I was a G.M all of my life. Human Resource Management as well. I spoke with a very nice District Manager, he said he was 75 days in the position. I congratulated him. I was at the register, checking out when he was distributing $5 gift cards to the cashiers. How nice. I told him that he was the third person that I had talked to about the store not being navigable, people when walking down the main aisles, only one person, I couldn't with my small cart. I got bumped into by three people, this was the most uncomfortable shopping experience I have ever had to go through at any Big Box. If the fire department had to do their inspection, I am sure they would agree with me. Store is not safe for customers to walk in and out if emergency. Way too many floor stacks throughout the store. read more

Pretty certain fashion for men is being treated like we never grew up any more. Almost everything has some kind of character print on it now, even some polos. Doesn't help when you're 4 ft. and look like a cartoon character. Most of my available sizes end up in teens if I am lucky. Though, they do have a good selection of shoes, moreso than most other retail franchises. So kudos to that. read more

I arrived at Kohl's at 8:30 PM to make an Amazon return. According to the Amazon website, it said that Amazon returns were available during normal business hours which was 10 PM. I arrived at the store and was directed to the back of the store for the return. Upon arrival at the Amazon return desk I was greeted by a sign that said that Amazon was closed for the day. I was a little annoyed, but I suppose the employees at the store can do whatever they wish. While walking through the store, I noticed multiple employees on their phone and working very slowly. That doesn't bother me except that when I came up to the front to make a separate return directly to the store. I asked when returns for Amazon ended and was told 9 PM. I thought this was unusual since it was not yet 9 PM yet the return desk was closed. Another associate named Brandon approached, and when the cashier asked him what time returns closed Brandon replied with a not very nice attitude that it can change every night, depending on staff and what other things the staff had to do. Then Brandon proceeded to turn around, tell the cashiers that he didn't have anything to do and walked away. I found this very ironic, especially since at this store, the rule used to be that the customers were always top priority, and that you would do anything to help them out. I can understand not being well staffed enough to do the returns however the attitude that was displayed by this employee, especially an employee who said they had nothing to do. The women at the cashier's desk seemed very embarrassed and almost apologetic. I will say that both of them were very pleasant and did a great job getting my return process. read more

I went to this Kohls to do a quick shop and leave. Their website clearly says that 'all employees are required to wear masks' (p.s. we are still in a pandemic, and Johns Hopkins University Covid19 site states that there are now a MILLION dead from Covid19 in the US). NO ONE in the store was masked. I was the only person masked in the entire store. I WILL TAKE my business elsewhere for the duration, however long that may be. There are two new variants going around and this pandemic is NOT over yet. Either make your staff wear masks or put it on your website that NO ONE in the store is masked. If you are going to be lax, the at least be CONSISTENT. read more

I came in looking in the men's swim trunks area specifically the Nike swim trunks. I seen a pair that said it was $50 but was 50% off therefore making it $25. When I went to the cash register it was $50 and it was not 50% off, so I then went back to swim trunks and found another pair, went back to the register and they let me know again that it was not 50% off. I left the store and was going to go home. I called Kohl's and asked to speak to the manager and she was very helpful and said she would honor it and gave me the shorts for 50% off. She made sure at the end of the day I was a happy well taken care of customer. And I can appreciate that very much. read more

When I came to pick up an online order a few days ago...I was greeted with a smiling face from, Jacob. He promptly located my order and it was then that I asked him if they could do a price adjustment to my order since some/all of my items went on sale the DAY AFTER I placed it. He looked up the items on my receipt and was able to save me even more due to the sale. WHAT A BLESSING!!! All the clothes were for my daughter and I appreciate the additional savings that Jacob was able to calculate with ease. Came to get a sale food processor. It was marked incorrectly but as soon as I got up to the check out area, the attendant was right on it. She was on the radio trying to get a price and straighten it out. Then a manager came over and gave me an additional 10% off. They were incredibly helpful and friendly. Today I had the worse experience at the Kohl's on 120th. The manager was very rude when I said an oversized pillow I purchased was really more off that was directly under a sale sign and was the correct brand. She said it was a dog bed and that is why it was not discounted as much! She didn't even check. I looked online when I got home and the item was a decorative pillow and not a dog bed and should have been discounted much more. She would not give me the correct discount and refused to walk back with me so I could show her where I saw the correct discount sign that the pillow was under. She made me feel like I wasn't worth her time and like I did not matter. I wish I caught her name but she had blonde shoulder length hair. I came here to get some work shoes & indeed I was successful. I got a pair of really light & comfortable leather strap Croft & Barrow shoes for under $40 and have no complaints about wearing them 8-11 hours a day (standing). My mom thinks they look like "grandma shoes" but I did get a compliment on them from a co-worker! The shoes are all the way to the left in the men's section. I always thought it was weird how the shoes weren't more centrally located in the store or more toward the women's section. read more

I like Kohl's, they have some really good deals. This one though I do not like, the racks are always a mess, staff are not friendly. When you have to dig through clothing on the racks it really makes me not want to buy anything. I was looking for a specific color in leggings, so I asked one of the staff to point me in the direction, she rolled her eyes at me and said in a very smug tone, "Right there!" and pointed in a different direction. I was pretty much done shopping at that point anyways. So I left and went to Target to get me leggings. I have stopped going to this Kohl's and will drive the extra 15mins to another one. read more

To me its convenience.... its close, its off the busy street. Wide open area with lots of selections. I will leave a tip. I save big when i apply coupons to sale items, use kohls cash and sign up for yes to rewards. Spend extra time looking on sale racks to save even more. Also wide variety of items just for choosing. As a former employee of this store, I no longer shop at this Kohls. For one, this Kohls is usually messy and unorganized, the last couple times I've came to shop, lots of clothes were not folded and on the floor, the clothing is not size coordinated, a lot of shirts are on the wrong size hanger, come on Kohls you're better than that! And 2, Debbie Hartman (I believe is her name) one of the area supervisors, round older woman who doesn't belong in a work area involving customers. She's not qualified to be supervising other people, or customers in general. She's rude and ignorant. Yea she can be nice every here and there but I've seen her being rude more often than not. And I don't know how many times I've caught her "shopping" during her shift, she was on the clock seeing as she had her blue Kohls lanyard around her neck and talking over her earpiece all while browsing her "size" clothes and taking some stuff to the back area. And as my supervisor at the time, I hated her. Me and a coworker would be folding clothes alongside each other and she would randomly tell us to not be chit chatting and just work (LOL what a miserable woman) and yet you will always see Kohls employees at the front of the store just standing around doing NOTHING but just gossiping to each other. Because that's her department! The cashiers at the registers are more her employees than the other departments so let them do what they want, right? Haha what a joke! I usually don't complain about Kohl's but I've had a couple of bad experiences the last few times I've been there and today pushes me over the edge. The first incident was in December. I came into the store to do a store pickup and I joined the appointed line. Another lady got behind me with an Amazon return. We were the only 2 in line and we stood there for a good 10 minutes with no one ever coming to the counter. We both decided that we weren't going to be helped so we got in the exceptionally long regular check out line (next to the store pickup/Amazon line) and finally got to the front after 15 mins. The cashier told me that I was in the wrong line and was told to join the line I was originally in. Of course there were now about 7 other people in line waiting to be helped. I expressed this frustration to the cashier who just shrugged and said that there were clearly marked signs and i should've gotten in the right line. 35 minutes later after waiting in the original line again (one person working that line) I had my package. Today I went into kohl's with my 18 year old son to quickly pick up a shirt and pair of shoes for him for an important college Interview. Now, my son is autistic and generally hates shopping and people asking if they can help him (he has trouble communicating) but there was no getting around bringing him as we needed to check sizes. We found a shirt and shoes fairly quickly (he was asked 3-4 times if he needed help and due to his limitations from autism probably didn't answer as they wished) but we quickly found ourselves in the self serve line. When checking out I noticed that the shoe box I grabbed had two different sizes with two different colors. I left my son at the register and finish the transaction (told him to just wait for me) as I went back for the right shoes. I returned less than 2 minutes later and I could tell my son was upset. He said that 4 or 5 employees had come up to him with questions about why he was just standing there. The store manager was one of these people, and instead of just accepting that my son was doing just fine with his completed purchase (not doing anything but looking at his phone) he peppered him with questions like "do you need help" (no)..." are you done with your purchase" (yes)..."why are you standing here (I'm waiting for my mom)" ... "where is your mom?" (Getting shoes)...and on and on. Luckily I got there quickly but as we walked out, I heard a cashier say "that weird guy is finally leaving." Really? What a completely insensitive comment and an exhibition of complete ignorance of neurodiversity. Kohl's...the world takes all types and my experience today tells me that this will be the last time I shop there. read more

Things scattered from end of the shelf to the other all mixed in together- made it very difficult to find what you needed. Every department was a disaster. I have found that Kohls often has some great deals, but you have to beware, some items are grossly over priced. On this occasion I went to Kohls needing some boxer briefs, I found them on sale buy one package and get the second at half price. However no price was listed on the display rack. I found the price sticker on the back of the package $38.00 for a pack of 4 cotton boxer briefs. I thought that seemed a bit much, so I looked up the same brand on Target's website and found the exact same package for $16. That is not just overpriced that is price gouging. My advice if you're shopping at Kohls, keep your smartphone handy and double check the price with other retailers you might find you are spending twice as much for the illusion of getting a great deal. read more

This store gets me every time, it is right up the street from my mom so she always wants to go here because it's close. The thing is that their "amazing savings" are totally bunk, in reality they mark their prices up by like 100% and then offer you 20% off so that you feel good about the money you are spending. The clothes are probably just above what you would find at Target for half of the price, and really, it's maybe the same quality with bigger names on the label. Eh, it's Kohl's. There's one on every street anymore. I stop in when I have a 20% off shopping pass, but I don't go out of my way to visit. Still, if you have teens in the house, it's a great place to shop. I also stock up on the basic for myself - jeans, work-appropriate tees and button-down shirts, women's shoes. Spent another 20 min waiting in line for one girl to check out 15 people and when someone else came up to help they stopped and talked for 5 min. I have been shopping at this Kohl's for almost 10 years. It is a standard Kohl's, but I like that it is sort of off the beaten path in the Metro. It is kind of like a neighborhood Kohl's in Thornton. Service has been up and down over the years, but lately it has been pretty good. Kohl's is all about coupons, and if you watch the ads, and your coupons, you can score some good deals. The only problem is they mark everything up so high that by the time you are done couponing, the price can be only decent. If you sign up for a credit card you will get sometimes upwards of 30% off coupons in the mail, which can be combined with Kohl's cash. One little hint I do is if I buy a bunch on the credit card to get 30% off, I pay the card right there at the register after the sale is rung up. That way the bill is paid. I don't like to carry a balance there as the interest rate on their card is horrible. All in all, a nice Kohl's. read more

Kohls is your average run of the mill mall -branch type store. They have recently started carrying juicy ( kinda weird ) but apparently they're trying to appeal to a broader audience. I have to say, they do have a great selection of clearance and heavily discounted items.. but the area was kinda messy so you have to hunt. The store was extremely busy on Saturday ( go figure) but I was still able to run in and run out fairly quickly. I was kinda surprised to find high end cosmetics and higher end products in their beauty section. I will most likely return but will be better prepared for the crowds on the weekend. read more

I love Kohls and always get caught coming back with my Kohls cash. This location is in walking distance from my home which is a huge plus. They always have great deals and a wide selection. My only complaint is that the aisles are very, very narrow. If you try to use one of their carts, you'll run into the clothes racks every 2 feet. However, I know it's like that because they have so much stuff, so I'm not sure if this can be fixed. Still, it's a bit annoying to navigate. read more

I went in with a 30% off coupon. At the cash register I was informed that my Kohl's card had expired and that she would need my social security number to look up my account. I said I wasn't going to give my social security number to a checkout clerk in this age of identity theft. She said I would have to provide her the card number for her to look me up. I offered to pay in cash. She said she could take cash and provide a 15% discount. Nope. I came in for the 30% discount. I went home without making the purchase and shredded my expired card. I had my $30 kids purchase lined up to get my $10 off a baby/toddler purchase. A clearance item I picked ended up ringing up about $10 higher than the marked price. Instead of honoring the price as they should have, the manager just had excuses why they couldn't. This then brought my purchase below the $30 required ($29.12 pretax). Instead of the sales clerk realizing this, she read the coupon which said baby or toddler and told me it was only for a baby purchase, not a toddler. The saleswoman's inability to read was the last straw. I just left my items there and left. This store definitely isn't customer focused. read more

Came in today to use some Kohls cash and a coupon I got in the mail as well. I know already this store is a disaster typically but who can pass up on some cash. Anyhow after trying desperately to find something useful to buy I settled on a coffee grinder, not the one I wanted mind you because only the display of that one was out. The cashier said my Kohls cash had already been spent and that my coupon I got in the mail had already been used. I knew there was no way I had used it already but since she was insistent that they were used I decided I would leave without buying anything. She asked us to speak with her manager since she didn't want us to leave angry. We agreed and the manager came up and again insisted that our coupon and Kohls cash was already used and I told him how we got it and when we got it and that we had not used it yet despite whatever their system showed. He again insisted that they were no good so I again decided that I was not going to buy anything and he gave a really bad attitude to us so now I am letting folks here know that the manager there is not customer friendly at all and will treat you like a criminal if you try to use coupons that their system clearly messed up on if they are good or not. I recommend an audit from the state attorney general of this business as I suspect something nefarious is up there. read more

What a headache went there to exchange a shirt that had a hanger that said large on it only to find out later at home it was an xlg. No problem I have the receipt i'll take it back for an exchange. Wrong took an hour to get this done. The cashier wants my phone # my lic. my social security number remember I have a receipt. She tells me my kohl's card is not good. I don't care I paid cash hello. After she figured out that it's an exchange I end up going to another kohl's store for the shirt. When I explained to them I now have spent almost 2 hour's to exchange this shirt on my only day off. The store and deals are good, my only issue is with their manager Debbie. She is so unprofessional and Im confused as to who she is still there. I've overheard her speaking negatively about several employees/ customers to other employees and (as a manager, I believe you should keep these comments to yourself, unless you are directing it to the person to which whom you are speaking) I asked an associate who she was and she told me who she was and that associate I asked wasn't too fond of her either, she said several fellow employees don't like her. I have met 2 other managers here, Saba and Laura and they were always a great help, however Debbie? Not a good manager, Kohls should consider letting her go as Im sure the company would benefit more without her. My total was 104.98 she asked if I wanted a kholes card? I smiled and said "no thank you" my total went from 104.98 to 84 something and then went back up to 104.98 I asked why that was and she replied "because" all the hangers were still on the items I've bought and she looked at me and said have a good day. ??...
