I had a wonderful experience at Koi Sushi! The sushi was fresh and delicious, the atmosphere was nice and relaxing, and the service was great. Everything was beautifully presented, and we really enjoyed our meal. I'll definitely be coming back!

We visited Koi Sushi again for lunch after our mom's doctor's visit today. This has been our favorite sushi place. Eileen the server was pleasant. The restaurant is small with simple wall decor. I noticed people from the medical office building had their lunch here. A popular joint for to go order. We ordered the Tonkotsu Ramen for mom. I thought of trying different rolls. My sister and I shared the Under the Sea and TNT rolls. As always their fish were fresh and delicious. The price was decent. Atmosphere was very relaxed. Great service. Just because I loved the Under the Sea roll, I ordered it for to go dinner. We never miss eating at Koi Sushi whenever mom has her doctor's appointment on Vale Road.

Small restaurant with great sushi! The rolls were fresh, pretty affordable, and there was a good variety. We had the 49er roll and the Fire Star roll, and both were great! I also like that they asked if we wanted ginger and wasabi. If you're in the area, I highly recommend. The parking lot is a little small, but we didn't have any issue with parking.

The food and experience here is what I would expect out of a strip mall sushi joint. We were seated immediately and presented with a fairly extensive menu with a lot of sushi roll options. It didn't take too long for our food to arrive. The quality and taste was fine. Don't expect anything fancy. Presentation is what you would expect out of any standard sushi roll. The interior is appropriately decorated and Chinese music was playing in the background. Overall, prices are fair and my experience was as expected.

I was just here in Richmond and i ordered some food togo! I was on the phone when my order was ready so i set down and started to eat the rude lady came up to me and said you can't eat here because you ordered your food togo!! I said ok well i changed my mind you can put it on a plate if you like she said no it's to late Mond you there was no customers in the place at all i said well do you charge a fee to dine in? She said No so im like well what's the issue ? I just asked for a refund but i swear i had to be racially profiled please don't support these people even if thats not the case it was unnecessary to make me leave!! Koi Sush please spread the word I will never return to this place

Koi Sushi, a small hole in the wall in San Pablo is great for takeout, you can do dine in (probably fits about 20-30 people). When it does get busy, there is a wait and parking lot is small that they share with other businesses. The sushi is pretty good, have various of rolls and every time I order from them, I have no complaints. Good portion for the price.

I won't be eating here again. The service and time management were severely lacking. I was quoted a 15-minute wait for my food, but it took much longer with absolutely no communication or updates. The staff's attitude was the real dealbreaker. While waiting for my ride, I asked for a menu to order more food and drinks. Instead of being helped, I was told, "To-go orders have to leave." It felt insulting to try to kick out a paying customer who was actively trying to spend more money. As for the food: The Nigiri was fine, but the Tonkotsu Ramen was disappointing. The broth was okay, but the Ramen Egg tasted like a hard-boiled Easter egg that had been sitting around for too long. In addition, the noodles were subpar--a far cry from the quality you get at places like Mensho Tokyo SF. Between the bad noodles and the hostile service, it's not worth the trip.

First time for us. We were looking for a local spot for sushi and beer. Small place so not a lot of tables to choose from. Ramen was not as great as the waitress recommended fatty pork which she said had no fat. Sushi rolls were alright Godzilla roll and Halloween roll is what I ordered. Bento box was ok. I'll probably drive to Alameda next time I want sushi paid 75.88 total with three beers. Lunch menus would be good to have here

My order was ready fast and a great value for my money. I ordered a tempura dinner and giant tiger roll. The giant tiger roller is deep fried with shrimp, cream cheese, avocado, and other deliciousness. The dinner plate was full of friend goodness. There is so much food with a side of rice. The sauce for the tempura is a ginger soy sweet sauce, which was perfect with the shrimp and veggies. Now, the roll was huge. Heavy! I ate one portion and forfeit. It was too much breading for my taste. I imagine some people love it. It was like a tempura burrito, lol. I handed it over to Papa G. And he loved it enough to go order another one. I would redo when I'm getting my hair braided next door.

I want to love them so bad because their gyoza is really good. But EVERYTHING else has fallen off. Especially the bento boxes. The beef teriyaki is absolutely terrible. They use bad super fatty cuts of meat and don't cut across the grain and just put chewy ass meat in the box. Both me and my daughter had to throw it away. I also got the dragon roll which was actually really good this time. The spicy tuna roll tasted like the rice was old. Idk what happened to this place. But I'd love to go for more than gyoza to make it worth it. They can't just keep hurting me like this

Small but very nice restaurant with very good selection of sushi & tempura. Surprisingly small selection of beverages, no ice tea (?) but otherwise a really good lunch at a great price.

I dined here on a weeknight during a heat wave, and walked in as a party of 2 to be seated immediately. The host even provided options of which table we preferred. Totally unheard of especially when every other visit included a 45+ min wait. Mensho has great ratings, and for good reason. They have enough ramen selections to cater every type of eater. The ingredients seem quality and the noodle texture has the perfect chew, which Mensho described them as "mochi noodles". I opted for the vegan ramen during my recent visit, loved all the veggies and the broth wasn't too salty. I had a couple bites of the wagyu from the wagyu ramen, the meat was very rich/buttery. I probably wouldn't want a whole serving of that, but a few bites satisfied the curiousity. Currently, Mensho offers a matcha pudding type dessert for $7. It was very tasty with a few bites of red beans and couple slices of strawberry. I was actually enjoying every bite. Prices have definitely creeped up over the years, glad to see that they're still using quality ingredients. Service was good. I'll come again during the next heat wave. Haha. #39/2026
