It's nice to have this store nearby. Convenient to bring Amazon returns and have them processed in a timely manner. Parking lot is sufficient for its shoppers and the store always seems clean and presentable. read more

Beware, not the place to buy gifts for people!!! If you get a gift from kohls you don't like you cannot exchange it for something else. The only option is to credit the gift givers credit card and then they will know you didn't like the gift! That's horrible I won't buy gifts there anynore knowing they won't be able to exchange it for something else of it isn't their style. . read more

Vacuum, sweep, mop, the fitting room floors. It is disgusting in there! Dust, bunnies and clumps of hair! It all sticks to the bottom of the pants you're trying on as they brush the floor. I left the room, sneezing and gagging. And I'm not talking about a little bit of hair and dust. I'm talking. No one has swept or locked in there since the spring time . I like this location, hubby and I came in looking for a couple pairs of work pants for him. He said it's the only place he shops for them and was happy with his new pants! I found the cutest SO brand striped jumpsuit in my size on their sale rack! I hope they get more in this spring, since it was the last one left at the time of purchase and oh so comfortable on! I'd love to collect them all! I also stopped by Sephora which by my surprise is now inside Kohl's and purchased a great brow pencil! I would definitely recommend this location, the staff are helpful and there's a Sephora inside if you're in the need of makeup to go along with your new cute outfit! I would give negative star if i can. I bought 2 machines (air fryer and coffee maker) from Kohl and earned some Kohl's cash with 10 days to spend. I used Kohl cash to purchase a duffel bag. I ended up returning the coffee maker. They deducted $15 from my refund because I used the earned $15 Kohl cash for the duffel bag. I later returned the duffel bag and Kohl refused to refund my $15. Instead I get $15 in Kohl cash with 10 days of expiration. If I don't use it in 10 days, I effectively lose $15 and getting nothing from Kohl. This is theft! read more

The current overall rating of three stars seems fair to me, as I have a lot of mixed feelings about this store. Starting with the good, the employees are usually friendly. Other than one absolutely terrible experience with a return a few years ago, I have had mostly good experiences with both purchases and returns, and I'm sure I've shopped here at least 200 times. The Amazon Returns Outpost has made my life easier on several occasions. Not only has the service been fast and friendly, but I've gotten some pretty good coupons to use in-store, although I usually forget to use them before they expire. On my most recent visit, I came in looking for some earrings. Walking into the door, however, I noticed that the jewelry department had been replaced by a Sephora. It took me a while to find the jewelry, which had been spread out throughout the store, but was mostly located near the children's clothes. It seems like maybe the store is still adjusting to the new layout, because as of right now, everything other than Sephora is kind of hard to find. Of course, I'm thrilled to have a new Sephora on this side of town. It's almost as big as the one at Palladio, and seems to carry most of the same products. This is sure to increase my visits to Kohl's. As of right now, it's clean, well-lit, and organized. The same cannot be said for the rest of the store. I've come to expect large piles of go-backs in the fitting rooms, sizes being completely out of place, and general clutter and disorganization. Other than Sephora, this store has never been great about being clean and organized. The clearance section is a nightmare, and as someone who used to manage a clothing store, this does not make any sense to me. Shouldn't you want your clearance to be well-organized and shop-able so that it sells quickly? In this store, the clearance section is where cute clothes go to die. On my most recent check-in, I noted that a dead rat was lying in front of the store. It was like 4pm, so I'm guessing it had been there for a while. However, I wouldn't necessarily blame this *entirely* on Kohl's, because honestly, there are just a lot of rats in that part of Folsom. Overall, I appreciate the convenience of the store, and the great deals that I am often able to find, but this location could use a lot of work when it comes to neatness. read more

This khols trip was absolutely ridiculous. I downloaded yelp again simply for this review. The dressing rooms were dirty and piles of clothes COVERED the floor. A woman in a wheelchair was unable to get into the handicapped dressing room due to the piles and piles of clothes. Also I was holding the hangers and it left black streaks all over my hands. Finally the prices are ridiculous!!!!! for what you get. All the clothes I tried on were see through and cheap crappy material. Overall the entire store was disorganized and dirty. Until they clean up and put clothes away i would not recommend going here at all. read more

I can never say enough good about our Kohl's in Folsom,Ca. They always ask if you need help..Friendly, good prices and the extra 50% off clearance you're robbing them. Regularly send out coupons for 30% off clearance and stock through out the store. I love the Kohl's cash. I get stuff that's new lower than many thrift stores. No bad experiences ever. read more

This Sunday I went in because the person had left the sensor tag on my sweater. She takes it off, I go shop and come back because my mom had an exchange. The lady in front of me had the same issue with the sensor tag. However she was old and complained. The woman immediately gave her $10 off. But I had JUST had the same issue and she didn't offer me anything. Even after telling me I was the FOURTH person to come in with a sensor tag problem. Is it because I wasn't old and wasn't rude to her? It was still an inconvenience! It wasn't her fault so I wasn't trying to be mean to her specifically. But if you're going to give it to one person you better give it to everyone with the same problem. read more

Don't like this place. I went in to pick up a pair of shoes for my daughter and jeans for me. Simple enough.. except I'm 99% sure their loss prevention staff was following/communicating about me after I used the fitting room to try on my jeans. Writing this mostly for the girl working in the back customer service area tonight. Also for the store making online pick ups such a breeze. It's bananas right now during Christmas, her line was long, she was currently the only one back there. I didn't have anything ready for her to scan, I didn't know where I was supposed to pick up, and she made it incredibly easy and was friendly the entire time when she could have easily been overwhelmed (partially due to me and so many other shoppers) and I was out of there in less than five minutes. read more

At 5:34 this evening, I went into Khol's and asked for assistance shopping as I am blind. Oscar, the manager on duty, stated he had no one to assist me. He told me he had a manager named Laverne but she couldn't help me. I asked him to help me as I was only purchasing one item. He said he could not do it, Khol's policy doesn't allow for that. After insisting that he provides me service, he gave me Kacey. She was outstanding! During my shopping, I found two other people on the floor, one folding clothes and one putting clothes out. I've never had a problem in this Khol's when Susan was manager. My problems began once Roger became manager. Oscar essentially lied to me saying that he had no one to help me when he had three people who could help me. I will be talking to an ADA attorney. This is not the first time I have had this problem since Roger became manager. Oscar's attitude toward me as regular customer was abominable! read more

I have never been so appalled by a retail store! The only reason I gave them a one star review is because I had to put something! I walked in, everything was a mess. Eventually I gave up trying to find anything and left. For a comparison: The Thrift Store is more organized, and it's mostly volunteers. Most of the racks advertised that they were 30% to 50% off, and I got items that were on those racks that were marked down, but when I got to the register, they didn't give me the advertised discount. Went to Sephora to get some recommendations on the new Rare products. The heavy set manager there was rude and was more interested in putting up her display than giving me her full attention. It wasn't like they were busy. I was the only customer in there. When someone else approached her to ask where the Amazon return was, she took time and went out of her way to show him where it was located. I have been shopping this store for many years and have always been pleased with my purchases. The store is clean, offers a wide selection of clothes/merchandise, and the employees are always helpful and kind. I primarily shop the discount clothes racks and always use coupons when available. By the time I finish I am usually able to get 90% off all my purchases. There is ample parking and I highly recommend this store. :0) read more

I have been to this location a few times. Pretty much the same story each time, plenty of inventory but the staff is not so good. The store has always been pretty busy the times I have been here and the checkout process is not the best. Not enough checkout lines open and it seems to take longer here than other places for an employee to ring up a person. The holidays are far worse. Definitely not good for a visit at lunch. This Kohl's has what I am looking for. The layout and selection is very good but I don't go in unless I have a lot of time. So to sum up this place I would say "well stocked but not well staffed". read more

I don't shop at Kohl's too often but I was just at the gym across the street from this place and thought I should take a look. There was ample parking outside and I walked into the craziness of the Juniors section. They had racks and racks of sale items including dresses, jeans, tops, skirts, and jackets. Apparently they were trying to get rid of their summer and spring items in preparation for the fall. I looked around and found a cute dress that I liked (just because it's September doesn't mean I can't rock a summer dress especially if it's still 80s outside). I also went to take a look at their home goods section and found King size pillows at a reasonable price. The store itself was a little overwhelming. There aren't a lot of good sizes and the store is just filled with tons of merchandise. It would be hard to come here and only spend an hour because one would have to spend about 2-3 hours to cover the entire store. Some sections are bit disorganized and you have to dig to find anything worth getting. They have designers such as Vera Wang, Jennifer Lopez, Daisy Fuentez and Lauren Conrad in the Ladies department with some decent items. I didn't find anything that I had to have but good to know it's available here. The lines to check out were a bit horrendous (minus one star). I would say they needed like 2-3 more cashiers to help ring up. Maybe because the prices are so great, that everyone wants to get their items and leave! I sure did. I walked out only having spent less than $30 with two pillows, a cute top and a summer dress! I joined Kohl's Rewards and even got more coupons for my next trip! read more

Not sure if it's just this store, or the whole chain, but Kohl's is entirely unprepared to accept Amazon returns. They were completely taken off guard by the sheer number of people waiting at the customer service desk to get help. Based on the packages and boxes being carried by folks waiting in line, I'd say 3 out of 4 people are there to return something from Amazon. Did Kohl's staff extra people to work in customer service to process these returns? Nope! It took a good 20 mins to make a simple return in the middle of the day on a week day. And when I got there, there was only about 5 people in front of me... by the time I left, the line had grown to about 11 or 12. To make matters worse, Kohl's is just generally slow. Particularity in the return department. It took the person in front of me a good 7 mins to return a pair of socks (not an Amazon return). This is piss poor slow! read more

We traveled to the Folsom, CA Kohl's tonight to get some dress clothes for myself. We had the best experience with the lady that worked in check out but gave us great directions to the clothing and tie I was looking for. When we came to check out she helped us with our Kohl's member card mystery savings and we spent a tiny fraction compared to what it would've been out the door using our credit card from Kohl's. She went way above and beyond and I would like to name this outstanding employee "Lynette" or "Leanne" (sorry), thank you so very much, the Folsom store is amazing!! read more

Always loved Kohls until recently. Went n a couple of times in the last couple of weeks. Never again. They have changed everything. I felt like I was shopping at White Front or K-Mart. Everything was complete chaos. Looked messy and unorganized. A new section of Sephora that looks beautiful if I was shopping for makeup at a dept. store, which i am NOT!! The rest of the store is a joke. Clothes hanging everywhere . No order at all. Left with nothing and will not return to this mess. I will be paying off my card and ripping it up. I went to Kohl's on December 26th knowing things might be a bit hectic in the customer service area with everyone returning/exchanging their Christmas purchases. Since, I was not returning anything and just wanted to browse the discount racks and walk off some of the food I ate the day before. BIG MISTAKE. IT WAS HORRIBLE. The store was under-stocked, disorganized and so messy! However, that was not what disturbed me. After waiting in line for over 20 minutes to check out, with two registers open, I asked a walking Kohl's employee if they could open up more registers. The line was now curving and getting longer and longer. She was walking around with a notepad on a walkie talkie and looked like she was in a supervisory position. Her name was Laverne. She looked at me, rolled her eyes, and said with disgust and annoyance "If I find more people I will." She then with attitude, grunted, turned around and walked off. How about, "Thank you for your patience, we will be with you shortly. Thank you for shopping at Kohl's." or "I apologize for the inconvenience, we are trying to find more staff to come up and open registers." Nothing... nothing that made me and all the people behind me feel any better at the miss-management of the store. Who is the manager over there and do they hold employees accountable to deliver on the "Expect great things" motto? I work in the customer service industry in a director level position. If one of my employees treated a customer in this fashion they would be receiving a 'one time notice" and/or be terminated. read more

After going to Kohl's on Thanksgiving night, I'm not sure I like Kohl's any more. They did not have enough staff to handle the crowds. The deals brought people from all around, but the lines for the registers could simply not keep up. It was comical in fact, as the isles were empty and parking lot full.. everyone, and I mean all the way around the store on both sides, were standing in line to pay. I love Kohl's, I just do. They have everything I want and use there, and if you join their rewards program you get Kohl's cash and I've never gone there and paid full price I've always had some form of coupon and gotten a discount. Out of all the Kohl's I've been to, this one has the best layout. I know where everything's at. I always get some form of "can I help you find anything" from an employee and that's enough for me because I like to browse not be bugged. Yes the employees could be more outgoing in their attitude but they are doing there job enough to make me want to come back and shop there. I want it all!! read more

I love this Folsom Kohls, I frequently see the same people working here, Ashely, Hughson, have made my shopping experience great and a few other people whom I don't know their names..Store managers that always make things right. The clearance isles are always good to shop through altho, I have noticed this year some higher prices on some items..I didn't do all my Christmas shopping here as I have in the pasted years, because frankly, my interest rate is way to high, compared to my other credit cards, aaand you must use your Kohls card in many coupon or percentage off deals,and sometimes, the deals only pertain to certain departments, certain brands or online only, to much of a hassle, So I will be paying this card off. Sorry you great Kohls employees three stars because: I hate this because I do love shopping here..but at this % rate..it could take me years to pay it down, and I make double the payment. not worth it when I get my statement, always looks miscalculated. read more
