    10pc nigiri
    Will P.

Came in for lunch and got the 10pc Nigiri lunch special. The freshest, most delicious fish served real fast. Miso soup was served as well and I waited for salad and rice but apparently you only get one? The menu said all three so I was confused. Otherwise all was great! Koi has been a staple since I was a kid and I don't come nearly often enough. Glad I came back, always looking forward to sushi.

Place is clean and cute. Food tasted fresh and yummy. All you can eat lunch is $41. A little too much for me and I'm not that hungry at the moment. I opted for gyoza and Carlos special. Sat at the bar and the service was great. Leena was so nice.

Quality/Quantity - Our guest chose this place for lunch. Thank you for having a lunch special. Because I am just NOT an AYCE person! Everyone ordered the lunch specials today. But we also got the following appetizers: Tempura $12 - Exactly as described on the menu. Sorry, I guess everyone was hungry as the camera did NOT eat first. But for $12, it would have been nice if there were a few more pieces, at least extra veggie tempura. Just enough for one piece for each person. Agedashi Tofu $9 - This was slightly more quantity and definitely a better value. Our guests really enjoyed this. I tried one piece, but I am not much of a tofu person. Well. unless it is deep fried?!?! As for the lunch specials. I got the 10 piece Nigiri for $22 - I really enjoyed this. Decent quantity and quality. See my pictures of the rice to fish ratio. Well done. Everyone else seemed to enjoy their lunch specials also. See all my pictures. Also got tea, I think $3.75 a person. Expensive as I believe my guest thought the tea was complimentary... as some of them did NOT even drink any tea. And of course, I shared my large Asahi, $9. Almost got a second, lol. Atmosphere - Small local business. I can't remember the last time, if any, that we had been here?!?! Nice clean decor throughout, especially for being 11 years old. Small lot, but because you are at the very end, there were no problems getting a space. Open 7 days a week from noon to 9:30pm and on Sundays from 5pm to 9:30pm. Service - Overall good. Not many customers. Price - $213, which included the 18% tip for having a party of 6 and with a 3% credit card charge. $36 a person, a little expensive for what we got. But I was very happy with my lunch. Owner Comment - Congrats on your success since 2014. Not sure if I have been here before or maybe the previous business?!?! It has been a long time since we lived/played in Incline.

Being one of the only places in Tahoe, makes it easy to compete. However, that's not a dig!! Koi has time & time again been consistent with what they deliver. My opinion (based on an early event weekday takeout experience): Miso Soup: Delicious broth. Nice on a rainy afternoon/evening. Quick turnaround: 10 mins total, from the time I placed the order to pickup. Staff: Always friendly & attentive! Atmosphere: It was relatively quiet & relaxing, but I did go on a Monday afternoon/evening. Ambient lighting. Cute date spot. Jalapeño poppers: A bit overpriced ($12.00) for 4 poppers. I liked the breading, but it was more of a panko so every time I bit into it the panko shell would fall off from the rest of it. I love that they did a krab/cream cheese mixture though! Also, not a fan of the sauce to dip them. It was good, just wasn't good with the poppers. Reminded me of L&L Hawaiian BBQ sauce. Crystal Shrimp Handroll: Spicy on request and was the a great mixture of ingredients. Although the baked/friend crystal shrimp was mushy (not crispy) so it all blended into "soft" mess. Still tasty though! Regardless, it's a great little spot & I'll continue to drop by when I find myself up in Incline Village.

Went on a vacation to Lake Tahoe for 3 nights. Found this gem, and we ended up going here for dinner 2/3 nights!!! The AYCE Quality is astounding. I've been the many AYCE restaurants, and this spot takes to cake for the quality and quantity they give. Each roll doesn't look/ taste rushed. The nigiri was fresh and were large cuts! The Hamachi (Yellowtail Nigiri) was my favorite, I ordered it every round. My only warning/ complaint is that service gets a little slow, and had us waiting for our next round of orders for around 10+ mins. We could see our orders waiting on the bar for a while after the servers finish chit chatting amongst themselves. It gets busy around 5-6pm just like any dinner rush, so be prepared to wait a little bit if you plan to go around this time. We only waited 10mins. Nonetheless, for an AYCE restaurant, the sushi is amazing and offer unique rolls. I highly recommend this place if you're staying nearby or specifically looking for AYCE.

Love koi for all you can eat! Their fish always is delicious, the restaurant itself is very cute they always have happy upbeat music playing, and the staff are all incredibly friendly! As a local I'm here at least once a month; with friends, family, or just myself when I'm craving it. There is a +3% for card payment so bring cash when you can but they do still accept all card payments! Always love coming here

I love me an all you can eat and I was really hungry. However we had early dinner reservations so I thought better of it. We got a bunch of apps and rolls to share. I love the garlic edamame. I don't know why more places don't do that. Missing a little salt but really delicious. I really enjoyed all the rolls we got. The fish was fresh and the rice well seasoned. The only drawback was the rice was really heavy so I could see the all you can eat being not an advantageous as advertised. I'm really curious too how the ordering works for ayce. The server made it sound like you just order whatever. The only dud was the fried California roll. For whatever reason it came really late to the table. The frying made the rice extra gummy so it wasn't really pleasant. Overall solid place. I could see myself going back

While the service was good I don't think I will ever visit when i'm town again. At first the rolls were good, but I have never had this happen before. With 2 of the rolls that had eel in it we kept spitting multiple bones out of it and when we called over one of the ladies to let them know she looked at us like we were lying until we showed them the bones. They did remove it off of our tab but we left not only feeling unsatisfied but also uncomfortable.

I was skeptical about getting sushi in the Tahoe area but I decided to give this place a try & I was pleasantly surprised. They offer a wide variety of rolls, and I like that they included a cooked roll section for people like me who don't really consume raw fish. The high roller & Friday nite roll were really good. The service was also great :)

Great ambiance, service and food. Customer service was top notch. Friendly, attentive and checked in every so often. I ordered sushi and it was deliciously prepared. Great spot for a family dinner, date night or to get your sushi fix.

Koi Sushi in North Lake Tahoe is a decent option for all-you-can-eat sushi, but it comes with a few caveats. Location and Ambiance: Located in a strip mall with limited parking, finding a spot shouldn't be too difficult. They only have indoor seating, and interestingly, the restaurant was completely empty when I went for lunch on a Friday afternoon. Service: This was definitely a highlight of my visit. My server was incredibly friendly and attentive, and she always had a smile on her face. Menu and Value: Koi Sushi offers both a la carte and all-you-can-eat (AYCE) menu, available for lunch and dinner (dinner starts at 3 pm). Heads up: The AYCE appetizer portions are smaller than the regular menu options. For example, the gyoza serving is smaller in the AYCE option. This leads to a bit of a mental exercise. I found myself constantly calculating if I was getting my money's worth. Here's the breakdown: To truly get your money's worth with the AYCE option, you need to eat at least 8 orders of nigiri sushi (priced at $6 avg., which translates to 16 total pieces). Food: I opted for the AYCE option and tried various nigiri: albacore, hamachi, maguro, smoked salmon, unagi, saba, and the "mickey mouse" (blackened tuna, shredded crab, avocado). Each nigiri comes with two pieces. The standout items were the mickey mouse and smoked salmon. All the nigiri had a generous amount of fish, but the rice portions were quite large, too (as expected). Compared to other AYCE sushi places, Koi Sushi shines in a few ways: Service speed doesn't slow down for AYCE orders. There's no time limit for your meal. You can order one dish at a time to avoid food waste, and they were very accommodating with this request. They didn't charge me extra for leftover edamame (though it's unclear if they do for leftover sushi). Overall, the quality of the nigiri was average, as expected for an AYCE option. Additional Notes: Be aware of the 3.75% credit card surcharge. Signs are posted at each table.

Koi Sushi had excellent service with attentive and kind staff. The interior feels cozy and I enjoyed eating dinner here. I ordered 3 sushi rolls to try, in order of my most favorite to least: 1: Dropkick - eel and fish with sauce, and fish eggs on top 2: Koi Nite - cooked tuna roll, green onion, deep fried 3: Deluxe spicy Albacore - spicy sesame oil, crunchy fried onions, togarashi, albacore, avocado It was a tasty meal, and I would come back when I am in Incline Village. The only thing that could have been better was the wait time could be even speedier- we had to wait a bit for our food, but it was nothing too long. The restaurant was busy too, so it was nothing too out of the ordinary.

I am a business woman so I show lots of patience especially when there was a new server definitely doing her best. We were seated off to a corner again no worries gave some privacy. Food delicious loved the ramen husband and I tried two different ones and we both very much enjoyed them. I loved the cucumber salad surprisingly my husband did too usually he doesn't like that sort of thing like vinegar cucumber etc but he definitely appreciated this one sweet and tangy. Tried two rolls Togo the mango one my husband was very hesitant due to past experience but family enjoyed including my husband. Husband and I both go Thai tea Boba and that was the best way to end the night. Definitely recommend, they also gave us complementary mochi ice cream and edamame due to the mix up and wait which we appreciated.

Clean and comfortable, with a lot of eclectic and funny signs throughout. Feels more like a quick meal spot than somewhere you'd stay a while. Service was good. Everyone was friendly and things ran smoothly. We had the tuna summer roll, fried gyoza, shoyu ramen, and tonkatsu ramen. The summer roll was fresh but pretty standard. The gyoza had a nice crisp, but the filling was just okay. The shoyu ramen was light but a little flat, and the tonkatsu ramen was richer but didn't really stand out. Prices felt a bit high for the quality, but that's pretty typical for Tahoe and tourist areas. Overall, it's a convenient option with good service.

Our server was friendly and knowledgeable, and she did a great job walking us through the day's specials as well as some of her favorite picks. I started with the In Crowd cocktail and really enjoyed it. The coconut, basil, and bitters balanced beautifully with the gin, making for a super refreshing drink that felt especially perfect for spring or summer weather. We followed our server's advice and ordered four items, two larger plates and two starters, and everything was delicious. Here's the breakdown: Trout Dip: Fantastic smoky, fishy flavor in all the right ways, served with crostinis. The only small nitpick was that the crostinis were overdone for my taste and shattered loudly when bitten into. Grilled Prawns: Super meaty and seasoned and sauced perfectly, with a bed of slaw that balanced the dish nicely. Scallops: Seared to perfection and in an addicting red Thai curry sauce. I was intrigued by the combo of kimchi, grits, and curry and have to say that it somehow blends amazingly well. Lamb Chops: Cooked to a perfect medium rare, expertly seasoned, with little gaminess and a cooling yogurt sauce that really brought the dish together. All in all, it was a fantastic meal and easy to see why this place is such a favorite among both locals and tourists. The food, the drinks, and the service all come together to make this a great option for any occasion from a casual night out (us) to celebrating something memorable like a graduation (several were happening while we were there).
