There was an unpleasant smell throughout the place, and overall it just felt unclean and poorly maintained. It made it hard to relax or enjoy the meal. I will say the waitress was the one positive part of the experience. She was friendly, attentive, and did her best to check on us throughout the meal, so I appreciate her effort despite everything else going wrong. Unfortunately, the food and drinks were not good at all. Even the water tasted off, which immediately raised concerns. The miso soup also had a strange taste that seemed wrong from the first bite. We ordered the Ribeye Roll and Crunch Roll, and both were extremely disappointing. The quality and taste honestly had me crossing my fingers hoping I wouldn't end up with food poisoning afterward. Overall, this was not an enjoyable experience and definitely not somewhere I would return to. Overgrown plants, unkempt sidewalk in front, and a grimy restroom with no paper towels were signs that some maintenance was needed. I have a decent spice tolerance so I didn't find it too spicy. They were also incredibly nice and gave me the bottom of the batch that is drenched in sauce after I asked.
