Customer service is horrible at this store. I just left about $300 worth of merchandise at an empty register because there was no one to check me out. The one clerk that was there was struggling and instead of putting problem customers to the side, just stood there waiting for help. In addition, they were stocking in the middle of the day and I could hardly get around the boxes and for sure the employees wouldn't move or help. Employees in this store are just plain RUDE. Way too easy to shop on line or elsewhere to put up with that crap. read more

The worst online ordering system and customer service. I ordered 4 items online as Christmas presents. All were sent to my home except one which was sent to the store. No reason given why this happened. La Quinta (LQ) customer service couldn't answer. Then the LQ store couldn't find the order in the system despite having all the paperwork and bar code. They finally find the item, but can't tell me when it is arriving. 2 weeks beyond receiving the other items, I get an email stating the item has arrived. I call LQ store and ask them if they can extend the pick up day by one day. The customer service representative says sure, and I will give you 2 days instead of one. I went down the very next day to the LQ store to pick up the item. I waited while they tried to locate the item in the system. Of course they couldn't locate the item because the customer service person from the night before never bothered to update or extend the pick up date, so they returned the item. I will never order online again nor give my business to this LQ store. Something so simple made ridiculously inconvenient and a complete hassle. The kicker... not once was I I offered an apology for their poor communication or lack of customer service. read more

Totally disappointed. This used to be my "go to" store for everything. But it has gone way down hill. The glass doors look water damaged and scummy when you walk in. Many of the brands (clothing) I used to buy are now gone. The boys section is abysmal. They seem to be catering to a different clientele. I'm not a Kohl's shopper, for no particular reason other than not I'm just much of a Retail person finding most of what I need at thrift shops and occasionally Target/Walmart. Recently I popped in to use a store credit I had from a year ago when I returned a gift. This was a particularly busy day being that it was the Sunday after Black Friday. I looked around some. The store was very well stocked and quite neat considering it must have been crazy the few days before. I found prices to be cut on most items with extra savings offered on top of already discounted prices. They had a large selection of women's slippers which is always a great gift for family members and for the self! I ended up buying myself a nice black long tunic blouse that I got for less than half off once all the discounts were taken. I was very pleasantly surprised by the quality customer service I experienced at the purchase line. My cashier offered to open me up a Kohl's charge so I could save even more money. She was genuinely happy for me to get such a great discount! I was so pleased with my experience and loved my blouse so much that I returned to Kohl's Ranch Mirage the following day to purchase the same blouse in another color! Once again I received such nice customer service at checkout with the employee and department manager (who ok'd me to receive the same discount I got the day before even though the discount changed for cyber Monday.) I have a feeling I will be stopping by Kohl's more often now. I've always heard they offer a lot of discount coupons and who doesn't like a good deal and good service? I hate to say it but I kind of dread coming to this Kohl's. It's always disorganized with clothes on the floor and hardly any staff in any of the aisles to help assist you. Or they're tasking and don't bother to ask. I do appreciate their return policy though. read more

The most unprofessional security staff in the history department stores. Today my wife and son went shopping @ the LA Quinta Kohl's store. My son street clothes were taken by a store employee out of the dressing room and held by the stores Security staff for over an hour. They did not respond to my wife's request for help in resolving this matter. My son was left without his personal clothing including his shoes. The stores security was confrontational about returning my son personal belongings to him. My wife and son were treated so badly by YOUR security staff customer's standing by were shocked. I am not the type of person to complain. However this was more then a rued employee having a bad day. I will not be one of those husbands and father who will let someone treat his wife and son disrespectfully. Not now, Not ever. read more

I have had bad experience with 2 managers. Today, I picked up an online order which was fine, but then we picked up a few more items and asked to pay at customer service, apparently the coupons I had in my wallet were online only, so Samantha was helpful and helped me order on line, she notified her manager Yvette, Samantha let her know that all the items were available, Yvette shortly comes to customer service, with an attitude and "not" so customer service face grabs stuff and walks out while rolling her eyes. Samantha tells us after she hung up with Yvette, that we would have to wait for an hour or come back. After a long day and my husbands medical issues, we just wanted our stuff "that was on the counter" this happened another time, the manager that evening was so nice and great customer service personality, they helped order and, did an override, applied the coupons and gave us our items. So easy and helpful. So Yvette insists there's nothing that can be done, we get in the car and drive 1/2 home in which we live 20 minutes away, and get a notification that "our order is ready" Another time, a black widow came crawling out of a pair of jeans my daughter was trying on, thankfully I was fixing the cuff, otherwise she would have stuck her leg in and could have been bitten. I told the manager, sadly, I can't remember his name, very tall man in 40-50's with an bad attitude. He grabbed the jeans from me and went and put them back on the rack and walked away, had my daughter been bitten kohl's would have been responsible and sadly the manager wanted to shut me up with a 20% discount, I didn't take anything from him, I suggested he remove the pants from the track in case there were eggs laid in the pants, he said yes I will and walked in the other direction from now on I will drive to Palm Desert, much father but It seems that there is a small percent of good store management and customer service in the La Quinta store. I feel bad that I don't have the name of the two who were very helpful, from now on I will make sure to get their names and give them good reviews. read more

This location is nice, I like that I usually find what I'm looking for in the toddler department, but the shoe department is usually low on newer/season styles so I'm left having to drive an extra 15 minutes to the PD location staff is mostly friendly and kind the times I've been here in the past month. Has plenty of parking but very few shopping carts which can be frustrating at times. read more

i was in Khol's this afternoon shopping for homecoming, and i simply wanted suspenders and slacks. So i blindly grabbed a pair of slacks that were in my size and headed off to the checkout(these were 60$ slacks). my mother stopped a worker and asked for help on what his opinion was on the outfit, he COMPLETELY disagreed with the outfit and walked with me to find a better outfit. The man took a good look at me and suggested sizes for me and surprisingly, the sizes he mentioned fit PERFECTLY. then he helped me with a pair of slacks that were MORE THAN HALF less then the 60$ ones that fit so perfectly and looked better. Then he helped me pick out a whole pair of shoes and put my outfit from head to toe in a stylish fashion. His name was Shayden, who ever this store manager needs to raise this man's pay, he talks, negotiates, and gives suggestions to the outfit you want. his energy as well is something ive never seen in a worker at ANY kind of store. For that, everytime i go to Khols for help on fashion, I'm ALWAYS going to Shayden for help because his opinions and thoughts are that good read more

Not happy with Kohls La Quinta customer service at all! They need to get their act together. This is the second time I have had problems with their customer service in La Quinta. They were supposed to hold some items for me till the next day,took my name and phone number and said they would hold it for me. I went back the next day like I said I would. They did not have my items held like they said they would. The first time it happened it took three people to look and nobody could find it. I looked myself in their back area and it was right in front of their eyeballs! The second time this happened, my stuff was nowhere to be found again. One of their employees said "Well if they cleaned up the back office and not leave it a mess all the time, maybe they would find stuff" I tried to order one of the items online, and it was not sold any more online. We try to look for items again in the store, to see maybe if they put them back but were nowhere to be found. I gave them my phone number again and said to call me if they ever found my items but nobody ever called me.Very disappointed! I've shopped at Kohl's often since they opened. The junior department has nice clothes, and Kohl's carries a good assortments of Skechers. The store has improved greatly in the last couple of years. No more long lines, and the staff is very helpful and friendly. The lingerie department is always very neat and organized. It's become a pleasure to shop there. read more

I just left the store in shock of how this black male treated a customer doing a return he was being so loud & putting her buisness out their nd thats how i was able to hear what was going on it made no sense how he dint want to give her a return when she had the item with no recipe but the item was in her account he was being just so rude and the whole time shes just stayed calmed but i can tell she was getting upset but kept her cool i had to cath up to her and tell her even tho i dont work their i am sure if she called customer service or corpporate &they would be able to help her & i my self would complain about this cause it was NOT right read more

Love Kohl's as a store in general. This location, however, has unexperienced staff for customer service sake. I don't believe I've ever been asked if I was finding anything okay or if I needed help. I don't think I've really seen people working anywhere else other than at the cash registers or the return desk. Kohl's also has a habit of pushing for their Kohl's charge card and rewards program. So expect the cashiers to ask you every time you shop. read more

This review is for the online Kohls shopping. I ordered a 6-1high chair (again not sold in stores) and thry sent me a 4-1. Called to inform them they sent the wrong one. They said it no worries we will send out the wrong one after you return the other one. I just had a baby and they wanted me to carry it in to the store. After that I had to call to reorder.i then again got the wrong item. When I called to complain about that one they told me the online and distribution center have two different SKU numbers and they may not have the 6-1. After sending 1 1/2 hrs on the phone I cancelled the whole order and then they told me it would take 7 days to get a refund!!!! So ridiculous. Never again. read more

Zero stars for the customer service rep at the desk. Older lady. At her shift around 5 today sat, june 23rd. Went in to exchange some adiddas for my son. Their sizing was a bit reduced. I didnt really pay attention until about a weeks ago. Its been 3 weeks since i got them. You could tell she had a bad attitude going on because she kept looking at my happy laughing toddler like it was annoying her because she kept giving him aweful looks. She didnt even bother to indroduce herself or any type of welcoming attitude. said she could give me my money back because thats all she could do for me and that i could look at their monitor installed to order something. Dont really shop at kohls so i had no idea what she was talking about and how that was going to solve my wrong size shoe. I just wanted a bigger size same danm shoe. She couldve looked at her inventory and said oh wr have one let me get you someone who can look for it but she didnt. She couldve called another store and asked for a size but nope. She all she could do was give me the money back and basically figure it myself out. She looked so lazy to even do her job. Change your attitude, if you dont like working there leave the job. But dont be rude to customers because thats what your doing at the customer service dept. If all she wants to do is handle money send her to the registers. I went to the shoe dept. And there was a nice young man by the name of christopher that said if he could help me. He went to make sure the shoe wasnt there and when he saw it wasnt, checked the inventory and found that they had one in stock. Although they had one it seemed to me misplaced. He still tried looking everywhere for it but couldnt and when that didnt work he went the extra mile to call palm desert where there was 4 in stock and saved me a pair. I went did the exchage and it was simple. If it wasnt for christopher i wouldnt of even ever thought of coming back to kohls because honestly that rep at the service desk was aweful. ... i hope someome manages to give her a reality check. Dont place someone lazy where there is a need to have great customer service. I really wished i wouldve grabbed her name. For someone who travels all over the country and visits many Kohl's stores...this one is pretty fantastic! What many people don't realize is that Kohl's sells different merchandise in different regions. I come out to the desert several times a year and this is where I buy all my warm weather clothes. Last time I was there, this gentleman asked if I needed any help and I said yes. Little did I know it was the General Manager. He went out of his way and spent about 20 minutes helping me. Never in all my travels have I had such a good experience at a Kohl's store. read more

Treated so rudely, went last Fri with 5 shirts and 2 flip flops the register area was empty no line no clerks but there was what I assumed to be a manager in slacks and shirt tie as I approached my hands full I pointed at the register he was standing in front of and said "this one" he points to the next one where there is a cleaning lady cleaning the inside area of register so I go there and he looks around for clerk but there are none so he decides to ring me up, his first words " do you want to save 35% today by using your kohls card" I said no thank you and he goes " YOU DONT WANT TO SAVE 35% ! " I said No I dont have aKohls charge and I dont want a Kohls charge, he never spoke to me the entire transaction after that until I paid and I was putting my card away in my wallet and he tries to hand me my bag he says here maam. I kept sliding my card in my wallet and he says it again ! he canc learly see I am not ready and im trying to put my bank card away and there is still no line. I was also thinking this yahoo didnt even ask me for my rewards card info and then It was then I realized my total seemed high so I look at the receipt and 3 of my 5 shirts were identical same shirt 3 colors but two were XL and one was 1X as they didnt have color in XL all were on same rack all said 9.99 my receipts said 14.99 for two of them and 24.99 for the other so rather than deal with this guy I went back to clothing dept (Womans) and I found a clerk and showed her my receipts she tells me that Im probably in wrong dept I said no, there is the rack and there is the sign 9.99 she says well maybe it was misses dept this is womans I Said this is where they are and where I got them, look , all sizes are here one rack she asks to see my shirts and she said well you have 2 XL an one 1 X the XL are misses I will credit you those for 9.99 but the 1X is womans and its more expensive I said Im in the womans dept and u can see the sign all sizes are there S-3X and sign says 9.99 you want 24.99 for the same shirt 1X but 9.99 for the other 2 she says well there is more material on the 1X ! She said someone didnt sign it right S-XL should be misses dept and 1-3X should be womans, the sign is in the wrong dept as well, I took all my stuff right back to customer service and retunred all of it Im done with this store. read more
