I placed an online order for 3 pairs of Christmas earrings that were showing in stock and requested pick-up for all 3 items (I needed these for several holiday parties/outfits that evening and this weekend). When I went to pick-up, they only fulfilled 2 pairs of the earrings. I asked why the 3rd pair was missing and the associate working in the pick up area said it's probably out of stock. I told her it was still showing in stock at their store and I was not notified that it was not in stock. I walked over to the Christmas earrings where the other two styles that were included in my pick-up order and there were 5 pairs of the earrings that they excluded. I ended up going to the checkout line and pulled up my app/order and asked the associate if she could release the fulfillment pending order and this should show it was fulfilled within the store/I picked up and charge my credit card that I placed the order or cancel the fulfillment pending and I can pay now. She told me she cannot do either and that they are going to ship the earrings to me. I told her I need them now for parties that is why I chose to pick up in person, She told me I'm going to have to call kohls.com and see if they can cancel the order. I asked her why did they do this when they were in stock on the shelf and imspecificsllynrequested to pick-up and she said well sometimes if they think it's a popular item and there are 1-5 left, they will leave on the shelf for the customers coming in the store, not customers ordering for pick-up ... WTH??? I do not recommend that you ever do a pick-up order at this store as this store as the sales associates are not trained or make any effort to provide assistance or find out the correct answers ... go into the store and find it yourself. I called Kohls.com and they said that they can only cancel orders in less than 10 minutes from when order was placed because AI automatically puts it in fulfillment status and once it's in that status, they cannot do anything and if I want to send back, I will have to pay the ship back cost. So the local Kohls store did not follow the customer order request, they did what they wanted to do and now I have to use my time/gas to go back to the store to return? By the way, it's prime Christmas shopping time and they only had one associate working the register at 5pm ... line was so long and I waited in line over 20 minutes because this issue could not go through the self checkout. I also went to the Sephora area when I was there and asked for assistance with a lip gloss I could not find and the girl acted like I was asking her to do the impossible. She said, if you don't see it we probably don't have it. I asked her if she could check the drawer where the brand/products were displayed and she gave me attitude because I asked her to look. I explained to her that I did not want to have to go to another location if they had it in stock because I have a party to go to soon. She then told me to go up the street to the stand alone Sephora store. I did go to the stand alone Sephora store and was immediately greeted when I walked in the door, asked if they could help and they found exactly what I needed. I told her that Kohl's associate sent me because she did not want to help me and the associate at the Sephora store told me that that is not the first time she's heard this and wonders why the Sephora still exists in Kohls ... my thoughts exactly. It's the lack of training of Kohls associates because the associates at the Sephora store are nice, knowledgeable and helpful. read more

I have not been to Kohls since pandemic began, today I went there for an Amazon return. I was returning an oversized mirror and was frustrated under the scorching sun. The store manager Rufino was so helpful and considerate. He empathized my situation and assisted me to transfer the oversized mirror with his cart. I could not thank him more and wish the best for his store! The store itself was very clean and organized, and the staff were professional and ready to assist customers. I have ordered from Kohls for years. I have recently noticed that the quality of the products has been very poor. I ordered several shirts and decided to try picking them up at my local Ahwatukee store. I usually have everything shipped as I own a business and can't just drop by and pick up purchases., I went to find out how to pick my order and found out someone else had picked it up. I tried calling to get some answers and after 10 minutes hung up which is what they wanted. Unbelievable, they must have the orders just sitting in bins where people can just pick up items freely and leave. There needs to be a security measure here that people need to identify themselves as the purchaser. Well so long Kohls. The last time I was in the store my old Kohl's card was rejected, and I was told I needed the new Capital One card which I should have already gotten. Otherwise I needed to call Customer Service, which I have tried twice now. Each time I have spent a half hour on hold without anyone ever coming to the phone. In my account is a notice saying the new cards would be issued between now and March 2025, six months from now. I have a credit in my account I want to use. What am I supposed to do until the new card arrives? First, it would have been nice to be notified of the change, rather than springing it on me at the store by rejecting my card. Secondly, if you have a Customer Service number, someone should actually answer the phone. Third, it would make sense to keep the old card active until the new one has been mailed out. It seems that all that should be a no-brainer. I do have to say, though, that the staff at the stores is always nice and helpful. read more

I really like this store. Today I had an online order that I picked up. I got there at about 10 A.M. to beat the crowds. No lines which was great, but on this occasion the store had a horrible stench of a broken sewage line. It was all throughout the store and I mentioned it to the workers, but they didn't seem to care too much. I was so happy that I was in and out in 5 minutes so I didn't have to smell that any longer. If you buy anything at Kohl's for full price, you are doing it wrong. There is literally always a sale going on for everything. Another tip - oftentimes you can find extra coupons online to scan at the register. I found a coupon that knocked off an extra 20% from the total. I got 2 pairs of short sleeve button downs and 2 pairs of shorts for $50 total. The shirts were a steal because they were on the clearance rack and 70% off. The cashier said I saved $126. Lol. Obviously everything there is marked up a lot to make it seem like you're saving more money, but overall it is extremely affordable. Because you get what you pay for, the clothes aren't always a good fit or amazing quality or style, but if you spend some time perusing you'll probably find something that suits you. This location was tidy, easy to find what I was looking for, and the employees were polite without being overbearing. The fitting rooms were clean when I was there without clutter or clothes lying around. However, the clearance rack was kind of a jungle to dig through. read more

Long gone are the days of good service and taking care of customers. Just trying to fulfill my nephews holiday list which included some Nike socks. I ordered them online and the order was canceled. I get to the store and find a pair I thought was very similar I ask Alexus what the difference was between the pair I originally purchased and the pair that I found that was $3 more and she did not have a solid answer. She restated to me 4 times the price difference like I had a comprehension issue. The manager (Eneida ) comes and then she says oh these are dri-fit the others were not, just something she decided to make up! I found in the details the ones I purchased were also dri-fit. Ultimately Nike has an everyday sock and an everyday plus sock that would have been the best explanation but no one but the third manager(Lupe) was able to clarify that. No one offered to even find me the correct socks just they would not do the price adjustment. I paid for the socks went to the back and found The correct socks and had to stand in the line for a second time during the holiday season to get checked out. When I was working at Kohls 15 years ago this experience would have gone differently. I would have had someone bring the correct socks or given the online order was canceled and the customer drove 1hr I would have just done the price adjustment to show appreciation for continued business. read more

Kohl's has the best workers they're so polite and very helpful. I go to the one on Chandler. It's literally the only place I shop I don't go to malls. However, they're going completely automated. There was only one person at check out today. You must check out yourself, which is very impossible with all the various coupons and discounts and returns and all the things you have to do. Did I mention that the only check out is also the only return area they had one person there. There was a lady in front of me and she had some issues. She was picking up some thing that she had pre-ordered and she didn't agree with the lack of 30% off of certain items, and even though there was one person in front of me, literally had to wait 10 minutes only to find out that my coupon didn't work which I completely understand the coupon thing but one person working is ridiculous. A big thank you to Doria who works with Kohl Amazon returns. Doria was an absolute Angel tonight. This is our story. I had sent several items from Amazon to my oldest sister. One box had sewing items for the charity she volunteers for. The Charity is Sew Sweet Angel Gowns which makes baby gowns out of donated wedding dresses. These baby gowns go to babies who pass away in the hospital. In the other box were baking tins. The baking tins were meant to be returned because they were the incorrect size. My sister accidentally brought the box with the items that were to go to Sew Sweet Angel Gowns. There were small Angel charms and silk bags that they use as well as a few other items. Amazon would have opened that and expected baking tins and the charity wouldn't have their items. My sister was almost afraid to tell me what happened. She called Kohl's however the person she spoke to said it wasn't possible to stop the delivery. I told my sister that I only cared about losing the items for the baby gowns. That's what was important. I decided to call Kohl's myself and by luck Doria had just started her shift. I explained the situation. Doria was so kind and compassionate. Although the smaller Amazon boxes were mixed into a larger box with other returns, she said she would try to find it with the tracking number. I said if she didn't find it that was okay because at least she tried. Within an hour I received a call. Doria's voice came on the line. You could "hear" her smile through the phone line. "Mary, I found it! Just have your sister bring the correct items and her tracking receipt so we can get those items shipped for her". This type of customer service is going above and beyond. That's the type of employee every company should want on their team. Doria represented both Kohl's and Amazon tonight and she exceeded our expectations. I hope someone in corporate reads this and recognizes Doria for having compassion and going "the extra mile". I'm attaching photos of some of the gowns this organization makes and you will understand why this was such an important favor to ask of Doria. Thank you once again. read more

I'm not a big department store shopper but I had to come here to return a few Amazon items... Returning to the UPS store for these items carried a cost so I didn't mind making the trip. I've brought items here for return so just make sure you have your QR code ready. The Amazon station is towards the back near the kid's area and the staff is helpful in directing people as needed. During COVID, and middle of the week, the store was not so busy... Just as I thought I would be in and out in 5 mins, I find myself with another 15% discount code from Amazon and felt obligated to use. While walking out, I saw some themed T-Shirts and figured I'd add some to the collection. 10 mins later I've grabbed about 4 (Poly/Cotton blend is a requirement :-). The staff did a great job cleaning at the register in between customers and was glad to see hand sanitizer throughout the store readily available. Overall good experience. You can find some good deals on items but it balances out with some overpriced items...hence the discount coupons!!! read more

Sephora gal had absolutely no issue signing me up for a credit card w an expired ID and fucked up my address for the new card to be sent to. Tried to go to store weeks later to purchase items w expired ID and I was humiliated and denied in front of so many people due to not having the new card and ID. To the store Mgr of this location: I am not a fan of your coupons as they relate to when a customer wants to do a price adjustment since the item that I bought went on sale for $10 less before I even picked it up at your store. Since I did not have a "new" coupon (should have been given the same $10 off that I used when I made my initial purchase??) the lady said I had to do a "scratch off" which bottom line lead to me only getting $7 off of my final total ... instead of the $10 off that I should have received since this was the amount the item had been marked down. I've been shopping at Kohls on and off for years now. For whatever reason, the Kohl's here are scattered throughout the valley, and its a bit of a drive for me to get to one. This one is my "go to" location when I need to get my Kohl's on. Anyways, they have a full selection of mens and womens clothes, home goods like towels, cookware, jewerly and other stuff as well. I shop here for clothes, and today I was on the hunt for some new jeans here....and I got some on sale! score! Kohls has a nice selection of stuff and at pretty decent prices...I prefer to get stuff on sale here myself, and its usually worth the savings. I find that I love their selection of pants for work, and have a nice variety of sizes, brands, colors and styles to choose from. I do find that sometimes the tops are touch and go here. I've bought a few tops here in the past and they've always shrunk on me....like after 2 washes. They shrunk so much that I was unable to wear them any longer. It's not to say that ALL thier tops are like this, but its something thats happened to me enough that I hesitate before I buy. Anyways, Kohls is pretty cool, just wish they had more central/better located stores then where they have them at now, but aside from that....Kohls rules! read more

Kohl's Ahwatukee is a great store. The prices are excellent and the store is well stocked and clean. Troy, the Assistant Store Manager is extremely helpful and pleasant. He helped me save money by opening up a Kohl's account. On both my recent visits, he stepped up to assist me at the point of sale area and informed signed me up with my phone number, showing me ways to save money. I traveled to Arizona from California to do some shopping during the Covid pandemic; so I came to spend some real money. This Kohl's has just opened for a few weeks and they act like they don't need your hard earned money. Ken, who identified himself as the "manager", but didn't have manager on his little plastic name badge, refused to take my gift cards because I had a bunch of them printed out. He asked me where I had got them, and I told him I got them off a 3rd party vendor site. He told the cashier that she had to check me out again without my gift cards because they had a gift card vendor on it. So what does that mean? It's a good Kohl's gift card (same as cash) that goes on to your app/wallet but he wouldn't take it. They allegedly only take Kohl's or Kohls.com giftcards. WTF do you think first sold these cards? Do you think Dillard's is selling Kohl's Gift cards? Maybe Victoria's Secret is? Maybe Dollar Tree is? Maybe McDonalds? I only printed out the gift cards to make the cashier's jobs easier ‍. I called Kohl's customer service and they told me that the store was wrong and that they would elevate the complaint. Well I'm waiting to hear back and since I'm livid about buying gift cards so I could use them in store, I'll probably end up writing to corporate. Shame on me for getting punked. I should have asked for a real manager. I went to another Kohl's and had no problem with them taking my giftcards. I mean who should you trust? A person on a power trip who probably worked 20 years to get into management so they could make $0.25 an hour more than minimum wage? So I paid for all of the items all $600, most likely more than someone's weekly salary, and have to give this crappy behavior a 1 star. I'm grateful at times like this I got a higher education as some folks didn't graduate high school. You can tell some of those folks that didn't graduate by their behavior by their lot in life. I came to kohls to get some new bathroom rugs and to get a rug for my sons room. I found what I was looking for and i approach the register. Soon as the cashier sees me she rolls her eyes. I have not even said hello at this point so i assume she is rolling her eyes at something else. I walk up, no greeting she just starts to ring up my items. I have a rug that doesnt have a price so she gets an attitude bc she has to call for a price check. I ignore her attitude and ask if she knows anything about how the new kohls cash system work. She says yes so i ask her if she could explain it bc i hadn't received kohls cash on my last purchase of $178.90. She rolls her eyes again and says " that is above my pay level so you will have to call customer service. Youdont get kohls cash for spending $100 its not enough" I said 1st off dont be rude its just a question, if you dont know simply say you dont know . Lose the attitude. She continues to be ride and snarky so i asked for a manager and he came and i told him what happened and why i wanted to speak with him. He apologized for the rudeness and guarantees there will be a coaching session for the rude cashier and answers my questions. I shop here all the time and i have never been met with such rudeness and attitude. Im glad the manager soothed it over or i probably would have closed my kohls card completely. I demand respect especially if im spending money and treatyyou with respect. People seem to forget it goes both ways. I called in to ask for why I have not had my shipment since it was not shipped out and I called UPS and the package was never sent to them on Feb 13, 2019. It's now Feb 26, 2019 and it has not even left the wearhouse. I called and the first rep was very condescending Jackie TKG9HNJ. I honestly don't know why there aren't any Kohl's stores located in central Phoenix. All their stores are out in the outlying areas of the Valley. Maybe with one of the vacant Mervyn's stores(which I'll miss) they'll open up one in the middle of Phoenix. (hint, hint) Anyway, like someone else mentioned in an earlier review Kohl's seems to ALWAYS be having a sale of some kind or another. Which is good. This store is kind of tucked away...really not easily seen from the street. All the businesses in the parking lot seem to be blocking the store. Once you're inside you'll find a clean and well organized store. ( I have been there before but tonight you could tell it was a little picked over due to the holiday shopping season.) Took my time shopping and really did the entire store. Found a lot of great sales and got a lot of Christmas shopping done. If you have a Kohl's credit card they periodically send you coupons in the mail where you can get extra percent off discounts. My discount was for an extra 15% off but when I went to check out the cashier let me pick a scratch off coupon to try for an even bigger percentage. Of course I picked one for 15% but at least he offered. Thought that was nice. Check out the gold star clearance racks and shelves throughout the store. There are some great deals to be had and then when you add in the extra discounts get some screaming deals. So, I got a bunch of shopping done and a lot of people crossed off my list. I ended up buying a $20 gift card for someone and still walked out with three big bags of stuff for $51.00. If you're looking for some great deals for the Christmas season Kohl's is hard to beat. read more

(much like will.i.am? lol) Anyway, I was given a gift card and found myself in the store for MAYBE the 2nd or third time in my 30+ years. Oy. I will admit, I went in with less enthusiasm than being sentenced to watching golf. Face scrunched, I moseyed around the home section (passed by clothing- I am frugal and I like a good deal, but I am APPALLED that Vera Wang, Rock & Republic, and --what?! tell me this isn't true?!?-- Derek Lam have decided this route?)....Aside from being a Nordy girl, I'm also a Pottery Barn/West Elm/Crate & Barrel- girl too. And, if i wanted discount JCP is right down the street and their home stuff rocks. Nothing in bath ($50 Simply Vera bath math-$40 for her name. Its not that great), nothing in Home Decor, and I have WAY too many kitchen goodies. I settled on three home diffusers- smells amazing :) - and my waffle/pancake mix I normally get at Williams Sonoma for double the price. Score- 28 cents under my limit and am I a true shopper or what? ;p Anyway, the real reason I gave this 4 stars and not 3 is the customer service and checkout experience. You're greeted right away upon entering the store, people continually check back (not in an annoying way) and the cashier was so nice and cordial. As a retail professional for over a decade, THIS makes or breaks where I choose to shop. I may not make Kohl's my first choice, but should they send me coupons (I AM the coupon queen), I may return for some Bobby Flay BBQ goodies or something.
