Neat spot nearby for Mediterranean / Egyptian-style food. Similar enough to Greek, if that's what you're after, but slightly different if you've had enough of these styles of food to tell the difference. Not bad, just different. Guys inside seem nice enough, food was flavorful and fresh. My lamb kabobs and lamb "chunks" were good quality meat (even if the chunks were a tad overcooked). The tzatziki was cool and refreshing, the rice was plentiful, and the tabbouleh was palate cleansing between each bite. Not bad for a local, non-chain joint!

Wonderful restaurant even celebrated my mom's birthday! Tables and chairs and comfy booths. Nice clean restaurant delicious food!

Everything was delicious. We're so glad we came here. We had the mixed Gyro. Rice, hummus, pita bread, the Philly cheesesteak was delicious and cheesy. Also the appetizer sampler was really great came with hummus, falafel, grape leaves, and pita bread and tzatziki. Gerges was there to help us order and had knowledge as well as being kind and hospitable.

We were told by some friends that this place is worthy. It's very good but it's also mildly seasoned. Oh, a tip - serving size is large. We ordered way too much for what we needed. We wanted a mix so we had beef shawerma sandwich, hummus & bread, grape leaves and a chicken kabob. The beef shawerma was mildly seasoned but it was good. The chicken was also on the mild side but tender and juicy. Salads were a nice mix, we had cucumber dressing which was nice. The grape leaves were great! Hummus was mild but good. Nice place, nice people. Service was fast. I'd do it again.

Koftaky Grill is a great place to visit for lunch, offering up tasty food that is fresh and fast. They do offer a lunch special (gyro and a side), but there are many other items on the menu, too, like falafel, shawarma, and gyro plates. You get to choose toppings for your sandwich or plate, and it is made to order. The staff was friendly and I did not have to wait long at all. If you are in the area be sure to give them a try!

I had read in several reviews that the hawawasi was really good, so I decided to branch out from my norm and give it a shot. It wasn't as exciting as I had anticipated, but still more flavorful than it appears to the eye, and spicy (in flavor, not heat). I was confused why it was served with ketchup, but after dipping some pieces, it makes sense now. It's good either way, but I like it better with ketchup. The falafel was delicious. Lots of flavor and fried perfectly. The falafel side was served with pita and some sauce. But even with the sauce it seemed all a bit too dry? Anyway, I would eat a whole platter of that falafel by itself! Very good. I think the price is a little steep for this side though. The food item I was most surprised about? The grape leaves. They were incredibly flavorful and not swimming in oil as I often find them served by others. Just absolutely amazing - the unexpected star of the show! I definitely recommend giving this grill a try. All of our food seemed prepared when ordered with fresh ingredients, and I'd love to try some other items on their menu.

I got the Gyro salad today and it was absolutely delicious. They are very nice and super clean here. I did a phone order and the food was ready in five minutes. The salad was under $10 and a good portion, not too large which is good for portion control. The meat was seasoned so well and the pita bread was the best I've ever had. I can't what to come back and try more things. So glad to finally find a great Greek place near my home. If you want to enjoy Greek food but still feel healthy afterwards I would say come here. read more

We literally received the BEST service here! They were so nice and helpful! The prices are fair for the portion of food and it was good! I just love these folks. Their food is always fresh and fast, and I know if I need a decent meal in a pinch, they will be there. Try a salad with gyro and customized toppings, especially the tabbouleh. read more

This place is tucked in next to The UPS Store. I started going in here when I needed to drop off packages next door. I'm so glad I did because it's a fantastic spot for a good gyro! I always get their standard gyro meat either in a platter or in pita. I had their hummus for the first time today and am kicking myself that I had not had it sooner. High quality food for a low price; what a combo! The bonus was the friendly staff! Deducting a star because the guy behind the counter charged me for 2 bottled waters when I wanted tap. Don't over look Koftaky just because it's tucked away in a strip mall. Delicious! read more

We came here with high hopes after reading all the positive reviews. We are from California and love middle eastern cuisine. Upon entering the staff -I assume owners and their daughter( but unsure )were extremely unfriendly and seemed annoyed we asked anything about the menu. I had the chicken shawarma over salad and my husband had the mixed grill plate. We also ordered the Babaganoosh which tasted nothing like babaganoosh to us - it had a pickled flavor and was 5 dollars for a small scoop and 1/2 a pita. My shwarma was dry and just really not good at all. My husband said the lamb had good flavor but was tough and the rice was very good. The restaurant was extremely clean. I was completely disgusted by this place. The interior is dirty and ill furnished. Folding tables, cases of water and other supplies are stacked in plain view. I ordered the chicken kabob sandwich and requested a refund after I attempted to bite into and chew the extremely fatty mystery meat. I ate here twice today. My first and last time. read more

We love this restaurant! My husband and I just ate lunch at Koftaky Grill for the first time and really enjoyed everything we ordered. I had the Mix Grill plate with lamb and lamb sausage (so good!) and he had the Philly Cheesesteak sandwich with Baklava for dessert. The cucumber sauce is the real star and goes with everything! This is a great local spot with tons of charm, and the service was kind and sincere. Definitely coming back to try everything else on the menu!! read more

I really like this place. They pump out Turkish style street food; Kabobs Doner, made with fresh ingredients, and several special touches, that offer a unique experience. We decided to stop in, we're new to the area. YUMmm! Gyro's was the best I've had in a while. Taziki sauce was delightful! I ordered fries instead of rice and even those were yummy. Excellent, fresh food served by friendly folks. So far, I've tried the chicken plate, and the beef & lamb plate. Food is cooked fresh to order and is absolutely delicious. Portions are huge- one order gives me 2-3 meals, so it's definitely a great deal. Folks who work here are from Egypt, they are incredibly friendly and kind. Love this place. Just happened upon this place while visiting from out of town. The restaurant is open bright and clean with the most friendly of staff! The gal that helped us was passionate about the food they had to serve and made sure we were taken care of. She was very kind and her recommendation was perfect! Sorry wanted to say something nice because we miss good Mediterranean food in Illinois. People were nice - the falafel was thick, not crispy, very dense and not flavorful. I was truly looking forward to this as I was the Chicken Shawarma which was salty and not fresh tasting. We threw away $36 worth of food and made some leftovers ... It just wasn't a place we'll be back unfortunately. Maybe their Gyros are good we'll have to try them for that. read more

The food is good as most Mediterranean food is. The cucumber sauce was some of the best I ever had. Prices were fair for what all they offered. Check in before ordering and you will get 10% of your order they also have deals of you buy so many plates. I got the gyro plate with came with a good portion of gyro meat, rice, side salad and 4 wedges of pita bread with 2 cucumber sauce or ranch for under 10 dollars. Staff was friendly from what I could tell. I would definitely return to test out the rest of the menu. read more

They are conveniently located just down the way from the Kroger grocery store. The restaurant is low-key and the ambience super casual.

I was homesick about 10 days ago, it was a Sunday afternoon. I ordered the hawawshi - almost the same as my mother used to make! Excellent! I also ordered the lamb kabab which was juicy and not over cooked as it is as many other places! Atmosphere was pleasant, quiet, and very clean! Service - best ever! The owner's son and wife are the sweetest ever! I've not seen an Egyptian parents/son relationship like this in a long time - made me more homesick! Most humble family!!!!
