I asked the workers because I saw them grabbing the blender to make it, and she said "Yea it's a liquid drink like a cream tea" then proceed to serve it in this insulated cup and gave it to me. This place is so cute on the inside. Beautifully decorated with japanese cherry blossoms. Popped in for a tea. They have such a variety and some unique combinations such as pink flamingo. Koi Cha was a random find for me. I was out running errands and the hunger pangs hit while on a boba kick. Lo and behold, Yelp helped me find this spot to take care of both my needs. The inside is nice and cute and reminded me of some spots from Chinatown. Staff was friendly so I let them pick what I got. I ended up with the Koi Cha Cream Tea with boba and some spicy popcorn chicken. The tea was very tasty and refreshing. The popcorn chicken fit right into my cup holder and was easy to munch on while running my errands. The chicken was hot and crispy and perfectly spiced. After lunch my husband wanted boba and we came across this cute little gem on Google. It's in a small business strip center, the decor is very modern and hip, they also have a couple of seating areas where you can do some photo ops. There's also some board games to place if you want to stay and hangout. They seem to have a large variety of teas, as well as toppings. Not only do they offer teas, but they have small bites as well, such as takoyaki, popcorn chicken, Korean corn dogs, Vietnamese eggrolls, shrimp tempura, cajun seasoned fries, macarons, and Japanese fruit sandos. I ended up ordering their strawberry matcha milk tea with traditional tapioca and he got the lychee on lychee with aloe Vera. I absolutely enjoyed my drink, and the strawberry puree that was on the bottom seemed fresh. My husband enjoyed his drink as well and said it was very refreshing. Koi Cha seems like a nice little spot to kick back and enjoy some boba tea with a snack along with some good company, we will definitely be coming back! read more

The service was good, place was clean and neat, the boba had a good texture and flavor. Their fresh green tea was a let down! I got the strawberry/honey fresh green tea. This is the third place I have been, here in the Houston area, that just doesn't have good green tea. Their Green tea has a horrible bitter/soapy/perfume flavor. It was the least strong of the 3, that I tried, but the flavor was still present and unpleasant! This happens with either low quality teas, too long steeping times and/or temperatures that are too high! I guess no one here in Houston knows how to make good green tea!! I travel for work, and have been to many other boba shops, from here to the west coast, and had not encountered this horrid flavor anywhere else yet! I am sorry but boba is much too expensive, to then give customers a bad tasting tea! Its not that hard! I personally brew mine at home in a electric pot that has settings for different teas... i often drink it plain with no additives! So I know how green tea is suppose to taste when done right! I cannot speak for their other products and milk teas (I am lactose intolerant, so I avoid those) but honestly wouldn't care to spend the money to figure out if those were good anyways! read more

Found this place by chance and fell in love with their teas. My sister got the taro smoothie with boba and she said it's the best taro she ever had. I ordered their koi signature milk tea and boy the taste gave me nostalgia of a boba shop in MN with their "golden milk tea" taste. Their boba is soft and slightly too chewy for me. Placed an order online for takeout and it was an easy process! I chose to order online because I had no idea what I wanted to order. They recently added snacks so I knew I wanted to try a variety in addition to their tapioca drinks. What I ordered: 1) Kimchi fries with beef: This was delicious! Of course it would have been better eating it there and fresh but the flavors were great. I enjoyed it, will order again. Reminds me of OhMyGogi fries. 2) Takoyaki: Comes in 5 to a order I believe. These were really good. You can taste the chewiness of the octopus. 3) Popcorn chicken: These were also good. I enjoyed these. I would suggest adding some paprika to these if you ordered! I did not add it to mines because I wanted to try it plain first. 4) Fried fish tofu: These were good!!! They came with chilled cucumbers and I dipped it with hoison sauce and sriracha. 5)Sweet potato tornado shrimp: It had a nice crunch and great texture but the shrimp was sooooo tiny! The way it was wrapped, I thought the shrimp would be bigger but it was mainly sweet potato. 6) Korean Corn Dogs: These were tasty! First bite/half of the corn dog was mainly cheese. You have to eat towards the end for the sausage. 7) Corn nuggets: sweet corn deep fried like a little nugget, cannot go wrong with that! For the drinks: 1) Strawberry smoothie: This was so good! I ordered about six drinks in total and this one was the best. Loved the flavor and texture. 2) Koi Cha Cream Tea: This is their number one drink. I enjoyed it but found it too sweet for my taste. I would get it 50% sugar if I order next time! 3) Green Thai Tea: I have no idea what this is supposed to taste like but I wanted to try it. It tastes like matcha/chocolate. Hard to describe. Was not bad. 4) Mango green tea: This is my usual go to order!! Love this drink. Be careful if you add crystal boba as it makes it extra sweet. I usually get it with 50% sugar! Overall, so glad we have a tapioca place down in the Southeast side as Bellaire is where I usually go when I want tapioca! Best place in this area hands down. I knew I had a large order so I called before heading out to pick it up. I would suggest the same! PS.
