I've never had a worse retail experience than I did today at Torrid. Unfortunately, I didn't get the associate's name, but her employee number was 515076. We asked if the store could honor the online sale prices since the exact same items were showing the discounted price live on our phones. She refused to match the online pricing or make a manual price adjustment, even though we were able to purchase the items online right then and there. Instead of trying to help or explain any alternatives, she simply kept nodding and ignoring our questions. It felt dismissive and unprofessional. In the end, we returned the items and placed the order online instead. If you're shopping at Torrid, you're likely better off ordering online, where you'll often get the better prices and avoid making a trip to the store only to receive disappointing customer service. read more

I love torrid and shop here frequently. I have never seen such a dirty store. Dust in large clumps in the fitting room, layers of dirt everywhere. Dirt hanging from the vents. My allergies went crazy. My eyes were red and I got all itchy in there. I normally go to the Corona and Riverside locations. The staff is nice at the Temecula location, however no one greeted us or offered assistance. I do love the selection for plus sized women. I really love Torrid clothes. I love their bathing suits, kimonos and tank tops. I really would love flattering tops, but not baby dolls. I had the best experience with Alexesis at Torrid. Torrid at this location robbed me of the price of my return. I came in a few months ago to return items I purchased online. I also shopped for new items. My initial plan was to return and receive my cash back. The clerk asked me if I would like to do an exchange. I didn't see any issues with doing so; therefore, I agreed. BIG MISTAKE! She "exchanged" my items. After going home, I realized she did not credit me for an item; over $60. I returned 30 days later to return everything! I was utterly turned off by this experience and wanted nothing to do with them. I was first told that they would only give me a gift card, and then they said that I would receive a call from the store or district manager regarding the $60 that I was never initially refunded. It is now a month later, and I have heard nothing of my $60. No one has called me. read more

I have been a customer of Torrid since they made their debut in Southern California. I find their clothes to be of great quality and trendy. Most plus size stores don't provide us with fun trendy styles but Torrid does! Cheers to you! When I found out that we were getting a Torrid in Temecula I was thrilled! I have been shopping with them since the day they opened and I have to say this is the BEST staff I have ever worked with! I tend to be a friendly shopper and maybe that makes all the difference. However, the managers and the other sales staff are always greeting me with a smile, eager to help me with the new merchandise and most of them even remember my name (and my moms)! I'm fairly new to Lake Elsinore and this is the closest mall. I came in today to try to exchange 2 new with tags attached bras. I was skeptical because it said final sale when I ordered them. I did take the time to call customer service to ask if they could please take them back they were huge. They said yes but since I didn't want to deal with shipping I went until the store. Let me tell you I'm sorry if I got your name wrong Kimberly she listened then told me she completely understood why I rather have other non wire bras. I love this store. Every time I gO the staff is very helpful. Love it when they have 3 for one on clearance. The dresses are beautiful. Kinda pricey but for the quality is worth it. My sister and even my sister in law go here. When we ever go to the mall we won't leave until we go to torrid and check out the clothes. Love the shoes too very comfy and super cute. Went in this morning... got a couple shirts and hair clips and was ready to check out. There was one associate helping a customer... the customer was on the phone... associate told customer to step over by the door to get better reception... not ones were we acknowledged... the associate just stood there... a simple "I'll be with you in a minute" or "sorry for the wait" nothing. I walked over put the shirts back and walked out. Not sure if this is the norm... but if it is I doubt I will be back. read more

I'm really surprised that this Torrid only has two and a half stars! My friend and I visited 7/10 around 130 pm. We were promptly greeted and asked if we needed any help. An associate helped measure my friend for her bra size and another set me up with a dressing room. When we were checking out, we thought that we could use our haute cash, but it wasn't valid until the next day; they were very apologetic and offered to hold our items for us. Walking into torrid, just wanted my $ returned to my card for a $ 30 return. Wanted to avoid $6 shipping, so took my online receipt and item into store 15mins away at Christmas time. Card I purchased with online is no longer valid due to cancelling my card because of breech of security, got a new card. Lady told me It would be returned on the old card, no exceptions. First time shopping at a Torrid heard so much of it I was happy to go there but the experience was nothing but the worst, employees are not welcoming not friendly and manager very rude!, I made a purchase on 12/30/2017 Black Mixed Fabric Faux Leather Moto Jacket it stated 25% off I ask a representative to make sure I was reading it correctly it was confirmed so I made the purchase left the store as I walked out and check my receipt I notice the 25% was not given to me so I went back spoke to a manger and she stated sorry nothing I can do discount was placed on wrong jacket and Advised and walked her and showed her there was more than one on that rack refuse to help and asked if I wanted to return the item because she couldn't help me!! and I now look on line and see that this jacket is indeed on sale with 25% off this is wrong in every way ill make sure to let you tubers know to be aware of this store in particular. I shop at a lot of Torrid stores. This one I will never shop at again. I went inside to order a couple of items to be shipped to the store from online. One of my items was the same price in store so I decided to purchase it instead of having it shipped. Issue #1 an item I was ordering was $5.89 online but she wouldn't price match it and tried to charge me $15 for it. Every other store will price match. Issue #2 The item I was purchasing in store I wanted to use the military discount on and she tells me I'm not allowed to get that discount because the item is on clearance. First of all that is the only discount you can actually use besides the $10 reward on clearance items. I've been shopping in this store for at least 10 years. It's a 10% discount and they offer it year round. Then she tells me it's because they are a new store. I'm sorry but that makes absolutely no sense to me. No matter how new the store is rules should apply every store not just the ones that have been open for awhile. I will never shop in this particular store again. I only tried it because it just opened near my house but I'd definitely rather give any other Torrid my business. I tried giving this location another chance and as soon as they opened I was first person in and I still wasn't greeted, no one helped me, and when I asked for something that I seen wasn't in my size I asked if there was any in the back? I was told no and she continued to ignore me. When I was ready to check out I told the girl who was ringing me up that I had forgot my coupons at home and looking through my email, when I apologized she stayed quiet clearly annoyed with me. So I gave up and said forget it. A costumer behind me, handed me a coupon and I thanked her and gave it the associate and she had to re-ring my transaction... she wasn't very happy, her facial expressions said it all over her face I continued to apologized to the associate. The costumer behind me also told me that she has had the worst experience here as well but has no other choice but to shop here and said sometimes she drives all the way to SD just to shop. And I also go to Moreno Valley just to avoid this place. Just really sad how they treat customers here, knowing what torrid stands by.. this store definitely doesn't represent this brand.
