I am really disappointed in this store, I went to do a pick up order and when I got home I noticed the sensor was still on. I don't get do they not revise the merchandise before giving it to the customer?? This store has the worst customer service you can imagine.... now thank you I get to take out my baby twins out into the heat, drive 25 minutes and waste my gas again to go get the sensor off when they should have done that in the first place! I'm also calling their corporate office to advice them of their manager having no such bad customer service experience so rude! Man has this Kohl's location really gone downhill lately. The last few times I've been in, things have been so bad that I've wondered if they're maybe having financial issues. Today I bought two items on sale. One rang up 50% more than the sign said, so I mentioned it to the clerk. They still didn't give me the right price, so after paying the marked up price I went back to customer service. I brought the paper ad that showed the right price & told Sharon incustomer service that I wasn't believed. She was totally lost & then proceeded to scold ME for bringing the paper ad! I mentioned yet again that I wasn't taken seriously before--that is why I was there, to get the difference. And the ad proved the correct price that I had to mention 3 times. When I got to the car I realized that Sharon had still charged too much. lol Evidently it takes a rocket scientist to get it there. ;) They have also advertised on t.v. that they have a solid return policy. Conveniently, the ads on t.v. that tout their no-hassle returns have vanished lately. So it's frustrating to hear one thing one month, and another the next. And unfortunately, the employees at this store are utterly clueless when asked for their help, even though their name tags say that they've been there 2 and 3 years, lol. But the doosey was having had a nightmare of a situation after buying a necklace. The flimsy chain broke, so out of my good nature and own money I just went ahead & took it to a jewelry store for fixing. Then it broke again. So it was time to take it back to the store and get them to make it right regarding the chain. A week of hassles and back & forth b.s. ensued. They admitted that they knew the chain was inferior for the pendant, wouldn't make it right, and said I should buy a better one with my own money! Round & round we went until I was forced to play hardball & only then did they begrudgingly do the right thing. Phew! I feel much better having gotten all that off my chest. lol But I'm no glutton for punishment, I'll patronize another location & if the same treatment ensues, nothing will be able to get me return to Kohl's. Love kohls hate this particular one! They never have enough cashiers, EVER!! The store always looks like a hurricane came through, and they always have limited inventory. We bought a $700 umbrella and the manager couldn't even help us take it out of the store, he had one of the cashiers do it who was 5 ft tall! My Recommedation: Go to the Kohls in Riverside or Murrieta if you have a choice! The store is always out of stock on sale items that are in the ad. There are always long lines at the store and the customer service is always horrible! I went to the Riverside location on accident, (needed to use Kohls cash) and I was so shocked that there was a store with what I wanted and NO LINES!!! Also, the cashier was very happy to have my business and was very helpful!! If I can leave one point with someone from Kohls that might be reading this the point would be: "We loyal Kohls customers shop here despite the recession, we spend lots of money, and in turn we expect a small amount of things: short lines, good stock and smiling faces happy to take our hard earned money." read more

Took me way too many years to discover the greatness of Kohl's, but with a friend's persuasiveness I finally made the trip and was in awe at the cleanliness, the selection, and the prices. Nice stop for inexpensive Christmas gifts! One item I brought to the counter didn't have a tag on it, and the employee was energetic enough to go out herself to find a similar item that I believe was cheaper than the one I had chosen. Nice! From other reviews, maybe I need to try returning something before writing this... but I feel based on my experience, the store deserves 4 stars. The only thing that would make it better are wider aisles in the home section... you could hardly squeeze your cart through the lanes! read more

This store is always dirty and the customer service sucks. It seems like everyone is busy doing nothing. I needed something from the appliance section and, of course, no one was on site to help. When I finally found some help, I told her what I needed and if it was possible to check backstock to see if they had anything and after waiting for about 15 minutes, she NEVER returned. What kind of service is that?! Seriously! I had to track down someone else who finally helped me. I will never return to this location. I really like this store much better than the Murrieta location. This store has super kind employees and amazing sales. What don't I love? The lines for returns. Eeek! It's allllllll the way back in the store and the line blocks a good portion of cards so it's awkward if you are there for greeting cards trying to get through the line. And there are no benches. I feel like the cashiers up front should be able to process returns and exchanges. This store is always clean! That's for sure. It really is. The messiest part would be maybe the accessory area if I tried to find one. Once I had a problem in the lingerie section. There were some children playing in the area, putting bras on their faces... Kind of awkward when you're shopping and no parents were around. I asked a Khols employee and she took care of it immediately. She was professional to me and even those little monsters. Service tonight was very slow. Considering it's busy during these last few Christmas shopping days, one would think they would at least hire temporary workers. A 10 minute wait at the jewelery counter for a jewelery purchase because people are checking out at the jewelery check stand, without buying any jewelery is absurd. They should turn those people away! In general, the Kohl's bargains are not really bargains once you understand that they heavily mark-up their items, and then always have a huge "discount" on them, the prices actually end up the same or similar (+/-) as Target or Wal-Mart. Check for yourselves, even the cashiers won't deny this. There are bargains to be had, just not as easy as they try to make it look (good marketing though). If you have a Kohl's card, then you are more likely to get good prices with the additional discounts and things you get in the mail, but like with any credit card, those savings go away if you don't pay off your balance and incur interest charges. I do like their clothing selection over that of Target, and a lot cheaper than JCPenny's or other big-brand. All-in-all, once you understand their business model, it's averaged priced retail store with average service but good selection for clothing for the family with good prices if you know how to shop here. read more

My favorite part of visiting this store is the service I receive from Aisha. She has gone above & beyond the call of duty in every way. She always greets me, asks about my family and job, and educates me on sales and special promotions. She recently signed me up for a Kohls charge card!! What I love about Kohls is that they are affordable and they frequently send out $10 kohls cash in the mail. You could purchase $10 in merchandise and walk out without paying a cent. I love these. They also discount everything in the store. What I don't like so much about Kohls is that things are often unorganized. People go through things and just leave them around in chaos. Always check to make sure all the parts are with whatever you are buying. People also go through boxes and not put everything back. It can be challenging to get some help in the store, but not impossible. It is usually crowded as well. If you don't like crowds, avoid this store. This review is for service only. Overall, Kohls is such a fun place to shop. They're always sending 20 and 30% off coupons and you can also earn kohls cash for every $50 you spend. You can actually get some really good deals as long as you come prepared. Otherwise, everything is really overpriced. The reason I hate coming to this Kohls is because of the extreeeemely slow service! Like extremely slow is an understatement. There could literally be one person in line and I can end up waiting 20 minutes! They work really slow and take there time. I Think it's so they have to do less. An employee had a family emergency an actual one that was verified and this employee was not able to leave work until they found someone to cover their remain shift of the day. The WORST customer service, and it starts with their store managers and trickles down to cashiers. They are very unattentive to customers. I was waiting with someone else who was making a purchase and the cashier gave her zero eye contact, took her Driver's license and had to be told to give it back, and then shoved the receipt across the counter when the transaction was complete. When voicing this to the manager, she interrupted me in the middle of my explanation and patronized me with a look as if this wasn't the first time someone made a complaint on the cashier. This was my first time shopping at Kohl's and will be the last at this location. Kohl's corporate really should clean house and hire higher caliber employees. read more

I have shopped at this Kohl's for many years so I've been here early, late at night, Holidays, weekends, weekdays and almost always have a good experience. They have great selections, a variety of name brands, always something good on sale, awesome coupons, love the Kohl's cash. It's two days after Christmas and I went there tonight to make a Kohl's return and an Amazon return. There was no waiting at either counter. (That's not always my experience because sometimes the return lines are long but the employees always care and do their best.) I've been shopping here since this Menifee location opened. I buy all my clothes and household items here. My complaint is they have very poor customer service here. Last week I was here and asked two different CSR that worked there a question, and they couldn't answer my question. Then as I was checking out, asked the lady if she can give me any coupon's or discount's. I have a Kohl's card, and forgot my coupon's. They have always given me at least 15% off, if I don't have one on me. I asked her twice and she told me no. I love Kohl's and the Menifee location is always well stocked in the juniors and women's clothing departments. I'm only giving this location three stars though because 1) they never have enough check stands open. Both yesterday and today I waited in an incredibly long line. It was ridiculous and unnecessary, and the longer I wait the more I rethink the items I want to purchase and I put stuff back. 2) Customer service dept where they take returns, always has a long line and the people that work in that dept are nothing less than rude. And finally 3) WHY is it always so hot in this store? I want to try on sweaters but it's so hot in there that I couldn't bring myself to try them on. What a difference a day makes! We were in last night late to do some quick back to school shopping for our twins. I don't usually shop at Khols, I'll be honest. I prefer to shop at Ross or TJ Max for every day clothes and household items. The price differences are usually dramatic. I do like to stop in when Khols has their 70% off sales or use Khols cash. I also prefer to pay cash for items. I only have 1 credit card with a low interest rate. Last night I decided to apply for a Khols card to build my credit and so the girls could learn how to use credit. We made a rather large purchase of clothes for twins last night. I was approved for the credit card and we left the store. Today I went back to pick up a jacket I decided to get after all. I was in today and Kim was the sales person. She asked me if the person who made the sale the night before had signed me up for rewards or not. I found out that the girl the night before had not explained anything to me about the rewards program or how I could earn points and Khols cash. To be honest I wasn't planning to make Khols on my list of places to shop. It's either Ross or Nordstrom. I don't really have a grey area.....until today. Kim changed my entire perspective of Khols and I plan to use the reward program and I will be shopping at Khols more often! Khols you can thank Kim for being the difference!! The Women's Dept. in Kohl's is always super disorganized. I don't like that. I have worked in retail stores before and always taken pride in keeping my folded tables neat and organized. Normally I like staff everywhere to help me but it seems like kohls is way over staffed. So much that it allows the employees to congregate and talk about there personal bs. When your on the sales floor and around customers I don't get why clerks nowadays think it's ok to discuss there personal lives around customers with other employees. They still have break rooms right? I'm not really a fan of kohls lower quality brands but my wife and kids are. This store is absolutely terrible! All interactions with all employees was very negative. I'm going to keep this short because I'm so angry I don't want to give them anymore of my time. I saw the " store manager " I'm not even sure if she really was but that's what she was telling customers, interact with 3 other customers and it was all negative and she was extremely rude. I walked around with an amazon box for over 50 minutes and asked employees for help and non of them told me that they didn't do amazon returns till I was almost at the desk which Is hidden in the back and there is absolutely no signage in the store to say so. I never have shopped at kohls and after this experience I never will... I will be going to another location to return this amazon order and I was going to use the money to purchase some other clothes but after this I experience I will go out of my way to never give this company a penny of my money. I don't come here that often but they usually have what I'm looking for. Usually before going overseas I like to get new clothes without spending hundreds, First time I went to Kohls I got some Vans and some travel gear for about $150! It was probably $300 worth merchandise all name branded stuff. I went here and got some t shirts, shirts, and cargo shorts and pants for $80 not bad. Staff is friendly, but there should be more staff as it is a large store. Nice clothing store. read more
