more
