Kohl's is a solid department store chain, and they run frequent sales- literally almost any item you pick up is almost guaranteed to be on some sort of discount. This is nice, but it's also irritating in that their original prices are overinflated in the first place so the "sale" price is more of a regular price but I digress. Came to this location this afternoon to browse. Clearance section was an unorganized mess, as were the fitting rooms. I ran into a few different employees but none greeted me, which was a bit odd. Signage now is digital, which saves the employees having to replace sale signage constantly- however, I noticed some was inaccurate or flat-out wrong (see image: sale price for "V-neck shirts" with undershirts that aren't V-necks at all). Managed to find a few bargains: athletic shorts for $9 and a solid purple modal tee for a more casual work look, $6- both rang up even lower at the register ($6.75 and $5, respectively). I came in after work today at around 3/3:30pm. I was looking for a good cream highlight and finally was able to get Black Opium Perfum which i've been so so excited to finally get. I came to Sephora to ensure I was getting the perfum I am paying for not some off brand perfum in the same bottle. I get home later that night and open it up to find some RANDOM never heard of before perfume inside the plastic wrapped black opium box. NOT EVEN the right bottle with fake perfume. complete different perfum. I go back Immediately because I don't want to get turned away. I just paid $200 for this perfum. The same lady who checked me out earlier called a manager and she said she could not return it or she would get in big trouble because of the price. She said all she can do is contact someone and i have to wait for a call. I asked for contact information and they gave me the store number. I was so upset my eyes began to water. I felt so uncomfortable and made out to feel as if I put the random perfume in the box. why would I spend so much money for no reason? Super upset. I just want my black opium :'((( read more

This would've been 4 stars if it hadn't been for my recent order. Women out there know how difficult it is to find the "perfect" jeans. Well, I found my current favorite at Kohl's which is Rock & Republic. Perfect for running errands and even a night out, I just pair it with some heels or cute boots. I was ready for another pair and was looking for black but they didn't have my size so I looked online. I had some Kohl's cash and a coupon so you know me, gotta take advantage of the deals. Dave Ramsey has me on a budget :-). Package arrives, I'm excited and this is what I get (see picture). Grrrrrr! I called to let them know but I was put on hold for so long that I had to hang up, I had work. Over a week later, I still don't have time to bring it to the store so I asked my husband to stop in at Kohl's to get the security tag removed. The hassle of having to go there when you paid for shipping does not make me a happy customer. Not much folks were shopping so the store was almost to ourselves. First thing I do when visiting any Kohl's branch is to check their Clearance racks. I was unlucky, but Wifey scored an excellent bargain. Although our luck wasn't great on this particular visit, it wouldn't stop us from returning. Before moving to Las Vegas, I have only shopped at Kohl's once several years ago in California. It just wasn't my kind of store with the inventories they carry back then. The store was large (2 stories) and had a lot of different merchandises, but the quality just didn't seemed to be there for the price. Fast forward at least 4-5 years and a little further SE to southern Nevada. On my way to Summerlin Parkway, I usually drive past this location, and I actually went there with a friend who was shopping for dress shirts or suits (can't remember, but that's not important). On that trip I didn't buy anything, but look around the entire store and gain a sense of what items they have. Skip a few more months ahead, and I received some promotional mailing for take additional 20% off on top of whatever discounts they are already offering. Sounds like a great deal and I am in the market for some new shoes, maybe some shirts. I ended up buying way more than I had expected (it was like going to Costco for a family size pack of tri-tip steak and going to the register with 30 items). But the receipt said I save $600+ on that purchase. And I was hooked and really needed to watch how I spend my money here. The latest promotion that I used today was a $10 off purchase of $20+ (pre-tax), and i ended up with nice Egyptian Cotton Mattress Pad for my bed. And saved another $54. Woot! The line is rarely long here, even though they seem to have sales and promotions going on so often. And the store has a fairly decent amount of shoppers. Parking has never been an issue for me. Location is great for me and those living close to Charleston and Durango (pretty close to Summerlin Parkway). And if you need a quick meal or snack, there is a Jack In The Box i the same strip mall. When I don't see a certain item on the shelf, I have always been assisted by a friendly and helpful Kohl's Associate, who will check their stock room to see if that item is in stock. They don't always have it, but it can't hurt to ask. And by asking I was able to buy the exact item I was looking for today. I really appreciated the help I got when I asked for some jeans in my size and the sales lady went to the back room and checked for me. I've only been to Kohls a handful of times, mostly to shop for my kids, reminds me of a pricey Mervyns-but I like it. The only time to go is when they are offering a $10 coupon or when they have a great sale. Since I love all things JLO I had to come and check out her line, nice but not worth paying full price. Kids clothes are nice and you can find some great deals when they have a sale. The only thing that is a negative for me is if I have to stand in line longer than I've been shopping-its a deal breaker. And checking out seems like it takes forever in all KOHLS stores! The merchandise looks good & the sale items are great. They have stuff marked down 60%, 70%, 80%, & 90% of original price. But you have to pick thru the rack like TJMaxx & the sizes are on the wrong hangers. The dish ware sets were marked 50% off this week for instance for some cute seashell motif stuff which you could get a whole set of at a fairly decent price. All in all, if you need something & it's on sale or clearancing out, you can get a fair to great deal. It doesn't seem crowded so that may not bode well for the store's health. read more

For instance. . . I got a Vera Wang dress that was 80% and ended up paying $12 for it. My husband and son got some nice dress shirts for $5-6 and my son, who LIVES in Dockers was able to buy every color in the rainbow for $9 each (even got a couple for $7 each). You do have to be tenacious because often sizes are mixed around by customers and you just have to look at everything. But the pay off is awesome. Oh, open a Kohls account like we did, and you get another 20% off. Plus, the week we were shopping there, you get Kohls Cash, for every $50 you spend, they give you $10 in Kohls cash to spend the next week. Kohl's is a reliable store. I can make a checklist, quickly find parking, and mark off each item with alacrity and ease. I was invited to a child's 1st birthday party, I purchased a BPA free children's tables setting with bowl, spoon and cup. Wrapping and cards were available too. We were off to a day trip to Lake Mead. I needed a couple of beach towels and children's rubber textured water sandals. Towels were 70% discount! Shoes were on sale too. The stock of items was plentiful and I always appreciate a sale price. The coffee maker broke. Rather than fret or wait to drive to a favorite store like Sur La Table, Kohl's was me rescue. Purchased a Pokémon booster card pack online for store pick up. After waiting for the drive up order we decided to park and go inside. I picked up the item from the customer service desk and decided to walk to the side of the store with toys to see if they had anymore packs we wanted to buy. Well, when we get over there, every single pack is opened and thrown all over the aisle. I decided to check the bag(the one I've just purchased but not looked at yet) and sure enough the tin has been opened and every single pack inside had been opened and gone through. The worst part is that, the person who went to the aisle to get my pick up order must have seen them all opened and picked them up and put them back inside the box and sold them to me as if nothing had happened.. wtf? read more

I came to pick up four gift books that I saw listed online for clearance for 99 cents and $3.99. In store they were still listed at $9.99 so when i approached the register the cashier informed me, Kohl's does not price match their kohl's.com pricing. I stepped to the side and pulled up kohl's price match policy per their website which shows that they do price match their website. I see a manager (Suzanne) walk by and say excuse me, she turns around throws her hands in the air and says she can't do two things at once and she's busy taking a phone call and that I have to wait. I didn't mind waiting but it was the way she responding to me as if I was inconvenience to her. When i get called to the next cashier for me to show her the price match policy she calls up another manager, Brian, who turned out to be a real solid asset to Kohls, NOT. Brian is argumentative from the jump and is acting like i made up a fraudulent kohl's website link with fake pricing and doesn't want to honor the price. I literally show brian step from step how i started at google.com and typed in the name of the book and the word kohl's and the link that pops up which is on the mobile kohl's website. I encourage brian to do the same so he can see the legitimacy of the website although at this point i damn near feel like I'm being treated like I'm a con woman or something. Brian refuses to price match. At this point i was in the store for 25 minutes and had to pick up my daughter from school. I kindly asked for the district managers number because i was really upset with the entire experience from start to finish and brian tells me he's the store manager and that's that. I then ask him for the kohl's customer service phone number. Honest to god, i stand with him for about 3 minutes while he pretends he can't find the number. No problem Brian, clearly as you know i know how to use google and i will find the number myself and I walk out. He condescendingly screams "have a great day!" I can't even believe the customer service experience I had here. In one word HORRIFIC. As a marketing professional myself, I think it's absolutely tragic when line-level employees who clearly hate their job ruin all the work a company spends on branding their company. I will NEVER return to Kohl's ever and Suzanne and Brian, i know things can get stressful in retail around the holidays (even though the store was not busy) but if you hate your job that much, find a new one. read more

Kohl's reminds me of what JC Penny was like when I was growing up....a find everything department store.....only with better stuff. The odd thing is that I never "want" to go to this Kohl's, but I invariably end up here when searching for a gift for someone. Unlike their Irvine location, they don't have any USC gear, so it's not on my regular shopping list. I've found many birthday and Christmas gifts here. I bought a golf accessory set for a few of my golf buddies for Christmas last month.....they loved it and it was priced just right at $14.99. The only complaint I have about this place is it seems to be slightly understaffed. I've had difficulty finding help when I need it. What brings me back? Kohl's Bucks! I love them! I was lucky enough to be with my GF when they handed her $40 in Kohl's Bucks. I knew she woudl forget so I graciously offered to carry them for her. Heh. I reminded her several times, and got the go ahead. SO, armed with $40 to spend I trotted off to spend it. They have all kinds of clothes, and make up, purses, shoes, socks, kitchen stuff, bathroom stuff. Decorations for all those, and more. I got a purse that was $60 for $25 and a wallet 25% off. So it was all FREE! Yay! The kitchen section caters to the cooking channel crowd, with upscale items. We bought a Celphalon Pan set, with lids last time, and they are gorgeous. The towels for the bathroom are soft and absorbent, and they carry some smelly salt stuff, and some cooking foody type stuff.I have bought blenders, and mixers here, my Kitchenade Mixer makes bread and cookies easy, which with my pain issues is important to me, Giant, well lit parking lot, VERY freindly cashiers who tell you about every upcoming sale event. I like knowing if I should wait on a purchase. read more

My favorite thing about Kohl's is the return policy. There is no time frame, and receipts and tags are not mandatory. My mom bought me a gift one year, and it didn't fit so I planned to return it. Of course I forgot, and when I took it back like 6 months later, they didn't say a thing. Be advised if you do not have a receipt you will get store credit, and they do take your license number to keep track of how many returns you do per year. Kohl's has your typical department store setup. Different sections all throughout the store with signs telling you what's what and where to go. You can usually find me in the shoe and jewelry departments. They almost ALWAYS have a sale, and they have clearance racks o' plenty. The clearance racks are usually a hit or a miss though. One thing that bugs me is they have junior plus size online, but not in store. And they don't have a ship to store option, so I do have to pay extra for shipping. I think shipping is free if you spend over a certain amount though. I do like when they offer Kohl's cash, I think they do this a few times a year. If you are a Kohl's cardholder, you get coupons in the mail for certain percentages off. It's not my favorite place to shop, but it's close to my house and it will do in a pinch. read more

Not related to this specific store, but to the entire company itself. After logging in to my Kohl's charge account, it takes 3 deliberate clicks and entering bank account information before selecting the big green "I AGREE" button to sign up for AutoPay. Then, presumably, you would get an email that thanks you for signing up for AutoPay. Yet I have never received such an email, and Kohl's claims that I must have accidentally signed up for this after 5 years of making manual payments. For the past two months, Kohl's has DOUBLE charged me. I make my payment, and then they still AutoDraft my bank for the exact same payment. When speaking to customer service, they claim that if I make only the minimum payment due, that they will still AutoDraft me. So just using simple math, if my bill is $50, and I log in and pay $50, then they claim they will STILL draft me another $50. Never mind the fact that once the payment is made, that the amount due is now $0, but they claim that our Terms and Conditions tell us they will still draft a payment. It hasn't happened in 5 years, but now it is happening. Not satisfied with this insane answer, I asked for this to be elevated. I got a phone call from a woman claiming to be in the president's office, and that she was the final say for Kohl's. She claims that I must have accidentally clicked into the AutoPay menu, selected to enable it, entered my bank account information, and then clicked the big green "I AGREE" button without realizing it. That is her response to me. Not that there could have possibly been an error or glitch somewhere, because computers are infallible, but that I unknowingly did this to myself after more than 5 years of routine payments the same way each and every time. So let's assume I did blindly hammer away at my keyboard and come up with my exact bank account information and hit agree. If I make the minimum payment due, leaving $0 - ZERO - due, then wouldn't the AutoPay amount be....ZERO???? Logically, the system should recognize that a payment has been made, and cancel out the AutoPay, but nope. Not Kohl's. So then wouldn't they recognize that $0 is due? Nope. Not Kohl's. Do they accept any fault or responsibility that their system, after 5 years of never having an issue, could have screwed something up? Nope, not Kohl's. The customer is NOT right for Kohl's. I logged in and cancelled this AutoPay that I apparently accidentally signed up for, and I immediately got an email confirming the cancellation. But still no email of ever having signed up. Surely they would have proof of me signing up and receiving an email confirmation. But nope. I do, however, have emails from December, Jan, and Feb that thank me for my ONE TIME payments, and having no mention of AutoPay or scheduled payments. I want customer care. I was a fan of Kohl's when they first opened but I grew tired of their sales structure. I shouldn't be forced to use a Kohl's charge to receive my discount. I found myself there over the weekend as a friend needed me to pick up an item they had on hold. I browsed a bit. Tons of sales rack which is great if you are into hunting for deals. I'm not a fan of disorder and it reminds me of an old Mervyn's store. I checked out the Nike section for woman hoping they would have some deals but even their Nike pieces were not the same selection you would find in department store or a sport specific store. It was not even the nicer fabrics or prints. In my opinion their prices are not that great unless you have a 20 or 30 off and the item is already on sale and on top of that you have Kohl's charge. read more

The Skinny: good deals aplenty but shop online instead because it's hard to find anything in store (3). I never shopped at Kohl's before until this year. But I got suckered into buying stuff by the Hubs who gets Kohl's cash alot (I don't know where...they just sort of keep popping up). I mostly shop for my daughter here and I shop online - not in store because it's a major hassle to shop with a infant in tow. That being said, the online shopping experience leaves a lot to be desired because a lot their clearance stuff is strictly online. You have to ship to the home where they charge you for shipping (lame!). Maybe I am spoiled by REI where if you ship to store, the shipping is free. Shopping online and pick up at the store in theory should be easy however it isn't unusual for the customer service desk to be overwhelmed by returns and you have to wait a while to pick up your stuff. The really good thing is the return policy. If you don't like it, returns are really hassle free. Even better - if the item you purchase is not considered clearance, you can pick out something else for MSRP value from the same department. Nice, right? I bought a clothing item (got it really on sale) for the daughter which was too small and returned it for different item from the same brand. Sweet. All the discounts really aren't that good unless you hit a lucky and get 40% off your purchase on top of a sale and combine it with some Kohl's cash or other promotion discounting. read more

My friends used to rave about the deals at Kohl's, but when I'd go, I'd never find anything. A couple of years ago I went back, and I was hooked. I understood what they were talking about, and I loved all the money I was "saving." When I was there the other day, I was transported back to those other times. I could not believe the racks and racks of pure UGLINESS! Clothes that my grandmother wouldn't wear (and she'd be 114 if she were still alive). I couldn't even find any decent underwear to buy. Hmmmm... Idk about you! So I go to the store quite a bit to look for shoes, boys clothes, or clothes that would fit my big chubby thighs. Lol. I don't ever get any coupons because I do not have a Kohls card, but I can sometimes go in there and find some pretty decent deals. Lately I have not been able to find anything everything has been super overpriced, or just not what I liked. This last time that I went into the store, the cashiers looked at me like I was trying to steal something. Now I understand I do have a lot of tattoos, and there is a stigma with them, but I definitely am not a shoplifter. It seems like they were following me around, and I felt really uncomfortable. I was really disheartened that they did not greet me as I walked in, but every other person that walked in they were very nice to them and said welcome to Kohl's how can I help you? I ventured into the shoe area, where was looking for two specific shoes. A ballet flat, or a nice gym shoes. I went around and of course I couldn't find anything there , I finally did find a shoe and I wanted a size that I was not able to find. I went around looking for the cashier or the worker and of course nobody was around. The 1 thing that I do not like in the shoe area, is that some of the shoes are priced differently they say 20 dollars on the box but you ring them up and end up being 30 dollars. Veteran's Day Discount It is really great that Kohl's will honor Veteran's with a 30% discount. When I went to check out, one of the items I bought did not show 30% off. Have to go back to Kohl's to correct that. Two of the items, on clearance, marked $8 and the scanner in store showed $8 but the register $10. The last item a sweatshirt. Now they gave me 15% off plus another 15% off and they considered it 30% off. If you are good at math, you know this is not true. Oh the sweatshirt, they forgot to take of security button off. So as usual, another trip back to Kohl's to, 1 take back item that did not have the 15% +15% discount. 2, take back shirts that had wrong price. And 3rd, have security button removed from sweatshirt. Every time I buy from Kohl's there is a problem. Now you know why I do not shop Kohl's or J C Penney's. read more

Kohl's has always been an alternative to the Mall, Target or Kmart for me. It's not as large, but they have always had what I am going there for. Over the years, I have gotten some pretty terrific deals when shopping there, especially during the holidays. Today though, I was surprised at the checkout. The cashier told me there are no Kohl's bucks for my purchase. Maybe I was always shopping during the weeks they gave out Kohl's bucks and just assumed it was something that they did all the time. The cashier told me that they only give out Kohl's bucks every other week and that they can be redeemed on the week following the week they were earned. I never heard of this policy before so the cashier called over his manager to tell me the same thing. From now on, I'll just have to go elsewhere during the weeks they don't offer Kohl's bucks and I will likely find a department store that will want me to come shop at their store any week rather than every other week. What a way to push customers away Kohl's. If this isn't the way Kohl's bucks are supposed to be earned. Someone needs to let the staff know and post this information someplace so customers will know not to expect any Kohl's bucks on the off weeks. read more

So Kohl's like any place is hit or miss on items at times, can be a lot of uglies before something cute, but when you hit - you can really hit! I check out the clearance at all the stores since they often do 50%- 80% off with additional 25%off the clearance price. If you get emails/mailers then you can get extra 15-20% off coupons or Kohls cash bonuses and such to make it an even better deal. I found I find a lot of pants here on clearance and in my size so score! I normally mostly look at the LC stuff as I think that's pretty cute. I also find a lot of baby stuff here. I don't have a kid, but everyone is having one so I come here for some cute mix and match basics or layette sets for gifts. Recently was able to put together a suit for the BF for super cheap between this store and the one by our house. This is just a place I would say isn't a spot I go to look for something specific as I find I end up empty handed (like I really want a casual blazer for cheap!). But if I'm just looking for new clothes at deals then often I leave rather happy with a happy wallet. Where else can I leave with 8 pieces of clothing and 2 accessories for $60? I went to customer service to pick up an online order, and the counters were covered with piles of clothes. The entire customer service area was a complete mess. The associate asks if I'm here to pick up an online order, I say yes, then she turns her back to me, Messing with the piles of clothes. I ask her if she will help me, and she said that she will shortly. But next helps another customer making a purchase. After paying $9.00 for an order to ship from San Bernardino, CA to Las Vegas, the package is first being sent to Phoenix, then Las Vegas. Ten shipping days for a 4-pound package. This is one of the worst Kohl's . On multiple occasions I have been in search of items and this store has listed online or said they had the items and I have driven to this particular location only for an associate to then tell me they can not locate the item . EVEN though both online and their system is telling them they have the item in stock. One time for a pair of shoes for my daughter and now for a waterproof phone case that I really needed. There was one at target for $20 and this store had one I liked that was MORE expensive and I still wanted it. Drove all the way here and even though it says they have 2 the associates are unable to locate any and say there's nothing else they can do other than call another store . I enjoy coming to Kohls department stores because their customer service is 100% along with their many sales that go on. Visited this location on a Tuesday night. Once I walked in I was greeted by a really enthusiastic associate who ended up signing me up for a rewards card in no time. During my visit the only problem I could say I had was the fact the dressing room was REALLY disorganized. Clothes were EVERYWHERE off hangers , off hooks and on the ground in the middle of the hall. I noticed there was an associate just Laly gagging around too. All in all, kohls ALWAYS has deals and to me they're worth it because it is not cheap fabric whatsoever. I've bought shoes here too and love the fact when you spend over a certain amount you get kohls cash. It states to purchase items within a certain time frame but I've been shopping at kohls to know it's BS. Even expired kohls cash is worth something ! read more
