I really like Kohl's. There are a lot of quality items from clothing, shoes, and household goods. They have made it easy to make the purchase and to make returns. They even allow you to make returns from Amazon which is a huge plus. The only downside is that they only have one area in the whole store to cash out. The plus side is that that area to cash out is right by a door so if you have a return you don't have to walk to the whole store. Another issue is that the amount of goods is limited. I know people are not going to the store as much anymore so that may be the issue. But Cole is one of my favorite stores to shop for quality items at a reasonable price. A friend asked me to go shopping on the last weekend of Christmas. I was game because I was finished my shopping so anything I see or find at this point is a plus. We decided to go to Arbor Mall in Douglasville but we made a detour to Kohl's and boy am I glad we did. The thing I like about Kohl's is they have almost everything. A smaller scale of a department store but have just what you need. We walked in on Saturday and there were sales galore. The website had a coupon that we were able to use as well. That was even better. I love a discount or a sale. The people were definitely in there buying up everything in site. The store was neat and orderly despite the crowd of people in the store. The only con this day was of course the lines but hey it's Christmas time. Also this store could stand to have a bench or two around the store. I have a khols account the manager with the cleft lip refused to look up my account because the bar code on my DL was worn off. I lost 2 hours of my day shopping and she refused to call corporate to verify account. Cancled my khols card and my wifes. If I'm about to spend 400 dollars on clothes I expect a helpful manager not a lazy, rude one . She actually said in front of my kids "sir how can I look up your account?". My answer was that's really your internal business. Bottom line they can do it, she refused to do it..lost a 400 dollar sale and two credit card accounts in one day. Great job! read more

I went to pick up a order I purchased online.. stood in line but got a very nice older lady.. but then she had to get another person to get the item. Since it was a fitbit. S gentlemen name Juan came he was listening rushed off and brought back the wrong one. . She called him back he once again talked over me and again not listening went and brought another one. I tried to say thanks to him. He would even look at me or respond nothing. . Then when she scanned it ..yes wrong one again.. she radioed Juan again. But he was busy gossiping to two other employees and never cared to help correct his other 2 errors. By now a line is forming behind me. Finally another associate came got it on first attempt. Most of the staff were attentive however this one lady constantly made snide, rude remarks to people and even one to one of my family members personally regarding their weight. This short, round white lady looked like she doesn't keep up with herself to begin with and for her to be talking about people is absurd. I made a purchase on Saturday. To get the special price you have to use your credit card. I paid with my Kohl's card then paid it off at the purchase. As luck would have it I had to return my purchases when I tried them on later at home it just wasn't right. When I returned the next day I was told the money had to go back to the card. Even when I showed them where I paid the card purchase in full they would not give me my money back. I was referred to a phone hanging on the wall and was told I had to call and ask for a check to be sent. After going through voice mail hell the customer no service person said it would take up to two weeks for "their system" to refund money. I reminded them that the money was withdrawn instantly. The Kohl's sales are typically very reasonable which is why I've shopped here before. In my experience today that was not the case. There was a great deal of mis-marketing and false advertisement. A number of shelves stated 70% off of MARKED PRICE but the manager on duty, Tina, skewed it saying it was actually off the original price. Now for some reason there are other signs in the store that state a percentage off of the original price, but this did not. She obviously didn't have correct knowledge of how it worked or was too impatient to deal with it. In this interaction Tina was not only rude but soured the entire experience. She talked down to customers, my brother included, to make us feel as though we were stupid for reading the signs wrong that were blatantly labeled wrong. I can imagine this isn't the first time Tina has lost business for paying customers. She could have at the very least been respectful. I will end this review on a high note though. Noris at the checkout counter was patient, pleasant, and incredibly helpful. She is the only reason I will return again. Maybe Noris could give Tina a lesson in customer service. read more

Today I stoped at the Douglasville location just to pick up a shirt for work, noticed they had king size pillows reg.$136 now $55. I picked up two and a bath rug for my bathroom. Head to the register to checkout, forgot my bank card but I had check book, cashier says my check declined. I know I had money in my account so I paid with a credit card. I stepped to the side to call my bank, they said nothing was presented to them that it was the store system error. I asked the clerk to run my check again and she said I need to call the number that printed on back of check. I called the number , put in route and account number and they said that I didn't meet their criteria with check sequence number, amount of check or check history. I don't shop kohls anyway and I don't use check, this system they have in place is a joke. I guess new customers can't use any form of payment. I won't be back if this was my store, I'm a manager at a large retailer we don't treat customers like this. read more
