RACISM is a major issue at this location. I walked around and watched as the white employee greeted every single white woman in that store and kept walking straight past me and my black boyfriend, even while making eye contact. A couple of white girls were walking in directly behind me and my boyfriend. She deliberately didn't acknowledge us, but immediately and enthusiastically greeted them and asked how they're doing. Not to mention, it seems like all employees share the same three brain cells, Nobody is helpful. Everybody just looks around staring like it's their first day on the job. If you need a fitting room, they'll just stare at you. If you look lost, they'll look at you dead in your eyes, then walk the other direction, I am so confused by this location. talking to any of the employees felt like pulling teeth, side eyeing, rolling eyes, short cold responses or none at all. I will never understand why teenagers punish the customers for a job THEY applied for. I am PROUD to say lulu will NEVER get a black cent from me again. Rude hateful location. I love Lululemon! This location is very busy and popular. When there were capacity restrictions inside the store, they would consistently have a long line. Now that things are back to normal, I'm happy to walk on in, grab some hand sanitizer, and be greeted by the wonderful, welcoming staff. It's a pretty spacey location with many dressing rooms to try on and a large variety of styles and sizes. I always find things I love but the sale rack always seems to be picked through and I can rarely find a steal there. Expect that if you're going to visit this location and plan to leave with something new, you will most likely pay full price. If you're a Lulu fan, you're probably ok with this. Lululemon is a really nice brand. Their things are very cute, and pretty high quality. It is so popular, so a lot of the time, things are out of stock which gets annoying. The brand is very overpriced, and probably worth a lot less. The service depends on where you go, but with all my experiences, the service has been very good. I have spent so much money at Lululemon over the years. I came in with a bag of items all new with tags that was gifted to me for my birthday that my stepmom got for me but not my sizes. I came to return them and was going to buy things in my correct size and probably even more than what I was returning. But no, the employees were rude, wouldn't even look at my items I had or return any of them, not even for store credit. They treated me as if I was a felon and with such disrespect- in front of my kids and basically told me to F off. I'm honestly just so disappointed with how they treated me and wouldn't even give me store credit to purchase other items while I was there. The whole interaction was so disappointing. read more

Men don't let your ladies talk you into trying these clothes, they are strictly for ladies. I normally wear all black Nike and Underamour gear to work out. I got two shirts as a gift, one of which I am happy with (the black one). The other shirt was light blue and the drama unfolded when I went to return/exchange the shirt. I stressed that I didn't want my sweat to show. Both my ladyfriend and the sales person insisted that the shirt would not show too much sweat. Fight at the cash register, blah, I lost, shirt came home with me. It is lightweight, too lightweight, it sticks to me as soon as I get a mililiter of sweat on me! Not only can you see my sweat, you can see it pooling at individual sweat pores! 5 minutes after putting it on I am pissed, this is a $50 workout shirt that I hate. What can I do? I call the store... 'I am sorry sir but it is already worn, we can't take it back' 'I don't want you to take it back... I just want to cut some of my $50 loss at this time for a shirt that I won't wear. In fact, I can't even think of a friend that would be interested in taking this $50 bumble-bee-wing-weighted-sweat-mop'n'show off my hands for free. Can you give me a coupon or 1/2 value gift certificate if I return to you and you can give it back to corporate telling them it failed beta-testing???' 'Let me get the manager.' I hear the sales person talking to the manager. 'No, because the tags have been removed, we cannot do anything for you.' 'So i should have worked out with the tags on first?' 'Umm, you can call our corporate customer line...' I give all my feedback on the toilet-paper-thin-metal-threaded-so-it-doesn't-smell-sweat-magnet and that's the end. I now have an expensive windshield rag. I would rather buy UnderArmour 5X a year than Lululemon once a year. There is nothing special at this store for men. "Oh but the clothes are so comfortable" says the ladies. That is because the women's clothes are designed (well, I might add) to be flatering and comfortable and revealing in the right areas (which makes the female mentally comfortable). 2 words: wunder under. These are the best workout pants I've found yet. They are seriously like a second skin and oh-so-perfect for any kind of workout. Though technically created for yoga, I think they're also quite suited for cardio machines. They're pricey - at $72 for a cropped pair - but to me they're worth it for the fit and comfort. The shop at short pump isn't huge, and it's easy to navigate. As you'd expect with a lululemon, the staff is friendly, helpful and upbeat. Finding motivation to exercise can be difficult enough; shopping for exercise gear shouldn't add to the excuses. Aside from the cost, lululemon helps you look good and feel good while sweatin' it out. read more

On May 6th, the doors will open for Lululemon Richmond's FIRST STORE located in the Short Pump Mall. I adore the girls who have been educators at the West Main location, and can't wait to see what the new store looks like in a few days!!! I love these workout clothes so much that I want to workout. I also use them for lounge wear because they are like a second skin. So soft and the fit is magical. Service is friendly and the staff is very knowledgeable about their product. They also have a men's wear line. Would have given 5 stars but the prices are painful. It is difficult to explain to people why it's necessary to spend $48 or short shorts or $98 for Yoga pants. Allow me to tell You why: 1. The short shorts don't ride up! As any girl knows short shorts are the choice for running, crossfit, lifting, etc. But it's always annoying when they ride up! These do not! 2. They make Your Butt look amazing! 3. They do not trap odor like other workout gear when it's worn over and over again 4. The band on their Groove Short and their pants have an extra thick/cute waist band which prevents muffin top! (or minimizes) 5. They last and last through multiple washes! 6. Did I mention they make Your butt look great? So there is a short blurb about why lululemon is worth the price. Sure You can buy Target brand...and You will buy them again in 3 months when they've worn out. When it's all said and done, You will have paid the same price for the Groove shorts...so why not invest up front? This kind of investment in workout clothes makes little sense for people that don't work out much. But if You workout regularly and are constantly washing workout clothes, this is the brand for You. Oh the staff is nice too. Some of the girls aren't as knowledgeable as they should be at times, so do a little research before going in to target Your search a bit. I needed to update my teaching wardrobe and Saba and Townley took extra special care of me. They listened to my needs (shelf bra, full length tops, etc) and picks out PERFECT pieces for me. Athletic clothes that are functional and flattering to all body types. I'm surprised it's taken so long for something like this to show up. The sales staff are phenomenal and highly knowledgable in the technicalities of the garment fabric and construction. I finally found an athletic top that is oh so cute with perfect coverage and a pair of black yoga pants that are so incredible they can go from yoga studio to gym to the office. I have to say, the customer service in this store is fantastic! The salespeople were incredibly attentive and helpful. The products are expensive, but the quality of the clothes seem worth the hefty price tag. Pretty wide selection of clothing in this store. No kids items that I saw. This review is about my experience at short pump Lululemon. I needed a new strap for my mat and noticed the hours changed due to Covid-19. I made it the location about 6pm. Upon walking in to the store mask on, I was asked to use hand sanitizer, which is perfect with all that is going on in the world. However, it wasn't the asking it was how it was presented . First of you asking the public to pump, you need to have a stand alone hands free pump. Not one that everyone is can put their hands on. Then please be respectful in your tone. Also, they ask for a contactless payment. Well I have Apple Pay and I needed to for less then 10secs to remove my mask for Apple Pay! I was asked not to how did expect me to pay! If you want contactless payment. This is not my first bad experience at this location. I have experienced this many times and now I'm refusing to ever walk in that store again. I truly believe there is some hidden racism amongst the employees due to my experience on several occasions! Sad! read more

I thought this was an awesome location. The workers were soooo nice and kind. I'd honestly like to be friends with them they had a big selection. I got leggings and dress. The workers were obsessed with the dress I tried on because i was the first one and the worker actually recommended it for me! I also got leggings. The store was just re done I believe and it's awesome. The staff is great. Super helpful, willing to give advice, know what they're talking about (even when talking about the men's clothing, I only saw women working while there) and friendly. The clothes are wonderful. Got the pacer shorts and love the thicker waist band. They neither sag nor ride up. The inner support liner is great. Zippered pocket for phone or keys. Also have their underwear, wonderfully supportive, doesn't hold workout odor. Honestly the only reason I didn't give a 5: even with the great quality, the clothing is expensive. I'm just not convinced the cost is in line with the clothing. Haven't had them long so can't speak to the longevity but will update the review when I know more! read more

Terrible return policy! I received a yoga mat as a gift from my daughter. I tried it a few times and didn't care for it. Because I had used it they would not take it back, or even give me a store credit. How would I know I didn't like it if I hadn't tried it? My review is strictly based off the awful customer service I received via phone from the manager Maggie at the Short Pump location in Richmond. Anyone that knows me knows that my entire wardrobe is Lululemon. I love the clothes and I spend a lot of money there. I have been a part of the sweat collection 25% off for over a year, but anytime I go into the store to purchase they give me resistance on it. Then hand you a card and tell you that you have to do all this extra stuff in order to get the discount. When I LIVE CHAT with someone from Lululemon they tell me I'm all set and that the store should honor the discount. One girl even gave me a reference number to give to the store manager, Maggie. When I tried to give her the reference number she said we don't do reference numbers here? LOL really? That's not what the representative I spoke to on the phone prior to live chatting told me. Long story short, Richmond Lululemon will NEVER have my business again. I will be sure to order on-line where I ALWAYS receive the 25% off and I don't have to deal with rude and unhelpful staff. She also told me that you have to be a Group Instructor to get the discount, not a trainer. Pretty sure she just didn't want to help me. No worries!
