I was very disappointed and nervous going to Kohls Monday 11/9/2020. I saw an entire family of two adult women and at least four children five and above without masks. No masks around their chins even. The family was taking up several of the dotted area while checking out. Then I went to buy my purchases and ended up in the same checkout lane. The whole family spread out crowding my side and cash register area. I felt extremely uncomfortable that not one employee intervened when there were several employees handy on an early weekday afternoon. When I was leaving I informed the door person I was crowded and uncomfortable as they family had no masks and were not social distancing. She said if someone tells them they have a medical condition they don't have to wear a mask in kohl's stores? I don't see that anywhere in state or medical mandates not on door signs of your store. I work in a medical setting and so does my sister and I have never heard of this. Plus for a store to allow this? Very dissatisfied with the door persons response and lack of assistance from staff. Their credit card brought my 700 credit score down to 500 in two months. DO not I repeat DO not get their credit. The first thing they messed up on on was they sent to the wrong address which means I couldn't pay on it even when I typed in the the right address and had the associate read it back to me, then it was trying to get a hold of them they 1 to 2 times a day about the card but they would never leave a message or say anything when I answered. I also tried calling them back on the number they called on and they would never answer. Last time they called I waited about ten minutes on the phone for them to finally say a word. The first person I got was not helpful at all, and refused to take my debit card because it also had credit card capabilities. The next time finally got to talk to someone that was helpful and thought it was over and done with. But now it still reports on my credit as late fees and that I owe money. Called then again and now their say it can take up 30 days from today to tell what's happening. So I'm extremely disappointed in the whole ordeal. read more

Would give ZERO stars if I could... They have false advertisement. Went in to buy some sandals that were stated as $12.99 they came up to $17.99 at the register asked if they can check the sign the Mexican lady who was checking the sign literally took the sign off and still told me they were $17.99 wouldn't even honor the price smh. I can never leave Kohls without purchasing something especially when there is always a 15%-20% coupon. Recently there was a $10 off $25 coupon which my boyfriend and I took full advantage of. The last two times we went there because we had a 20% off coupon, and both times we were told we couldn't use it because the first time the item was Nike and today we couldn't use it on a toaster oven because it was a "prestige " item. Overpriced items that only seem to become reasonable playing their discount/points/kohl's cash game. When I went to spend my kohls cash I made an online order to pick up in store. I spent time and gas to go pick up the order only to find out they cancelled part of the order and only had $6 worth of stuff. If they didn't have it in stock in the store they shouldn't have let me order online... or at least ship the item to the store for free pickup. Even worse the sale on the other items is over so I can't choose something different under the same promo. Online chat was no help, didn't have a clue what happened and told me to get with the store. Complaint to corporate only resulted in them telling me the same thing. The store told me to get with them online. To be honest I rarely shop at kohls, but now I will never shop there again, my best friend has autism and she is transgender, she has poor motor skills and has a hard time putting things on hangers and such so we were obviously in the woman's section, and we're trying on clothes there A person, I'm pretty sure she was a form of management came up and said we had to stop making a mess, and that she will ask us to leave if we kept being disorderly..? We were being quiet and the only disorderly thing was probably not hanging the clothes up where we found them then some guy came over and said that she couldn't use the dressing room in the women's area because she is a man.... REALLY..? I then explained if it wasn't like I dunno obvious that the person trying on clothing from the WOMANS section was a WOMAN . . ,?but I explained that she is transgender and doesn't feel safe in the men's dressing room and that she has poor motor skills and has a hard time hanging up the clothes And they said that they wanted us to leave and that she was not allowed to use the women's dressing room regardless of being a woman I will not be shopping at kohls their kiosks suck and they are transphobic and ableist ....I would of given negative stars Also a note it was late at night because we have social anxiety and it is less busy at night There was like no one else there but us like seriously I think I saw 1 or 2 people The store was an absolute pig sty when we got there and the manager got upset at us for 'causing a mess' And the fitting rooms don't have a gender specified on them they don't even have a section specified it just says fitting room. read more

Everything was great until the shop was almost closing and I was just finishing up trying on clothes. One of the sales associates knocked on my dressing room and politely told me it was closing time and i needed to make my decisions so I told her I was almost done. But when I came out, the assistant Manager Karen told me I needed to head straight to the register because there was only one open now. Which i did, but she was very unfriendly. My friend and I together purchased around $600 worth of stuff so we apologized for being the last ones there but we spent a lot of money. Everyone was very friendly except Karen. She was standing behind us glaring dirty looks, and after I paid I thanked my cashier and turned and said "Thank you very much!" directly at her, and she just looked away and spoke instead to my cashier and told her to close her drawer or something to that affect. There's no way she didn't hear me, or see me looking right at her as I thanked her. She was visibly irritated and made me feel resented for making them stay maybe 5 or 10 minutes past closing to make my substantial purchase. Maybe she was having a bad day and just ready to go home but that's no excuse to be rude to customers, especially when we were very friendly and thankful and spending a lot of money. Or even if I was just purchasing one item it shouldn't matter. Everything else was great at the store, great prices and organized, clean store. I have had a couple bad experiences in this store but the experience I had earlier tonight was far beyond my expectation of amazing customer service. Manager Brian went out of his way to help me and resolve an issue I had from a visit a few days prior. He showed genuine concern and kindness with me and honestly it was the first time I felt like I was appreciated as a customer of the store. I hope that this culture is manifested into all managers and customer service employees at the store. He was amazing and definitely deserves to be recognized as that! Karla, at the Redlands Kohl's was a godsend this past Tuesday evening. My 12 year granddaughter needed a new outfit for her first Jr. High dance at school. Yesterday I got ripped off by a hispanic young woman working the Jewelry counter at 11:14am. I bought 2 silver necklaces 20in and 4 brassierres and 1 wallet. And when I got home I was looking at my merchandise. 2 boxes with chains, 4, and 1 wallet. But my receipt shows $ 258.60... shows 1 extra necklaces $36.00 722089008288 of which I didnt buy. I have this love/hate relationship with my Kohl's in Redlands. I think of it as "mine" because when I go into another location, it just isn't as great. I have never had a problem exchanging or returning anything (and I very rarely have to), and there has been only 1 time where my checkout person was less than polite. I love finding all the bargains with Kohl's cash, per cent off coupons, and Yes2You rewards. It's like they pay you to come back and shop some more. And I do -- which is the "hate" part of the relationship. I buy more than I should but I guess it's considered Retail Therapy, right? So upset! I went to buy clothes, at the check out I paid got to the door and the alarm went off so security checked my bag found a sensor still attached to a pants leg of the rock republic jeans I paid for and took it off and said "have a good evening" I get home showing my family all the deals I got and as I pulled out my juicy coture pants at the bottom of the leg was another SENSOR! So instead of driving all the way back at 8pm my family got his tools and successfully removed it causing no damage to the pants.. I am unhappy about my experience! read more

To be very honest, I have never considered shopping at Kohl's because I usually don't shop at department stores in general. Since I had my son, my in-laws told me to check out Kohl's because they have deals on everything, but that I would get better deals off of baby/kid's clothes compared to other stores. So, one day I decided to check it out and I was actually surprised how much money I saved. I usually shop during their sales and walk out pretty satisfied. I love how Kohl's offers coupons and Kohl's cash to use on top of your purchases. The only bummer is that the Redlands Kohl's is usually out of stock on several items and it can get a bit messy there. read more

Please do not waste your time getting a beauty make over here. Although its only 25$ " You get what you pay for. "'- applies to this story. I usually go to Macys , Jc Pennys or Sephora to get my make up done. I heard Kohls does Make up. I have to admitt I was 30 min late to my make up appointment ...that was my fault. To protect the Employees idenity and reputation I am going to call her "V". So I sit in the Client chair. The first thing I notice that the makeup on "V's" face didnt look like someone who knew how to do make up. Her lip stick was pretty sloppy. She told me her own mother criticizes her own makeup. This made me nervous but at this point I didn't want to judge her and I let her do my makeup. The first thing she does is my eyebrow. All she did was apply eyebrow pencil to my eyebrows and you couldn't even tell that my eyebrows were done or anything .There wasn't any light concealer. I had to tell her to go back and darken my eyebrows even more. My Foundation was very patchy I had to tell her to go back and fix patches that she left on my face. The eye shadow was done like someone who is an amateur to the makeup world. I had to go home and fix my own makeup which was a big inconvenience upon not having my hair done yet. My frustration comes in is that my makeup looked like my friend across the street did it .It did not look like I went somewhere professional and had it done. The beauty girls here are very good at foundation matching but I think when they book people to have their makeup done they need to actually say that they are not makeup artist."V" was very nice very sweet and very professional and a good customer sales person. But it was annoying to have to go back and correct her on simple makeup skills she should already known. The eyebrow was not a professional eyebrow. Usually when you go have your makeup done by a professional you just sit back and they do the magic. Also when V would apply make up she was way tooo light handed its like she was afraid to put make up on my face. Like actaully use the product....ohh . After my eye make up I asked where is my eye liner??? She says ohh you want eye liner? EYE MAKE UP IS NEVER DONE WITHOUT EYELINER!!!!! see Thats what Im talking about it was so so so annoying. Basic make up stuff. All of her lines were crooked. Her contour I don't even want to be mean and mention it. It was defiantly " beauty student" level make up. She is a sweet sweet sweet person. I want to love Kohl's. They've great deals and selections, but this store is just disgusting and frustrating. It's so disorganized with clothes being hung on racks they don't belong to, manikins dressed in clothing that isn't hung near them, the floor littered with clothing and debris, and dressing rooms FILLED with clothing and trash. I go in to drop Amazon returns, but I've gone in twice to try on clothes. Both times I was so overwhelmed by the disarray that I put the clothes I wanted to try on back. I just didn't want to be in the store anymore! Anymore, I drop packages and just leave ASAP. read more

I don't buy clothes at Kohl's anymore because most look like something my grandmother would wear. But I do buy other items. My problem is their misleading sales signs. More than a couple of times I've picked up items that fit the description of sale items under said sign, only to find out at checkout that I didn't have the right piece. What was on sale for 50% off was on the bottom shelf or another rack ect... I'm more than a little frustrated with this and will only visit when I see an ad with something particular that I need. read more

I went in on 6/28 at 1:30 to look for a pair of shoes I never got in an online shipment. I needed these shoes for a specific event and since they had to be reordered they wouldn't have been there in time by shipping. I spoke with Kohls.com and they told me I could go down to the Redlands store and pick up my item for the same price I had bought it online(It was during a sale). I go to the returns center because I had a couple of items to return as well ask the cashier if I can ring up the shoes with her and run the situation by her. I first tell her about my Kohl's cash - I had gotten from a previous return and how it wouldn't work online and I rarely go into the store. Kohls.com said they would honor it but the store said no because it was "11 days old" and not 10 and then proceeds to turn her screen as if I was stupid and show me it wouldn't scan multiple times. At this point im starting to get pissed off so I say don't even worry about it (it was like 7 dollars) and then finally ask about the shoes. The cashier told me while I was half through what Kohl's.com told me "oh no you can't get those shoes for the price you got them online and on sale- our prices are different in store" like what? First why would the prices be different from online and in store? Second, I have a reference number from your customer service that says I can. She looked at me and rolled her eyes and said she had never seen this type of situation and she doesn't think she could do it and needed to call the manager. I could feel myself getting more annoyed at the fact she could have just called to verify but apparently Greg had the answer. So we wait for Greg(manager of some sort) and she explains the long situation over again and he looks at her and says yeah just call to verify, she has a reference number- I almost lost my composure and I'm sure you could see it in my eyes at this point. She huffs and starts picking up the phone as if this was an inconvenience-you know actually working! As she has the phone in her hands she looks over at me and says as if im a child "Why don't you go find the shoes so when I'm off the phone I can just ring you up to save time" So I leave and hit the shoe section and asked the shoe clerk where I could find the shoes I wanted and she looks at me and says I don't think we carry those in store. She had me go to Kohl's.com and look at the surrounding stores and apparently they are only sold online. NOW I'M REALLY MAD! Are you kidding me! I had to deal with her up in the front for no reason at all. I went back up and told the cashier who was still on the phone that they didn't carry the shoe and if I can put the order in store to be shipped and she tells me no because my merchandise would get lost in their incoming shipment and apparently the shoes THAT they didn't sell in store would get mixed in. I'm done at this point and leave. I spoke with online and got the situation squared and businesses wonder why their stores fail and online is booming-because we don't have to deal with this is why! read more

Did some shopping here the first weekend of December so it was pretty busy. They had good discounts there that weekend as well so I kinda went a little overboard & bought A LOT of stuff. I took out 1 star because their "shopping cart" was so darn small that I couldn't fit everything in there (i had to buy pillows that took up most of the space). fortunately, I've always been good at playing "tetris" & had to use some of my tetris skills to fit everything into the cart...video games aren't all bad ;) When i was ready to check out, i was disheartened to see the looong line...but i stood in line & was surprised at how fast & efficient it was. Waited for less than 10 minutes, which was way shorter than what I had anticipated. Overall a happy customer. read more

I had my coupon ready, finally got to the cashier where I was told I could not apply my 20% off! Since when are items excluded in the store?! That is completely obsurd and I'm not a happy customer. DO not use their new online ordering. It is terrible and a waste of time! I had the worst experience from start to finish & as a result I WILL NOT BE SHOPPING AT KOHLS again! I tried to order online after receiving a promo code via text. IT wouldn't let me apply it. I tried to chat with an agent who then said they couldn't help me and I needed to call customer service. I did that and after 20 min on the phone I placed the order. I got an email saying my order was ready to pick up which I tried to do later that night at the Kohls in Redlands. WASTE OF TIME. I waited in line to "pick up my order" for over 20 min. Unacceptable, I could have gone to the store and bought the items faster. There was one person handling returns, online orders & customer service. Once I finally got to the front of the line I showed my receipt & ID and waited for her to get them in the back. She came back with 2 different items - neither were correct. I then went to try to find them myself only to find a disaster of an area and couldn't find anything. The store was a wreck in the boxer area. I then was told that all I could do was cancel my order- so I did and left with nothing besides frustration and an hour less of my life. I then received an email saying "Thanks for picking up your order"- so oh wait- now I will have to fight them on it and waste more time. Terrible. If you want to try to get with the times kohls- get better technology, more staff to help and take care of your stores and better customer service! read more
