Also, someone named Alex knows I'm standing there waiting for a pick up that I ordered two hours ahead of time and because knew I was waiting, took the time to keep messing around until finally I saw him put them in the bin, and I just took them and gave me total attitude and said very rudely to me about what I was going to do and I picked up the shoes and left This store is a big zero get your customer service skills together that is not how you do things read more

We had a pick up, only 1 of 7 items came in. I'm not sure if we have to make another return to get the rest of the items??? The lady who helped us (Henriette) was so nice though. Got in line to purchase an item and it was Henriett again. Such a nice lady! Love the service she gave us. I was looking at Christmas sale items which were marked 60% off. Then there some Christmas items on back of store that were not on sale??? Make up your mind Manager? All should be on sale. They also had 4th of July and Halloween stuff left from last year 2024 on clearance. Mark things down to get rid of them. Last year's holiday stuff 2024 should be gone. They already have this year's Valentine's Day and Easter stuff out 2024 . It's a mess: some on sale, some not, different areas of the store. I dislike have 2024 holiday stuff out with new 2025 items. After 4th of July and Easter, you'll put those with last year's markdowns. Doesn't make sense me. Anyway, thank you Henriett for the good service . I like the Batavia store but I had a bad experience there today. I waited in line for probably half an hour today. I do not do self check out. Only 2 clerks were working. There was a family of 4 at one of the 2 check outs. The mom in the group checked out her items and left. About 10 minutes later she came back in and immediately went back to the clerk where her family was still checking out and started returning items she had just bought! And the clerk let her! This family took up one entire line for the whole time I waited and was still there when I finally left. I think they argued over every price. The mom totally bypassed the line that had at least 10 people in it who had been waiting a long time to purchase. If you are going to ditch Customer Service and let people return things at the check out lines then at least hire some people to man the check out lanes and if a lot of people are waiting, call for more help. read more

Updated 5-12-18 We have 3 checkers and 25 people in line. This is Chicagoland, this store should be giving superior service and be way more responsive. I am sorry I am not waiting the amount of time it takes Gordon Ramsay to make a 4 course feast to be checked out. Bloody ridiculousness. Just a mess, men's graphic tshirts and men's shoes were a complete mess. Chicago Blackhawks items were mysteriously missing from the racks, as if they were more valuable to save for next year. read more

I worked for many Decades as a senior regional VP for one of their competitors and I don't shop there weekly but enough to know their checkers are good and customer centric. Example: I was shopping on senior day and wasn't aware they gave a discount. She very diplomatically told me I was entitled to that discount and ran me through their other promotions. Those that had issues: I've learned that when people return things they feel different than when they are buying things . These people make very little money and they are like you: figuring out how they are going to feed their family on that. Never had any issues and I am a happy shopper read more

The kiosks at the Batavia IL store were very problematic in the past and have gotten worse. They are next to impossible to type on (either not sensing a letter or then typing it twice when you press harder - it takes forever), instructions are cryptic, and neither the card reader or the scanner worked on 11-11-20. Besides my 40 minutes for a simple one-item order, the machine wasted at least 20 minutes of staff time (they couldn't make it function properly either - but they were sincere in their efforts). I will make sure to avoid their kiosks going forward, and do my best to shop elsewhere. if Kohl's would not have such restrictive ship-to-store protocols, forcing people to pay high shipping charges or go to the stores to use the kiosks and avoid the charges, the problem would be solved. read more

Kohls at it again! Another bait and switch on a pickup in-store order. Yet again the order is wrong. Catch this one black shoe and one brown shoe in the Box. Online ordering says plenty of each color are available in that size. They can't find it. I can reorder it and pay double when I was able to order on quote on quote Black Friday or I can just return it and skip the shoes. In effect by messing up the order they bait and switch me. I then have to pay double what they originally sold the shoes to me for. Incompetent manager reduces college-age Shoppers to tears while defrauding them on a routine basis. This is the third order in a month where this has occurred. Way to lose your shoppers Kohl's, at the holidays! UPDATE: After placing the new order at $17+ more, The matching box of shoes turned up within the hour. I called to verify that the box contained two matching/same size shoes and was told they would redo the transaction and refund the $17. They did. Still a bad experience and huge waste of time but they did make it right in the end. read more

This store is one of the nicer, more organized Kohl's. I must say that their system is very fast, and efficient, especially when processing returns. Their marketing system is good, with the coupons, and Kohl's cash, I like that it can be used on clearance, and yellow dot items. My one complaint is the quality of some of the merchandise. I have purchased several items, that looked like they had been washed and worn a hundred times, just after a short time. I can remember when most merchandise was made in the US, and built to last. I like this store , but I recently had a bad experience. My chip recently broke in my debit card and I didn't have time to replace it yet. I wanted to purchase a dress and the credit card wouldn't work, I saw they offered ipay and I had it set up on my iphone. I asked the cashier if I could use it and she said I have no idea how to do it. I got a little frustrated and said I guess I can't purchase it then and she said ok. I had places to go so didn't have time to go to an ATM and come back so at a last attempt I asked if she could manually enter or if she could do anything. She said I guess you could go to customer service they might be able to help. The young man said it probably won't work and was not very helpful. I finally got it to swipe. It was a very frustrating experience. I guess customer service isn't always the way I think it should be. read more

I just encountered worst checkout experience ever with a lady named Tina. My husband and I share a Kohl's credit card but I didn't realize my name had to be on account since I've never been asked that before. She could have easily told me how to add myself but instead treated me like a criminal. I was there with my sleepy 3 year old trying to get a last minute outfit for a rare night out. If I wasn't so rushed or with my baby, I would have complained much more. Kohl's you need to retrain her on how to treat customers. I could have easily paid a different way, but only option she gave me was to open an additional card which I didn't want because I already had one!!! The clothes there are cute for price but because of that experience I'll never go back. Unbelievable waste of my time. I hope that big time authority of working behind the counter and treating other people so poorly makes you feel better about yourself!!! read more

I dont really see why there are complaints. I mean so what if its not the same prices as your $2.99 shirt from Wal-Mart. The staff is great, returns are easy, and they ALWAYS check to see if they have a coupon since I have a Kohls Card. Super nice of them. Its a hit or miss with the Juniors section. Sometimes there are really cute things there, other times its just okay. Either way, the complainers can calm themselves down. Go to Wal-Mart if you dont want to pay $4.99 for a shirt. In these times when true personal customer service has pretty much become a thing of the past i was blown away Thursday afternoon in the jewelry department of Kohl's in Batavia...I went in looked around and the saleswoman was with another customer but acknowledged me she'd be right with me. Kristi made sure the other customer was occupied looking at selections she advised. Kristi, after I was talking with her for just a moment remember us and what she sold us. Wow, I actually felt like she was my own personal shopper! Kristi knew I was running short on time so she took over and found what I needed and put it aside for me. Thanks Kristi!!! I came back to the store to pick up what Kristi found for me and Anna was the saleswoman there and she was just as nice. Anna quickly found my item and finished the transaction efficiently with a genuine smile and well wishes. Just thought y'all should know Kohl's does Care!!! If I could give zero stars I would. This place is terrible, some of the worst customer service. They took my cc at the service desk, but hassled me at the front register because it was my husband's card (joint account.) the debacle was such an inconvenience that I vow to never spend another cent with this company.
