The ladies that work here are always super friendly and helpful. They take their time with you, not rushed at all. They don't seem bothered if you ask them to check if there's another size in the back, which I know can be annoying to the sales folk. I swear if I lived in the area, I would probably be here way too much, which not might be a good thing because then I would be broke lol. I came in with a $60 return and ended up spending $230. I was standing in line and was ignored by 2 sale associates for the longest time. Another Caucasian customer came in and was immediately helped by one of them. Finally, the other sale associate came over and asked "why are you wearing a mask in here, I thought you were going to rob us". I am very disappointed at the service and blatant racism from this place and will never come back here. read more

I recently visited the Folsom Palladio WHBM store. My first visit was pleasant and I was greeted and assisted by a customer service staff member named Nora. She was helpful and immediately greeted me. I bought a handful of items and a week later I tried them on again and unfortunately a pair of jeans and top seemed to fit more loosely than I recalled. After realizing I misplaced the receipt, I thought I could live with it but then elected to see if an even exchange could be granted without a receipt. I purchased with a credit card so could show this even though my cc statement would not be itemized to show each clothing item but I had a purchase on record. I was willing to accept if policy would not allow the exchange. Long story short, I went back to the same store a week after my initial visit and there were two staff members. One lady with long dark hair and another with long blonde. They didn't greet me at all and in fact, I noticed that they only seemed to speak to women who looked a certain way or who were regulars. I came in right after the gym. I didn't have a hard workout but I certainly wasn't dressed up. I asked the blonde haired lady if I was able to do an exchange and shared I didn't have my receipt. She then asked the dark haired lady and the dark haired lady kept walking as though she was too bothered to stop to explain the process. Honestly, she seemed rude to me immediately. The blonde haired lady proceeded to assist by asking for my phone number. I was surprised because I didn't recall providing my number when I made the initial purchase the week prior but I couldn't recall completely. Well, I was accurate because my number didn't pull my purchase. It had been many years since I shopped at WHBM and didn't realize I had my number in their system because it has been many, many years. Long story short, the blonde woman says my account did not show a recent purchase. The dark haired woman came over and acted bothered but also acted as though I was not being truthful of me making a purchase and treated me as though I was trying to make an exchange with stolen clothing or something to that effect. She insisted how "we always ask for the phone number" and said this several times without me even making mention of not providing a phone number initially. I was insulted and offended. I stated that it is clear that you all don't always ask for the phone number and she just had to state again that they always do. Anyways she began making the exchange but acting bothered to do the transaction and stated if I return or try to exchange again, I would have to go through the same process. It was almost like she was again trying to say I had no proof of merchandise being purchased by me and would be questioned again. I don't know why she was compelled to state this but I made it clear that I would never return to this store and when I left I wrote a complaint to the corporate office while in my car before leaving the Palladio. I couldn't believe the treatment received. I don't usually feel that the color of my skin or how I'm dressed changes how I have been provided service but this really felt like it was the case. I would like to share that corporate responded to my email within 2-hrs time which was impressive. They acknowledged my experience, apologized and offered an online discount. I don't need the discount but appreciated the apology and fast response back. It's unfortunate that a single experience can taint how I feel about returning to this store location but honestly, I'm not wanting to shop at any location or online. I'm newly retired and wanted to enjoy an afternoon of walking around and doing some shopping for an upcoming vacation. I used to love the clothing from WHBM and was excited to begin shopping their again since it had been so long. WHBM is not on my list of places to visit in the future - especially, this location. I would have given a Zero star due to my experience but I gave it 2 stars since my initial experience was positive and the response from corporate was fast. read more

Came here with my wife so she could pick out a dress for our daughter's wedding. As she shopped and tried on dresses, I wandered around the store and did a little people watching. The ladies working at the store were very pleasant, and helpful with my wife, and all the customers I saw coming and going. I had the best shopping experience this afternoon while at White House Black Market. I was looking for a cocktail dress for a party tonight. Of course that's super last minute. I browse through a few stores nothing cut my eye and I was told about this place. Walked in was a little unsure I'd be able to find something tonight Shelley the sales rep came up to me and asked what I was looking for and I told her and Bam she gathered different outfits for me to try on. She was very helpful in checking in on me in the checking in the fitting room. I ended up buying a dress that she suggested and I would never have picked that out myself. I told her the dress was perfect except around the belly area. Of course that's because I'm fat. She said no problem go to Soma and I'll take care of you. She place a call to Samantha at Soma and asked her to pick a few items for me to choose from once I head over there. When I walked over there Samantha greeted me by name and had the items picked up for me to choose. The trip to Soma was a total of five minutes from the time I walked into the time I got my receipt. Excellent customer service does exist and they still exist even during the holiday season. I'm so thankful for this wonderful experience today. I know shopping at the 11th hour can be stressful and Shelli and Samantha at so much sure made this a pleasant trip. read more

Sooo for starters, I have to say, I absolutely love the clothing! Mostly professional attire but they are absolutely beautiful for most part and jewelry is nice too. It is pricey! But good quality. Reason for the 3 is for the service.. was not greeted by either of the 3 ladies and only time they greeted me was when they had to hang up an item up that was right next to me, so kinda had to say hi... I went in looking for all black shirt or dress and was in a rush. If they asked or acknowledged me sooner, I'd be done and out much faster.. but anyways, I will be back because I like the clothes, I guess I can live w out the service, but a suggestion would be (esp. when it's slow), just say hi, even if it's a fake one! The regional manager of this store needs to put his/ her employees through a basic customer service course ASAP. Since day one the employees especially the older brunette lady working here have always been extremely rude and stuck up. They need to get their attitudes in check and remember they are employees at a retail clothing store and are definitely not above anyone. This is a high school teenager type of job or at best someone putting themselves through college. As a regional manager you may also want to get the old brunette ladies hearing checked as when she is behind the counter not selling on the floor she is definitely busy demeaning her customers loud enough for them to hear. This is the cutest location I have been to, with THE MOST HELPFUL employees I have ever encountered in the retail world. White House Black Market is such a STYLISH YET REFINED brand, with its clothing reaching both young and old. They have reasonably priced quality clothes and have great sales periodically. You enter through shiny doors and are instantly greeted with the cutest center display that always has the best jewelry, accessories and the latest greatest outfit. To your right you have a wall full of great options for office and beyond , and to the left another wall of great clothes! The furthest back wall usually is home to their gorgeous dresses, which always FIT TRUE TO YOUR SIZE and like a glove. Then you have your sale section, not one of those dumpy from two years ago sale sections though. I have often found great buys in the sale section and i hate going through huge racks, but this sales section is sooo worth it. Their dressing rooms are tall and spacious and VERY POSH. they have great mirrors in the rooms and a great GRAND mirror in the center of the dressing area in case you want to put on a little fashion show for your shopping buddies. The employees that work here, not only LOVE THEIR JOB, they love fashion in general and all have great taste. They helped me take a more early fall dress on sale and make it more wintery so i could wear it to a holiday party. I overheard them helping another girl find the perfect vacation outfits and how she can take pieces she already owns and how their clothing can be perfectly tied in to her existing wardrobe. The staff loves to help you out and THEY GIVE YOU SO MUCH ATTENTION, i left the store feeling like i have new friends! My least favorite store of all time. The staff is snotty, unhelpful. Asking a question felt like I was a burden. Honestly, you aren't that great. We are not on Rodeo drive. I've had better treatment in Paris. I walked around for 20 minutes, no one even attempt to approach me. It wasn't until I had a few pairs of pants in my hands that someone actually came to my aid. Very Bad Policy at WHBM. Turns out if you choose not to sign up for the rewards program they will not give you a refund if you return an item. I was told that because I didn't sign up when I made the purchase I could not get a refund on the spot even with my receipt and credit card in hand. My only choices were a gift card or wait for corporate to mail me a check which would take "about three weeks". I opted for the check because I feel abused being punished for not signing up to give out my information to be sold and to be solicited to by WHBM and then to be coerced into taking store credit rather than getting my money back. And to get the check I had to give up my information anyway. Bottom Line, I'll not be shopping there anymore. read more

The staff at the store is pretty poor they're not customer friendly at all they spend more time gossiping between themselves than helping customers so most of the time the folks were behind the counter having a conversation while several customers were wondering around at the store. This is my favorite store!!! I can always find casual and dressy clothes that fit well! Their petit line is expanding for us that are less tall than the average height woman! Lynn is my favorite personal shopper! She knows my style and is great at making suggestions to coordinate outfits! Lynn is also honest when something isn't the best look or fit for me! I have been a long time fan of White House Black Market but I will not be returning to Folsom Ca store. I like to dress down when I shop for comfort and I guess for this store it's not okay?? I was completely ignored even though I was the only one in the store at the time. Then another gal walked in dressed much nicer than I and was attend immediately.
