I haven't been to Koho's in a very long time, and it honestly looks almost exactly the same as it did 20 years ago. The food is still good, but the restaurant could really use some love and TLC. It also feels too dark inside...the lighting could definitely be brighter and more inviting. A little updating, better lighting, and some freshening up would make the dining experience so much better. I hope they invest in the space because the food deserves a nicer atmosphere.

Tried the fish and chips tonight. Generous amount of white beer battered fish. I liked it! My Ohana also got the chopped steak moco which they said was "alright". The keiki had their usual chicken nuggets cheeseburger n fries. This is always our go to place if we wanna eat lunch or dinner during football season. We sit on the bar side so we can watch the game and get space dust beers and strawberry margaritas! Our service tonight was great.

Interesting atmosphere, dive bar lighting and a feeling of a Danny's. The waiter and bartender were very attentive and friendly.

We love the food here but most importantly my kids love coming here. We like to sit in the bar area where adults can watch sports. Service in the bar area is great too!

I've heard their advertisements on KPOA 93.5 FM and decided to give them a try. Glad I did. Their fish & chips was great!. Upon entering, I was warmly greeted and seated in a booth. My server was pleasant and professional. While for the food prep, I noticed two different groups of diners greeting folks seated and enjoying their meals. Koho is a local Family Restaurant. when my fish & chips arrived, I was surprised there were four decent fish filets. They were crunchy on the outside and firm & flakey inside. The restaurant was clean and well decorated.

Loretta is our favorite waitress. She's the sweetest. We love eating breakfast there before errands and shopping on the weekends. We haven't had any bad experiences. Everything is always great. Check them out.

I gave it a generous 1 because the servers are so friendly. But I have to rate this as we experienced it. Walked and was greeted and the smell inside makes you wanna walk away already but we wanted to give it another try to help this local business out. KOHO ! Please hear us out :)... Bring back the old days and remodel and clean up the place. We will see you again soon and hope it gets better. Mahalo ! Well they need to really remodel this place. The bathroom is in need of attention as well as the interior and kitchen as you can see it from the hallway. This place will not pass inspection if it got visited. Sharing the photos of the bathroom as well and it tells you what kind of place you will dining in. This is why I am sharing our experience. The food came out in time and looked okay until halfway in to the chicken and it was frozen cold inside. Had to return it and cancel the replacement and now worried we might get stomach issues. Sharing photo. Oh yes and thank you to our kind server.

We were coming from O'ahu for a boxing event and just arrived in the morning and we went in with a large group of adults and kids (14 people) during breakfast time. Food was delicious and satisfying portions and received promptly. Service received with Aloha and a smile. The ambiance was chill and quiet and relaxing. Would return to try out lunch or dinner next time or even breakfast again, too.

Roaches, and smells like piss at the bar.

But we were there to eat and not necessarily have Pau Hana time, I will say though some of those draft on tap sound excellent! Ended up ordering: -Ale Battered Onion Rings ($15.75) -Turkey Club ($22.50) -Beef & Pork Burger ($22.99) -Wedge Salad ($16.75) Those Ale Battered Onion Rings hit the app spot! Beer-battered in house and come with chipotle mayo dipping sauce, fried & light, not overly greasy, good with them using sweet Maui onions! Brother wasn't too hungry, so he ended up getting a Wedge Salad (LOL) but with extra bacon. Looked good too! Mom & wifey shared the Turkey Club - that was a BIG @$$ sandwich! Roast turkey breast with Applewood smoked bacon, mayo, lettuce and tomato between 3 slices of thick rye bread! Buggah was stacked! They both liked it, lean turkey with the fatty bacon, and the texture contrast of the fresh veggies made it tasty! My Beef & Pork Burger was a test to my cholesterol levels LOL! Near 1/2 pound burger made with ground chuck, cooked medium rare and topped with a pile of house roasted Kalua pork, lettuce, tomato, onion, crispy fried onions and BBQ sauce...was indeed a tower of a burger! Was pretty damn ono too! Burger got good char from the grill, and the kalua pork was flavorful and not dry at all. This burger didn't need a slice of cheese at all! Delicious! Maybe on our next time to Ale House we'll actually get some beers! Their daily Happy Hour specials sure are tempting!

Best way to find a local gem! No one greeted us as we arrived at 2pm, offered menus, anything. We sat ourselves, ordered beers at the bar. Great beer selection. Found out after looking online that they had food and happy hour from 3-5pm. No problem, just don't expect a tip. Menu changes regularly based on old photos. We tried the roasted eggplant for $15, and waited until HH to get $2 off the smashburger. While the latter was quite good, the eggplant dish was standout unique and tasty. The sauce in which it was served harkened to African spicy peanut marinade, excellent match with the perfectly roasted eggplant. Wonderful salubrious surprise that will be recreated at home. I asked a fellow clearing plates the inspiration for this dish, he said he'd ask the chef but never got back to us. With all of 3 tables to concern himself with... Everything is a la carte so if you want fries, just know they do not come with the burger. Everything was delicious. The Smash Burger was perfectly cooked, seasoned wonderfully, and so juicy! Folks, this place should be party of the ʻServing Maui for 30 yearsʻ club! I was here for a private event. The place is cute. Small, charming and loads of potential. The staff was super friendly and welcoming. Alrhough their wine selection was limited and a bit uneven (Sutter Home but then a J. Lohr for chardonnay), their ginger ale selection was delicious! The food was incredible! Tender, fall apart pork slices, covered with savory, brown gravy; crisp, yet juicy, chicken katsu with a bite of ginger; toothsome chopped steak, tender mushrooms and flavorful pepper slices. Perfectly cooked rice. Yummmmmmm. The mac salad is better than many, but lacked a little tang. Overall, the food was so good that I looked up their hours. Iʻd definitely return.
