Neat spot nearby for Mediterranean / Egyptian-style food. Similar enough to Greek, if that's what you're after, but slightly different if you've had enough of these styles of food to tell the difference. Not bad, just different. Guys inside seem nice enough, food was flavorful and fresh. My lamb kabobs and lamb "chunks" were good quality meat (even if the chunks were a tad overcooked). The tzatziki was cool and refreshing, the rice was plentiful, and the tabbouleh was palate cleansing between each bite. Not bad for a local, non-chain joint!

Wonderful restaurant even celebrated my mom's birthday! Tables and chairs and comfy booths. Nice clean restaurant delicious food!

Everything was delicious. We're so glad we came here. We had the mixed Gyro. Rice, hummus, pita bread, the Philly cheesesteak was delicious and cheesy. Also the appetizer sampler was really great came with hummus, falafel, grape leaves, and pita bread and tzatziki. Gerges was there to help us order and had knowledge as well as being kind and hospitable.

We were told by some friends that this place is worthy. It's very good but it's also mildly seasoned. Oh, a tip - serving size is large. We ordered way too much for what we needed. We wanted a mix so we had beef shawerma sandwich, hummus & bread, grape leaves and a chicken kabob. The beef shawerma was mildly seasoned but it was good. The chicken was also on the mild side but tender and juicy. Salads were a nice mix, we had cucumber dressing which was nice. The grape leaves were great! Hummus was mild but good. Nice place, nice people. Service was fast. I'd do it again.

Koftaky Grill is a great place to visit for lunch, offering up tasty food that is fresh and fast. They do offer a lunch special (gyro and a side), but there are many other items on the menu, too, like falafel, shawarma, and gyro plates. You get to choose toppings for your sandwich or plate, and it is made to order. The staff was friendly and I did not have to wait long at all. If you are in the area be sure to give them a try!

I had read in several reviews that the hawawasi was really good, so I decided to branch out from my norm and give it a shot. It wasn't as exciting as I had anticipated, but still more flavorful than it appears to the eye, and spicy (in flavor, not heat). I was confused why it was served with ketchup, but after dipping some pieces, it makes sense now. It's good either way, but I like it better with ketchup. The falafel was delicious. Lots of flavor and fried perfectly. The falafel side was served with pita and some sauce. But even with the sauce it seemed all a bit too dry? Anyway, I would eat a whole platter of that falafel by itself! Very good. I think the price is a little steep for this side though. The food item I was most surprised about? The grape leaves. They were incredibly flavorful and not swimming in oil as I often find them served by others. Just absolutely amazing - the unexpected star of the show! I definitely recommend giving this grill a try. All of our food seemed prepared when ordered with fresh ingredients, and I'd love to try some other items on their menu.

Very delicious food. I've had the gyro plate with hummus and it is amazing. I do feel like they are a bit stingy on the cucumber sauce.

We had a res at another place that couldn't seat us, so we took a flyer on Osh. So glad we did!…read more We walked in on a Sat nite without a res and were seated quickly. They brought us water and warm flatbread with labneh. It was a great way to start the evening. Our server recommended the lamb dumplings and the chicken kabob. We ordered that plus the Uzbek bread and a lamb sambosa. The sambosa was delicious; flaky dough and minced well spiced lamb. The chicken kabob was delectable; tender, well spiced, and served with sumac onions and other accompaniments. The lamb dumplings (think big manti or momos) were fantastic; again, well spiced lamb and tender dough, served with a really lovely yogurt sauce. Service was fast and friendly. We paid about $80 Inc tip for this feast. Highly recommended; give Uzbek food a try!

Nashville is known for many things ranging from honkey tonks filled with misbehaving tourists to…read moreiconic dishes like hot chicken. There is a secret however, that few would ever reveal: Nashville has some seriously solid authentic Uzbek food. As the city is home to the largest Kurdish population in America, the foundation of community attracted not only Kurds, but also Uzbeks from larger American cities. Osh is one such outpost for an excellent and authentic meal. Shurpa soup is spectacular with delicate lamb and fatty broth. Manti are ok, although the lamb filling is a bit on the dry side. Somsa is incredible and flaky. Medovik is subpar, synthetic tasting and dry. While not every dish was the highlight of culinary mastery, as a whole, the meal was very satisfying. The kind people working here make the establishment amazing, attentive and kind to give great suggestions. So, for something authentic and tasty, make a trip to this random strip mall and enjoy a family restaurant that adds a cool character to Nashville's community.

Everything is meant to be share style on the menu, and so we opted to do a few starting dips with pita bread as well as some salads and two main dishes. The pita bread was honestly the highlight of my night! It was made fresh and it was so simple, but so delectable on its own, even without the hummus, which was also delicious. I think this is one of the best places you can go for good appetizers. I felt that the meat was good, but not as stand out as the hummus and the asparagus salad. I would love to come back for the pita bread alone. The service was exceptional, with an attentive and friendly staff.

Decided to give it another try and probably won't go back. I think I'll give 4 stars because it's probably some people's favorite place but I'd probably rank it lower. Was good but honestly boring. I can get the same meal but better up the street on Gallatin with more decor, great staff, and more reasonable prices. It was pretty slow even with only a few tables taken on a week night. The explanation of the menu items wasn't clear even after asking (I don't think the staff member was fully knowledgeable on the ingredients) so we just picked what sounded okay and went with it.
