    Chicken pad Thai
    Geo T.

I have no clue how this place has three stars only this is some of the best pet I've ever tried and I'm pretty picky on my bad Thai you guys should try it first hand when you're here food was amazing and not pricing surprisingly!

    Mosquito / bug

I went here today to order food for my girlfriend. She ordered yellow curry chicken level 4 spice. At first, everything was fine. However while eating, she scooped up and saw something in the soup, she then saw it was a bug and asked me to confirm. Sure enough, it was indeed a bug which appears to be a mosquito. This place needs to make sure they cover their food so this doesn't happen to someone else. Worst part is that i left a tip for this place. I come to tahoe every year and this was will be the last time i ever purchase food from them.

Orange chicken has me sluggish. Maybe too much sugar? Otherwise, the flavor with the extra peanut sauce was incredible. It wasn't a new conscious experience, it was instead a lot of pleasure. It's like rotting on instagram. It's enjoyable but your brain rots in the process.

    Pad Thai

The place gets busy so there was a wait. We tried the yellow curry with pad Thai lunch special that comes with a small salad. The curry comes with peas, carrots, potatoes and is packed with flavor. The pad Thai by itself had a mild flavor so they pair well together.

This place was amazing! Some of the best Thai food I've had, and honestly, some of the best food I've had around Tahoe. Great vegan options. The Pad Se Ew and Red Curry were both delicious and hit the spot after a day in the snow.

All the food was good! We came in for lunch right after kayaking on a Saturday morning and we were seated right away.

Thai Recipe is definitely a five star little restaurant. They are understaffed, but the more than reasonable prices do reflect that. Even though there was only one waitress serving the whole restaurant, answering the phone, and dealing with the takeouts, she was very diligent, courteous, and attentive. We had their chicken satay, lettuce wraps with pork, green curry chicken, Panang curry beef, Pattaya seafood, spicy pork with green beans, Hawaiian fried rice with shrimps, and Pad Thai with chicken and shrimps. Everything was absolutely delicious and perfectly cooked. The chicken satay was really tender and tasty. The Pad Thai was outstanding. The decor is Thai, very clean and comfortable. With eight dishes, a Thai coffee, and a big beer the bill was only $150.38 before tips! Hard to find prices like these post pandemic. I highly recommend Thai Recipe.

This was a treasure find! It's a hidden gem in a small strip mall and unless you know where it is, you may miss it! Decor is basic but authentic. The service was good however our dishes didn't come out together. The food, however, was excellent! We quickly forgot about the timing of our plates to the table because it was so good! I only took a photo of my plate - lettuce wraps. We also ordered a vegetarian curry, pad Thai, drunken noodles & orange chicken. All was flavorful and the right sized portions. I will definitely go back when I'm in the North Tahoe area!

PROFESSIONAL& COURTEOUS & DELICIOUS!!! NOTE: Thai Recipe's are 11am-3pm and 5pm-9pm. I walked in at 3:30... The ladies running this restaurant were amazing. I saw they open @5pm online, however the door was open and there were diners inside. So, I decided the internet was wrong and went on in. I was greeted right away, and shown to a table. I had not noticed that the door was discreetly shut behind me so that no one else waltzed in. When I heard someone outside attempt the door and fail, I decided to take a closer look at what it said online. About that time, my food was brought out to me. I ordered the chicken penang curry, level 3 of 5, and a Thai tea with coconut instead of dairy cream. When I apologized to the server for my mistake, I was told it's OK and they're happy that I was there. They made me feel like it was definitely OK, and I could sit and enjoy my meal without being too embarrassed. This restaurant is tucked in the corner of Incline Village, in a strip mall/restaurant row and the ambiance is very quiet and easy to have conversations with friends. The food, was amazing. I'd have to say this is likely the best penang curry I have had... Ever!!! The only thing that kept this from being 5 stars, there was something in the curry that I bit into that was an unexpected crunch, like a gristle piece. However, I feel this is a 1 off and would not stop me from ordering it again. Come to Tahoe and definitely stop here!!!

The outside had a cute little sitting area with a few tables but it was too cold for that haha. And the lady at the register was very nice and helpful with suggestions. On to the good stuff...THE FOOD. Five of us got burgers, each one a different way on the menu and each of us gives them a 5/5! They were cooked perfectly, super flavorful, and all around an excellent burger. My 13 year old got the chicken sandwich and said the pickles were delicious and the amount was perfect, so she gives them a 5/5. Fries were thin cut & crispy. Inclines fries were better BOMB 5/5 for us & same with the garlic fries. And my kids said the chicken nuggets were crispy and fresh. We will definitely stop back to refuel again after another snow day!

It was frustrating and disappointing to see available seating go to other guests while no effort was made to communicate with us or find a solution. A little acknowledgment and customer service would have gone a long way. They didn't even apologize. In the beginning I thought it was a language barrier but when I politely addressed my concerns they were extremely rude and had no desire to find a solution. Most of our party left due to the rude service. Only 6 of us stayed behind to eat. We thought the food was good. We paid for the bill in cash, only for the server to chase us outside and accuse us of shorting the cash. Either someone stole it or dropped it because we paid the full price plus tip. Since we didn't have any proof, we had no choice but to pay twice. Will never eat here or recommend again.

So, my local friend wanted to take me to this Thai restaurant right down on the main street in downtown, if Carson has an actual downtown that is. We get seated at a nice table near the front. My friend already knows the menu, so I go with hos suggestion for the Lunch special Duck with sauce over rice. It's $22 bucks, so it better be good! He has the Thai battered salmon for around $19. Soup is included and it's just a veggie broth, though tasty. Then our lunch specials come out. Oh wow, that duck look really good. It's totally deboned, so no messing with bones at all. The sauce was super tasty. My friend said he thinks its some sort of duck juice reduction with other added stuff. Whatever, this was one of the most tasty duck dishes I've ever had. His salmon was unique, I never saw a dish like that made with salmon. The coating was very unique and crispy and the salmon not over cooked. Overall, I really liked this place. I think my crew is having lunch at one of the local casinos, I'd rather be here!
